Truly I am in (desperate) need of whatever good you send down to me.“ رَبِّ إِنّى لِما أَنزَلتَ إِلَىَّ مِن خَيرٍ فَقيرٌ (Rabbee innee limaa anzalta ilayya min khayrin faqeer). Al-Qasas 28:24

DUA FOR THE ONE IN DISTRESS (recite morning and evening): Transliteration: Yaa Hayyu yaa Qayyoom, birahmatika astagheeth, aslih-li sha'ni kullah, wala takilni ilaa nafsi tarfata 'ayn. English Translation: O Ever Living One! O Self-Sustaining One! By Your Mercy do I ask for your support in setting all my affairs right. Do not leave me to my soul for so much as a the blink of an eye. Arabic: يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّوْمُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيْثُ ، أَصْلِحْ لِي شَأْنِي كُلَّهُ ، وَلا تَكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ (Narrated by an-Nasai in as-Sunan al-Kubra (6/147) and in ‘Amal al-Yawm wa’l-Laylah (no. 46); by al-Hakim in al-Mustadrak (1/730); by al-Bayhaqi in al-Asma’ was-Sifaat (112), and others.) A similar version of this du‘a was narrated in the hadith of Abu Bakrah, according to which the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “[This is] the supplication of the one who is in distress.” Narrated by Ahmad (27898) and Abu Dawud (5090). It was classed as hasan by al-Albani in Sahih al-Jami‘ (3388)
