    • I'm starting to think so too. He has been knocked out by a head kick earlier in his career, and he became one of the best featherweights to ever do it, and challenged the 155 champ in a war. He will be back better. This guy is too elite to let a KO loss on short notice change him for the worse

    • @@clkgtr12 If the Volk from Islam 1 and Yair Rodriguez fight shows up, I think he still has about 2 good years in the tank. Other than the short notice fight he never seemed to slow down. But lets see, I just dont think Volk will lose due to his experience. 35 is indeed the age where most fightera decline, but I feel like Volk still got it. He seems genetically different, like when he surprised everyone in his first fight against Islam, he was just as physically strong as Makhachev, wich is crazy for a 145er.

    • I think Ilia is just visualizing which is Ok. He is also selling the fight. On the other hand, Ilia has been training literally since a child. Wrestling first then MMA and for Emmet he showed much improvement which means he can adapt and evolve. The version I saw VS Emmet is not ready for Alex bc Alex is way more versatile so I doubt Ilia can jab him like he did with Emmet. But hey Sean Strickland defeated one of the most random fighters, Izzy, just jabbing so if Alexs reflexes are not on point then whats he gonna do? Kicks ok Ilia is surely training for that. Grappling? I dont think anybody can grapple with Ilia in the featherweight. So SUPER exciting match.🎉🎉🎉 Let's F go!!!!!

  • It took me some time to recognize & appreciate Alexander's skillset, ability, & fight IQ. He's stood the test of time & is a positive representative of the sport as a champion. It's unfortunate that he took the Islam Makhachev fight without preparation & paid a heavy price. I respect the self belief it takes to try & conquer another weight class given the worst circumstances. I expect a great battle against a young, motivated, & confident Ilia Topuria.
