Nope, I noticed it too when watching the series. Not gonna lie, it feels like the franchise would’ve been better like this.
In my opinion, the animated series mischaracterizes the characters and the story as such. It skips very important details of the personality of Theodore, Nicholas and the rest of the gang, while glossing over major events in the story itself. If you are talking about how they express this alternative universe in this series then I understand it, but I don't think it is good to compare how each one has presented the stories because they have different things to tell.
@@luzzielvspearlinaThank you! God, it just bothered the hell out of me how different the characters felt. Even, their voices and mannerisms don’t match the acting from the spin off games. Honestly, I think it was a bad idea to rush into this. Especially, when they have books they could go off of. There’s actually a game called Gylt that I feel is what Hello Neighbor should’ve been because it executes it’s story, tone and lore way better. An has a similar animated feel.
Well I could understand the story of peterson from the first game but I agree because I didn't understand nothing about hello neighbor 2, and I understood more with the series

The shadow man was always so interesting to me, I'm happy that we're going to see him more in the new season
The shadow man is a representation of fear, and the one that pulls all the strings. The neighbour locked his son in the basement, one, because he didn't want to lose him, and two, to protect him from the bad luck bestowed on him by the guest(s). The guests collect gold coins representing life and have the power to give and take life. They collect these coins to become immortal because fear manipulates them to fear death.

I hope my theories are in season 2, here's my idea. -The Guest is revealed to be Mr. Peterson's brother - More of Mr. Peterson's past and secrets are revealed -Mr. Peterson getting revenge on his bullies by killing them both -Mr. Peterson's son Aaron and daughter Mya to appear in flashbacks -Another cliffhanger for the ending season -Most characters from the video game to appear -Mr. Peterson almost has his redemption It could fortunately be for season 3, both graphic novels and games are connected making it the same universe as the game.
The Scout seems to be planning something. Also, the Science teacher might actually be another antagonistic force in the show rather than just a creepy side character.

Sad thing is, Theodore's brother fell from the edge and died, years later, same as Theo's daughter Mya fell from the edge and unfortunately died. I think, in the story, Aaron and Mya's fate will be same as their father and uncle. Both are Petersons and probably will help themselves until Aaron will get mental brake down and accidentally push his sister. Can't wait to see the season 2.
It actually paints Mr. Peterson in a more sympathetic light, no wonder his overly paranoid and cautious, his entire life is filled with tragedy, losing his brother who became the shadow entity, losing both his wife and daughter.
@@blackdemonknight - Yeah, true. But at least, Mya would have lived. She was the emotionally positive one in the family. When Diane died, only she was trying to cheer up Aaron with playing games. She didn't deserved to die too soon. To me, maybe if Mya survived the fall, but not because she fell and luckily lived, but someone saved her and kept her safe away from his mentally ill brother and depressed father. Like a hero of her. Maybe that would be good for the storyline too. Like, Mya is alive but lost her memory due to the fall, got injured but lived. The thing is she don't remember who is she and who's daughter or who's sister. After some time she finds that someone saved her but she can't remember who. Years pass, Mya return as adult and meet adult Nicky, so do with her family, at least who has left from it.
I thought mr petersins son was the shadow man BUT HIS BROTHER?! Hell nah this explained why we see this dude in the act version

These images definitely tease that series 2 will be darker than the first. Here, we can expect to see the Guest, possibly the Forest Protectors, and definitely the Shadow Man, who I think will be more of a sub-plot. Still, can’t wait for when Series 2 comes out.

Interesting, I have no idea why there is a giant hole inside the mayak, but who were those people that were fighting at the mayak? With Theodore’s brother down in the hole, the mayak powered up, facts from secret neighbor, maybe something with levers or something, but it looked like the energy from the mayak was so strong, it could make the shadow man from Theodore’s brother’s corpses. Very interesting. And my theory is that maybe the people that were fighting could of been like the baker, mayor taxidermist, and, who forgot about the guest?

That wasn't his brother, that was an unknown person, the picture isn't actually canon and is just a call back to the pre-alpha and the first two alphas of the original game. The picture could be found in those versions.

in season 2 i bieve that the thing will appear. nicky and the rescue squad go to the abandoned building with the giant eyeball(which is the place where theodores brother died) and they explore it and then later they get to the hole where mr. petersons brother fell. they are confused as why there is a giant hole and they leave but 2 white glowing eyes appear in the hole. nicky and the squad worries mr. peterson is goonna attack them but he is not there someTHING else is there. then the shadow thing screechs and they are scared.
