READ: There is no accidental discharge at 8:45, my finger is completely off the trigger, and there is no shell casing ejected from the rifle, because the rifle did not fire... it's science. There is some glitch in the video that looks like a flash or reflection of light--- some people are mistaking it for a muzzle flash, but it's just a glitch. Read the first sentence again.
Another challenging 3Gun match is in the books! Duskin 3Gun at Fort Bragg was some serious work! This match was scored “time plus” i.e. your raw time, plus time added for penalties and poor marksmanship on paper (aka points down). An A-zone hit was zero time added, a C-zone hit was .5 second added, and a D-zone hit was 1.5 seconds added. Also, leaving any grease ring whatsoever on the edge of a no-shoot (white paper) even if you didn’t break the perf was considered a full penalty. So accuracy mattered! At most 3Gun matches you can hose 2 shots anywhere on paper, but here, getting all A’s is crucial so I had to aim harder and go a little slower than I would have under a different scoring system. Things to work on for next year: building my upper body strength to improve my spider monkey skill set, and HIIT (High-intensity interval training) to increase my stamina & strength, as each stage was about 1-2.5 minutes long and I was gassing out intermittently. I finished 49th out of 171 people in the Tac Ops division at 67% of division winner, but there was no Lady category at this match so it’s unclear how many women shot it. This was a match unlike any other with a majority of the shooters being active duty military. Please check out the Duskin and Stephens Foundation to see the good work they do in the Special Operations Community. The Duskin 3Gun match honors the life and passion for competitive shooting of “Big Mike” Duskin, killed in action on 23 October 2012. The foundation supports the families of fallen members of Special Operations Forces, and provides scholarship to children of active duty personnel in several SOF communities. I can’t thank the RO’s enough for using their vacation time to work the match!!! While watching your video I pull a muscle, I bent my ankle and hurt my lower back all that from my couch. Very Impressive !!! Good Job.
hahaha thanks for the laugh!
I played all kind of sports until my knee gave up, It is easier for me to recognize your efforts because i know what it takes to push your body to the limits and Throwing Up" (In my Case ) was a good indication of that. 'Keep doing what you Love and you always will have a happy Life'.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hey 455 ,if your sore today , just you wait till tomorrow !
Hahahaha😂
Tired? Holy crap I am tired just watching you. Great shooting!
Well if you not fit you can't fight
You stole my comment, ok you didn’t “steal” it you were faster to the draw
Ha! LOL tired? Check out Tactical Games and you'll understand what tired is...this is a warm up. Great shooting tho
Seems like a cool event. I'm glad you're posting more videos.
Ummm could that be anymore fun for an adult?? You are extraordinary to watch. Absolutely phenomenal. You go girl! 👏
The flash is actually a lens flare from the scope on the rifle. The eyepiece is in direct sunlight and the rifle is pointed to the left far enough to refract sunlight onto the wall. Just like in all the old cowboy movies.
This looks like it would be ridiculously good fun.
George Mink Not when your adrenaline is pumping, your heart is pounding, and you have to control your breathing from lugging those weights in order to get a solid shot on the target.
@@ericknopf2109 hit a target or not, this will be still fun
Eric Knopf that’s just part of the fun
@@YesNo-hm8hj exactly, obviously its uncomfortable when your muscles are burning, but the adrenaline IS the fun, and so is the challenge
Great run. Amazingly difficult and diverse course. 3 gun is fun already, they turned that course up to 11! Those shooting tree wheels are tough when you get them moving. Well done.
My first three gun experience can be summed with “what can possibly go wrong?”
The physical aspect of this is great... Precision shooting when there's sweat in your eyes and your muscles are burning/shaking really makes you have to focus and be efficient.
"It'll be easy, they said," thought Mr. Burglar, "just a helpless young girl at home, they said."
Ma'am, you are a good shot! Great job! Folks commenting have to catch a grip here and understand what they're watching. Marksmanship and the test of stamina therein through diverse combat scenarios (like dragging a load or walking a gauntlet off a raised platform-totally understand that). There is training for clearing buildings and engaging combatants while working in teams or squads, but that is not the test or competition here. A marksman, her weapons, the targets and adjusting to different conditions while shooting. Simple and fast moving. This was so interesting!!
You’re inspiring and amazing Jessica. Great job!! Keep up the great work.
This was awesome! And to think I pulled a muscle getting coffee this morning.
Love it! Love you! Im training in a different way from now on. Keep kickin' ass Jess
Thank you so much for sharing! You're a class act Jessica! Blessings!
Many congratulations on your successes, obviously well deserved. The training you had to have put into this is impressive.
Again, poetry in motion.
Well done. 3 gun is no easy task. Keep workin hard!
I've never seen such skill and dedication rolled into a clip like this. BRAVO!!
I’ve been watching your channel for years and finally bought a Glock 34 gen 5 partially due to your channel and really digging the longer pistol after shooting a g19x and 17.
You're amazing. Rock on girl.
Man, how I would love to run a stage like this! I've run a couple of USPSA matches, but never anything like this. This looks like it is a ton of fun!
Hi, you come a long way in 5 years. I am going to start my competitive shooting journey this year looking forward to it. Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely incredible work, well done!
Great job. That shit looks tough. She is stronger than the average bear for sure
Outstanding job! That course of fire reminded me of my last day in Sadr City, lol! Are you gonna come back for the Sandhills Shoot in September?
That is some hard core 3Gun!!! Awesome job! That COF would test everyone to the limit.
I wish our club had the sort of funding that would make this possible. Thanks for the post. This is brilliant.
Excelente tiradora y muy atractiva. Saludos desde España Barcelona 😎🇪🇸
Wow! three gun is a Serious event, That was some dam good shooting, even when you had some misses, you keep sending down range and didnt let it bother you. Great job sister!!
wayne4386 I was impressed by that also! It’s easy to get frustrated when misses are concurrent. She handled that WAY better than I would have.
Love the way you shoot. Really impresive and inspiring
Great shooting and excellent camera work! Compliments to the shooter and the cameraman.
That looks like so much fun. Makes me wanna do 3 gun while I can still move heavy objects
Awesome shooting. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Not just fantastic marksmanship but amazing endurance too! Those courses look absolutely exhausting!!! Kudos!
I'm too am exhausted just from watching! Thanks for the virtual workout! Whoever designed those courses of fire is obviously quite fit and expects their shooters to be so too. As always, great shooting Jessica!
When did 3 gun turn into CrossFit?
NoBrakes23 I believe the weights and sand bag were added to put fatigue on the arms.
Heather coo¿ I can see how it would. This looked like an exhausting course of fire.
Ninja Warrior but with guns plz
Solve a Rubik's Cube then load it into a clay thrower and blast it! @Al Castill
This is so much more practical than running down a line of tape cracking off rounds at the speed of light.
Awesome job I am worn out just watching.
Awesome, nice workout, I'm tired from all this, nice to see somebody else miss some. Thanks
Awesome, AWESOME, job! Incredible course of fire, malfunction clears, spot on! Very well done to the highest level. Totally respect the skill and effort!
Holy cow that course! I lost weight just by watching it.
Damn I want to say good job but that’s almost offensive considering how good you really are. Great job
Damn! I’m sorry missed this one! That looked amazing!
Im speechless. AMAZING job! Well done!
What looked like a discharge at 8:45 is actually a light reflection on the wall.
Thanks for that. Inthoughtmit was an ND. But her finger was clearly off the trigger.
Good job young lady. Keep droppin hammers and stay safe.
Flow movement and Accuracy is empressive.. Gonna subscribed to this channel 👍👍
Jessica Hook you're an impressing shooter and athlete! Thank you for sharing the video!
Wow, that's quite a run. I would like to ask you a question that this video prompted though. I see a lot of 3-gun shooters encountering something like a stove pipe malfunction in their stages. It's a much higher rate of malfunction than I would normally expect, and given how important time is with such competitions, it's surprising to me that I see so many stoppages. Can you speak a little bit to your own approach to those stoppages at a process level? That is, what do you do after a match to address the issue? Do you do any work to analyze, diagnose, and prevent such stoppages in the future? If so, what sort of work goes into trying to reduce those stoppages?
Hi Aaron, you generally see more stovepipes & malfunctions with 3-gunners or competitive shooters, because we generally reload our own ammo, and tinker with our guns, in the pursuit of soft/flat/low recoil shooting.... it's an experimental art form! :) Factory pistol ammo tends to run "hot" resulting in more recoil, which causes a longer delay for getting back on target for followup shots. I was shooting .40 minor (low recoil) out of a Glock 24 for the last 3 years, but I just got a customized TTI Combat Master Glock 17L, so I've been trying to create a 9mm load that works with this new pistol. Assessing the problem can be a process of elimination. For example, before I adjust the powder drop on my reloading machine, I'll try replacing the recoil spring in my Glock, to a lighter spring. This might fix the issue I was having with stovepipes. If it does not fix the issue, I'll try increasing the powder drop by adding .10 (a tenth) of a grain of powder to my recipe. For example, I'll increase my powder drop from 2.9 up to 3 grains. Once I find a winning combination, I stick to it. Nobody's ammo or guns will run perfectly 100% of the time, but we are all striving to be as competitive with our gear as possible. There is a net positive in "time saved" with all the customizations in ammo and guns, that outweighs the inevitable jams & malfunctions. Hope that gives you something to think about. Thanks for watching! :) ~Jess
Jessica Hook I thought some of the stove pipes and or jams were set up. Like they set up that way when your changing weapons so you have to clear them.
I was wondering the same and my suspicion was the same as Heather's. Thanks for the info Jessica!
😱😱 So strong . (from thailand)
Great video! I was looking around for videos that would show me what I may be getting myself into.. and this by far is the more realistic. I found myself breathing hard for you lol! And I know your elbows hurt in the last clip! Great job!
Great video. Can’t wait for the next one
When I read that this was in Fort Bragg I was astonished for a second cuz I thought that meant Fort Bragg, CA. Then I saw uncucked AR's and normal mags and realized it can't be because freedom like that only exists in America.
Somebody watched too much Adam Ruins Everything.
@J Lau Conservatives didn't create the gun laws in Commiefornia, dipshit. Liberals did.
@J Lau No. Ronald Reagan as the governor at the time, outlawed open carry because Black Panthers were doing it. That's the only conservative California gun control due to racism, rest was the Democrats.
Can we just appreciate that reload at 3:13? XD
SkyOfStorms Right!?!? That was excellence in motion!
No, but I can appreciate the reload from 3:10-3:12...
How about at 4:49? On the run!
I replayed it 3 times it was so good!
There is no reload at that time, And it wasn't impressive it was a basic reload lol
I wish we had these type of courses in the UK.. Great vid!!
Looks like sooo much fun! Thanks for sharing Jessica ur awesome!
*My Brain: I want to do 3 gun!! My Back: IMMA HEAD OUT.*
exactly!
Caramba parabéns Jessica atira muito 🙂👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍 adorei o vídeo mais um escrito no canal Love arms like like 😀👍
Concordo arraso demais Very great👏👏
Amazing! It's women like you that give hope and courage to young women all over the world. Your practice and experience shows! Very impressive
O my god you are amazing!!! I am honestly at a loss for words. Anything I could say just comes up short.
This trey saying i love dis shooting training
All the triggered "60% BMI shooter's" comments are hilarious.
Wow! Awesome job! I'm just starting to check out 3 gun and could only hope to be this good!
Wow! That looks fun. I have shot alot of USPSA but that is on another level. Did stuff like that at Bragg but that was 18 years ago. Great job and good shooting!
It is my lifelong dream and goal to be a Firearms instructor so I can hold that beeping box and chase them around with it.
PRIVATE SECTOR 042 that’s just an RO lol
Nice event, however the tactics especially in the shoot house leave a lot to be desired such as running into a room with 3 "bad guys" and engaging from there. Stage may be designed that way, I am not by any way knocking your shooting cause you did great, just wish 3-gun would incorporate sound tactics, train like you fight
b S Yea this is good practice and all but the room clearing isnt realistic
Pretty sure she wasn't training like she fights, she was training like she runs a 3 gun stage.....
Sure..
I was thinking same thing. Like wow I could never do what she does. But I know not to expose myself with C&C. Plus clearing a corner... but as someone said train for 3gun. Not combat.
Yes her tactics in room clearing would have her dead in the first room.
Way to go, you make it look way easier than it really is. Hats off👊👍
Great job. I love that course.👍
Great job, excellent execution!!!!...but please keep your finger off the trigger when shifting your body to another position @(8:46)
Uhhhh, she did.
Cross Gun, i would have loved to do that kind of shooting when i was younger. Living in a communist state our options are very limited and under attack every day. NY Great Video
I had no idea such events existed. Glad this popped up in my feed. Good times.
I love the little shuffle step all 3 gun and pistol competition shooters do as the advance down the stages. Idk why or how but everyone does it.
wtf? This is 3gun or training spec ops?
Porque no los dos, amigo?
Tired? Your missing the 75lb pack, 10lb medic pack, knee pads, helmet and elbow guards.
Boot
The most beautiful shooting courses I've ever seen! The lady shooter is also beautiful and badass!
I would imagine there is a thinner crowd of three gunners who opt for this course of fire. wow... great job Jessica !!!
I love you, married whit me
Hi All, just a bit concerned of the PERSON Standing in-front of the Shooter at 1.48s... also the UD at at 8.47.. yes it was down range so guess it was ok.. the person was disturbing at 1.48s... I would of?????
Derek Eklund the “UD” at 00:08:47 was definitely not only a close call, the way she was holding it she could have easily done a point blank on the wall. But also that poor gun being macked against the brick.
Spot on
I saw that guy too and couldn't believe it. That's how accidents happen. Great shooting! My heart was pounding and all tensed up through the whole video.
The incident at 8:47 looks and sounds more like a bullet impacting that was shot from behind. There is a slight delay between the flash (dust kicked up from impact of the projectile?) and the quieter sound of the shot....
I love that they put a lot of physical work in it. Puts a new level of stress. Awesome!!!!
Very impressive! Well done!
8:47. Keep your finger off the trigger kiddies.
Sturm-Airsoft tell me more airsoft guy...
@@DiamondLifer dont you feel dumb
Crazy Pubg Clips No. Actually I don’t.
You realize this was recorded with sound eh? As in at the afore mentioned time, there was no bang, it was light reflecting...
Glubgawd Yes. I’m completely aware of what went on at the time mentioned.
5:36 Most homophobic t-shirt in the universe?
I think homophobic is a bad word for this... a phobia typically describes a fear of something and that shirt doesn't show fear it shows a dislike of homosexuality but not fear of it... But yea I would say he doesn't like gay people but that is his right just like a gay man has the right to not like pussy...
lol
@@senglish1983 I'd say he just doesn't like pink horses
Just because some one is gay doesnt mesn they have to be a beta fuck boi
oh my god, everything is now Homophobia. cut the shit and do what you want with your ass, we don't care, it's yours. fuck it.
Double holy crap - just stunning.
That’s some great shootin and training definitely a good video to watch to if others are thinking about getting into this kind of stuff
Nicely done, that looks like a pretty challenging course of fire.
Don’t sweat the haters, that was unbelievable ma’am, great job.
there is no way my body would let me do this even after I was born never mind now. awesome woman. thanks for sharing.
Wow...that looks like fun! Great job!
Awesome job girl! ❤ You're one tough cookie! 🤙
Those were some tough stages. Very Well Done.
Awesome girl and video!!!! Thanks for sharing. Congrats from Argentina.!!
Awsome course! Great shooting. Thanks for sharing!
Glad I found you! New sub for sure!
That looks like SO MUCH FUN. I wish the matches in my area where that complex
That is one of the coolest 3 gun comps Ive seen.
Holy moly..this is the first time I've seen this (3gun challenge) It looks like fun.
That was fantastic!! Nice job!!
Brilliant! You rocked it girl!!
