  • Don’t give in to societal ideals. Do what makes you happy. You have built a brand and an enviable life. Thank you for your vlog and all you share with us.

  • You’re always so incredibly open and vulnerable with your thoughts Obi and I think that’s why so many of us can relate to you, because you’re brave enough to vocalise those heavy moments that we all go through. As for worrying about societal expectations… don’t. Life is for living YOUR way, on YOUR timeline. It might seem like some people are ahead, or they found their purpose earlier on but believe me, they will have different struggles - maybe some that you will be lucky to never have. There is no checklist to life and if anyone is judging you for where you’re at currently then they’re not company worth keeping. At age 36, I’m in the depths of my own journey and finding out my authentic self, doing the inner work to undo the societal conditioning I had growing up and realising that what makes my heart sing is what I need to focus on to feel truly happy at my core. Keep that in mind next time the anxiety hits. Biiiig hug ❤

  • Thanks for being vulnerable with us Obi 💛. I kept going back to "my body was perfect during the pandemic why did I fall off the wagon?" After speaking to a friend and telling her to kind to herself I realised that I had to do the same for me as well. It's been a hard thing to do but I'm getting there slowly 🙂

  • Hey bro! A word from my experience and an eye opening conversation with my doctor in my 30's. You want to enjoy fitness and love your body with its ups and downs. Enjoy the journey because when you get to 50 like myself, you will not glamour at the your best physique but you want to be thankful that on any day you gave your best and that was enough. Do not measure yourself against a standard. Just love the fact you are fit and healthy. If your body changes...let it change. Accept the differences. It's part of your body's journey. Enjoy moving your body and your life at the same time.

  • Okay real question Obi, do you not feel like vivobarefoot shoes are too expensive for what they are? If there's less fabric should we not be paying less money? I know some people will pay well over $200 for shoes, but I've never been one of those people. It just sometimes feels like vivo is taking advantage of people that are willing to invest in better foot health.

  • To be fair i find that those who just do what society says do aren't successful. Those who wait usually end up more content in the end. I think that's why divorce is so high people are just marrying having kids etc only to divorce and try to find true contentment. I say do that first before you couple yourself to someone and create children. Buying a home is a huge financial commitment that should be given serious thought as well. I wouldn't worry about society you're doing just fine.

You still look shredded… you still look like you walked off the set of men’s health 😂. Maybe you were bigger or more shredded 10 years ago… but you are still shredded AF even after not working out for 3 months.

  • Who decides that you should have kids, car, house, already know what you want. Who decides? Living life to fullfill others expectations is life live by them, not living your authentic self, no reason for shame or justification. Important people will loving you and understand you just the way it is. If others dont, is not your bussiness, you cannot control them and no need to accept you. If you feel your value. Im in similar situation, pretty out of "normal" thats why it touched me and have understanding that its not really a pleasant to deal with such a preasure, which can be result, but its only part of our mind, that feels worries, couse it protects us from being hurt, so its ok, its good, this means our body take care about us, to feel also something bad to not being as aspected from others is good and normal sing. People who has good heart will respect you as you are without judging and understand, that each life story is comletely different and everything has good reasons. You are absolutely normal, you just reacted on cimcurstences you were faced in life. I wonder about your insomnia psychological couse. Do you know, why your nervous system is still alert like expecting danger so is not able to switch into calm mode when you feel safe and not threatened? Do you got emotional stres from something? Also you mentioned you got something, that if you achieve something you feel like its not good enough, it come from your childhood for sure. Therapy would surely explain where it comes from and would fix this symptom of not able to feel real appreciation for you, to feel your value. Hopefully youre not mad reading this. Its just my feeling about you and it could be completely of out place, so if it is, excuse me, not meaning in bad or arogant way, just from interest about you, couse these are very important and delicate topic, so worth mentioning like this. If you red this far, its good :) Have a good one brother, you live very extraordinary life I would be very proud to live.
