“Be careful it has thorns” *Me:* lives in a place where literally every plant has thorns.
It don't have thorns its not just on plants it's in grass
me too
Bro lives in Australia
I really got my hand bleeding a little bit
If you touch the first (top) leaf and that one only, they (and only they) will close. Touch the next one down only, and it will close. This continues all the way down to the stem (if you are careful). BUT If you touch them anywhere else out of sequence, the whole leaf closes at once. They are a cool plant, until you step barefoot on a patch hiding in grass. We called them Sensitive Grass in North Queensland.
Nice im in queensland too But im in south-east

I think mimosa trees look like something right out of Alice in Wonderland in real life. They look like a tree version of the touch-me-not plants.
Because they are same family :)
And the scent is wonderful, big plus, no thorns! We would string their dried seeds to make necklaces, bracelets...
I found a mimosa tree behind the dollar general and I’m currently working on getting that wonderful lovely thing into my yard. I need to figure out how to propagate it.
@@rachaelelkins look around the base, you might find seedlings or small trees. Failing that, wait 'til I think early fall, and grab a handful of the dried seed pods. The seeds are a dark brown. I don't know if you need to prep them (freeze, scratch the surface, etc.) but maybe Google that or ask a trusted plant person you know, I think you want to start them in folded over wet paper towels and mist them daily to sprout. Baby it in a pot until Spring, after your pretty sure there won't be any more frosts. Nurseries consider them to be trash trees, but I love them. We had the kind that bloomed pink, but we were up on the East coast 6 weeks ago and saw some yellow blooming ones. I didn't know...
I uave some of these and they bloomed pink flowers that reminded me of Horton hears a Whoo
Wait, why should I be careful with the flowers?
The flowers are harmless, but if u consider picking one, be careful with the thorns
I think because clickbait

We have these in South Africa but with red flowers widely used to treat septic wounds, sores, bruises, backache and rheumatic joints. It is a traditional remedy for snakebite. Trappers or rather poachers also use branches to wipe the ground to remove the smell of humans.

Don't becareful: These plants are not harmful, they are just normal, for some reason, if you just only touch these plants it will only close, but it retains in few minutes, for someone who wants to know this plants, those are called shy or sensitive plants, its not touch me not plant, in some reason, as pinoy call them makahiya, it's actually true, since the Filipino word called "Makahiya" is for some reason but that word "Hiya" means "shy" in case of the word Makahiya, its also known as "Very shy", don't worry, you'll be fine anyways, if you find those plants, touch and you'll have fun Reason why they close Since Shy plants closes, they reduce the surface area exposed to potential predators, if you touch them, nothing will happen if the folding occurs How do they look like? And where to find? If you see a forest green colored leaf with a pink flower like dandelions, the leaves are many and has thorns, you might end up finding those plants. They can be located on some forest, in our school, the basketball yard outside have those sensitive plants, i have so much fun touching them You know what a Sensitive plant is now? Let me know in the replies!❤
