Winter was late to arrive in 2024 and I thought I could get Eddie and my ATV to a remote lake for a 5 day trip to explore the area. My plans got pushed back and when I got to the area the snow was already falling. Mother Nature decided to change my plans for me.

This is literally what people that live a very comfortable life do.
I really appreciate that you do things safely. Good example for everyone dreaming about adventures like these. “We do dangerous things in safe ways”
Waiting for the blizzard.
You look like you do alone well. I've watched your trailer build from the start. Good job. Most production trainers and motor homes are junk. Your is a. 10 . The best thing is that you completely understand and comprehend all the products and can repair anything you have. You're never going to be fooled by a corrupt repair facility. I'm in sothern California. Razed here actually. I'm spoiled by the weather. Lived up in the mountains. Always enjoyed the great Adventure and lifestyle. But that was 1980- 83 life and people are very different now. So peaceful watching your adventures. And the best part is no rif Raf
👍
Always love a great adventure way back in the bush during a snowstorm 🌨️. It always puts a little of anxiety when you have to get back out. Scott nice wood fireplace!!!
Thanks 👍
@@DrenalinAdventuresThis is where a SOLO wood stove would come in handy.
I wish I was in a position to make the trip up there too. I'd pack enough supplies to last me til April or May and just disappear into the wilderness for a while. This is a wonderful video. Thank you for putting in the time to film, edit and post it.
A couple of suggestions 1)get a towable sled to go behind your atv to gather wood Incase your snowed in for a while also can be used to cover your atv 2) a propaine heater either a central one and bring a 100 lbs tank or portable one with a lot of canisters for the night so you don't have to keep getting up to put mini logs on the fire a good night sleep keeps the Stupids away lol
Propane causes condensation inside rv. Especially small ones. I know I've been living in a 34ft motorhome for 20 years
@@12pawsinn Only portable heaters vented inside do this, regular camper style (ducted to the outside) propane heaters don't cause any moisture build-up inside.
Best tire Goodyear ever made 😊
You are so ready for the weather, chains ,snow shovel, but where is the ATV cover.
This appeared to be an exciting adventure. Cool!
The commitment to all those camera angles!
So nice to see you in your trailer it looked so nice & cozy .Winter camping is great if you are prepared. 🙂🇨🇦👍
It really is!
Great video ! I would love to be out in the snow like that all cozy in my camper .
Thanks for the video I have PTSD really bad and anxiety and watching the videos helps. I love the outdoors one day I will do winter camping. It's on my bucket list.
What a beautiful snow.wish I were there with my camper. You have a big time with all the snow.❤❤❤❤
Man that camper is awesome! And I love your woodstove!
Thanks a bunch!
Cubic mini
Grizzly mini
As a trucker. We can chains, jewelry for a reason... my father told me many years ago that chains are to get you out of trouble, not to go get into it. 😅 but looks like you're enjoying it. P.s only got into the first 3 minutes... I'll keep watching
Wow seems like yesterday you were building this nice camper. I also have to give you props on the way you transport the atv.💪👍
Thanks 👍
Really cool. Love the deep snow. The stew looked delicious too!
Thanks 👍
Nice. Camp spot looked awesome, and I loved the idea of the campfire stew. Great video. Thanks for sharing. 👍
Thanks for watching!
Awesome off road adventure!👍
Thanks 👍
I used a piece of Luan to cover quad to keep snow off. Easy to store. Or get the elastic tarp that covers whole quad.
FANTASTIC VIDEO IV BEEN CARAVANING IN THE UK FOR 40 ODD YEARS AND STILL AT IT at 65 . WHATCHING YOUR VIDEO JUST MAKES ME FEEL SAD. JUST WISH I COULD EXPERIENCE THE GREAT OUT DOORS LIKE YOU DO. NOT LIKE THE (WIMPEY) CARAVANERS IN THE UK. ONLY GO OUT IN THE SUMMER TIME AND MUST HAVE ALL THE SHOWER BLOCKS, SHOPS, NIGHT CLUBS ON SITE, WIFI, AND THE PAPER SHOP, 😋 ECT ECT. THANK YOU MY FREND . JUST LOVE IN ❤❤.👍KEEP ON CARAVANING.
Glad you enjoyed it
Well that was a good ending, phew! Glad you made it out ok and had another interesting and beautiful adventure. I'd also like to compliment you on your filming/staging abilities. Your videos are beautiful and detailed. It isn't lost on me how challenging it can be to constantly change your camera positions etc. You've gotten so good at it that sometimes I swear you have a camera crew with you, ha! Great job. Happy Winter, from a fellow Ontarian.
Glad you enjoyed it Sandra. I wish I had a crew sometimes, lol. I actually enjoy filming by myself, when I have company I get too distracted and miss too many shots.
Hi from Scotland 😊 loving the snowy adventures !
Glad you like them!
Awesome angles, cinematic
Fantastic video Scott, you live the dream, good luck and all the best from Holland!!
Thanks 👍
Yup, that time of year when backcountry camping can get a little more difficult when a snowstorm blows in. Earlier this year, backroads here in Northeastern Ontario turned to pure ice and I decided not to chance going into a Lake I wanted to get to. But I was definitely thinking; if only I had some good tire chains, I could definitely get in there. I'll check out that website. Thanks for the video.
You’ll like them
A great video! Thanks for the adventure! I have a cabin in northern Michigan and they just got 18” of snow. I can’t go up there so I enjoyed seeing the beauty of the snowy forest. Love Eddie too!! ❤️
Thanks
Beautiful video, thanks for posting. We live in a timber cabin in the hills above Perth, WA and we love out Cubic Grizzly in winter, warms us up in no time 😆
Sounds great!
Beautiful Winter Wonderland. Thanks for sharing the adventure. You might consider a large tarp to lay over your gear outside to make snow clean up easier. I’ve also seen some cut and drag logs back using there 4x4 and doing the final cuts and preps at camp. Of course that assuming that there’s a path for dragging. Really enjoyed this one. Thanks again!
anytime.
Looks like a great time!
It was!
Nice video. Glad you made it out without too much trouble.
Thanks 👍
Great content. I love the setup.
My two year old son loves your videos. Or am I the one loving the videos? Hahaha anyways. Great content.
That is awesome!
Nice set up , thanks for sharing!
You bet
One of your best. Awesome video
Wow, thanks!
Just one word: AWESOME!!!!!😊
👍
Both my familys and I camped for many years starting out in a tent. As a Scout Master I back packed with my troop in the Sangre De Cristo mountains and spent 10 days in the wilderness at "Philmont" (National Scout Ranch) at Cimerron, NM. but for some reason that don't look like fun. Have a good one and enjoy.
Would you like a cookie ? Here I'll just give you one 🍪
A pro always makes it look easy. Being prepared and thinking for eventualities plays a crucial part of survival. Not rocket science but having the wisdom and will not to cut corners will lead to a good time for all.
As usual. The best of the best. You the man!!
Thanks again!
I absolutely love your videos.😊
Thank you so much!
A great video 😄👍👌♥️
Dude, you are STYLIN!! I is envious.
👍
Very well done video. Looked like a ton of fun
Thanks for watching!
Those plastic shovels can break easy in da cold. I'd get the ALUMINUM one. Stew looked KILLA
Always enjoy your videos
I appreciate that
Nice trip.
Well done enjoyed the video 😊
Thank you 😁
Thanks again great video I hope for more videos 👍
More to come!
Only problem I have with your channel is that I want more of it. Not enough...more please.
I'll try.
Nice Video! Thanks for sharing it!
You bet!
Great video buddy everything looked awesome
Thanks 👍
Great camping setup...
Thanks 👍
Nice set up .
Thanks!
Always have a satellite phone in these situations especially
Great video first timer, I actually thought you were going to slo mo the fire 🔥 flames 🔥.. will continue watching 👍🏼
Appreciate it
THATS what i need to make.. beef stew. it looked great 👍 when you was loading up the 4 wheeler looked like you was going to go thru the pickup rear window.. well be safe out there & enjoy 🙏💒
Thanks 👍
Very nice 👍
Just found your channel. Love it. Thank you.
Awesome! Thank you!
I am one with nature. Most beautiful scenery but I would of been a nervous wreck with all that snow dumping down but your truck and Eddy pulled through. Hope your wife new you were safe.❤️
Thanks Trisha
You need to bring more stuff
I was thinking the same thing. The only thing he used the quad for was getting a half a wheelbarrow of wet firewood. But no tarp to cover the quad or firewood 😂
Lol city boy roughing it@genetownsend8847
Nice adventure.
Glad you enjoyed it
So where's the roughing it? It's a home on wheels and heated by a fireplace like many homes. It's comfy and relaxing, not really survival nor hard.
Princess auto has decent tire chains of many sizes. Work good for me. Nice setup. Cheers
Thank you!!
You're welcome!
That was some challenging weather for sure lol, and a great test for your gear. My only thought was will that trailer start sliding or fishtailing or be weird on the way back out but I guess it was ok? Good video dare I speak for everyone you entertained us all with this video, I wouldn’t have been able to sleep wondering if I could get back out of there.
Thanks 👍
I believe you have a sharp weapon for a protection. Usually bears and wolves around these areas
You need a cheap small tarp to throw over your 4 wheeler after you arrive at your campsite so you don't have to brush all the snow off each time you want to ride. Nice little rig you have.
Thanks. I actually have one. Just too lazy on that trip.
You definitely aren't lazy but I totally understand what you're saying.
Nice truck😮
The way you Filmed Cooking Inside and Outside at the Same time, had a Movie Effect...
I think this is the 1st camping video I've seen and someone uses chain saw chaps.
Have you considered adding a couple of tow points to the frame on the rear of the trailer? You might need that on those winter trails!
this is the kinda content im looking for. don't bust an axle or have a tree fall on you out there
thanks
My thoughts exactly. No fancy complications just real stuff
Or flip that four wheeler over backing it off the truck. My heart rate went up watching that
Great video nothing beats a good bowl of venison stew
You got that right!
Great video! I’ve been watching you since you had like 20k subs.
Awesome! Thank you!
Maybe time for a snowmobile, awesome video!
Lol, it's on the list. Actually thinking of tracks for the Grizzly.
nice shots
Thanks!
I towed with my hummer till the trans went out knowing I will upgrade when it does. Tows great in the snow just didn’t have the power. It soon will 😉
Beautiful video, nice adventure but i prefer my sunshine of Italy 😊 Hugs from italy ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
Teniendo bloqueo delantero es necesario las cadenas adelante. Aparte con el bloqueó delantero te lo corta electricamente las revoluciones
Awesome experience. Hey what kind of tires do you run for snow? I keep hearing the all terrain HYBRID is the best for snow, over mud or general all terrain. You must have some excellent tires by the looks of how easy you pull a trailer up grades in a snow pack!
I’m surprised you don’t have a cover for your 4 wheeler. Great video!
Güzel macera 👏👏👏🇹🇷
Молодец! Привет из Владивостока😊
👍
Maybe you need a good winch on the front of your truck Scott. Thanks for filming. 😁👍🏼😁👍🏼
You bet. I actually have one.
Just subscribed! We did a Pomoly Dweller wood stove in our little Taylor Coach for off-grid and winter camping, I see a lot of similarities except we don't use the water pump in winter. Wife and I head south to Algonquin Park for Mew Year's eve and also Family Day weekend. Funny enough, we also tow the little 14 foot Codester with an F250 as we summer camp in a bigger trailer.
Thanks 👍
Very nice video. I don't think I would Go Into the Woods without a gun. You just never know wild wolves.
Yep, my plate came within 5 days when they said 3 weeks initially. Perfect acceptable IMO
PPE is on point
👍
What was flopping around on that rear driver side tire right after you put the chains on and took off?
You would put snow chains on the trailer as well for more stability.
Great choice of tires and chains. I got mine at Titan Supply years ago for only $120, same exact style. Those dangling bits of chain always make me nervous so I tie them on with string or zip ties. But I can't believe you used the quad and chainsaw to get such tiny firewood! 😂 How long did that take all in?
You kind of look like George Lucas ,luke I'm not your father, this is a really cool looking little camp trailer my friend !!! 👍😊
What kind/brand of snow boots did you have for this winter video?
Great video. Nice setup for camping. What type of light bar is on the quad?
NiLight
3:40 Adam Shoalts grew up in same town as me
Great content and camera shots. But not a Blizzard. Officially, the National Weather Service defines a blizzard as a storm which contains large amounts of snow OR blowing snow, with winds in excess of 35 mph and visibilities of less than 1/4 mile for an extended period of time (at least 3 hours).
I think you need a tarp for the 4wheeler but it sure is pretty out there
👍
Great vid. The wood stove seems small do you have to feed it every hour or how long does it last?
I use hardwood when I can so it burns longer but it needs tending every couple hours.
How come you don’t have an electric atv?
😂 good one 👍
Seriously, because they suck in cold weather.
