  • Would have been nice to watch an interview of the Leeds manager talking about Leeds. Not sure why you asked him so many Man City questions?

  • It’s so strange to see an American manager but we all need to make an effort and understand we are in 2022 and these things should become normal and natural

    • Not at all, it's very unusual because football is not a big sport in America but that is slowly changing. Until more Americans make it professionally then of course it will be odd. It's only the British media who seem to keep stereotyping him.

    • Argentinian, Brazilian, French, Spanish etc managers are accepted in the premier league, some foreigners have even managed the England national team! If It’s acceptable for a foreigner to manage a country, what’s the big deal for an American to manage LUFC! Who knows, he may just be the first American manager to win the Premier League.

    • @@tomw6947 Football is a big sport in America, the thing is that there are bigger sports, which is unusual in most countries. There are probably more dedicated football fans in the US than in England. (Whether or not they follow the domestic league is a different issue)

  • The unbelievable arrogance that English people still hold is astonishing. Do England people understand that the population of the USA is more than 6x’s larger than that of England? There are literally over 11 million youth soccer participants in the USA compared to only like 2.4 million in England. I get it, England used to be a world football power, your country hasn’t won sh!t on the international level since like airplanes were invented. Your domestic league is the deepest, but prolly doesn’t have the best teams considering the Champions league results over the past decade. But, your league is the deepest and most competitive in t(e world. If an Englishman was the coach of American football team, or a baseball, or a basketball team, no one in America would care at all, for sure no one would be saying how weird it must be two be him. He’s not freaking playing, he’s a coaching. Does anyone actually believe that Europe has some monopoly on tactical football awareness. This whole conversation is absurd. Yea, there are more soccer fans in America, than there are football (soccer) fans in England because 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 has the population of like California, Oregon and Washington state combined, 3 of the 50 states in America. The USA is a big freaking place with people who have lots of interests. Just because everyone doesn’t love something doesn’t mean there aren’t a hell of a lot more people that love it here than do in a tiny place like England. I’m not trying to be an a$$hole, it’s just the truth. My family is from Greece, I grew up playing soccer, basketball, and baseball. I have always watched the EPL, I prolly have only watched 4 MLS games my entire life. I enjoy watching the best in the world at something, and the MLS surely isn’t the best league. I love watching the EPL, the physicality, pace, and toughness on the pitch of the players is very emblematic of the way Americans live their lives. The snobbery that the English think that they do it better is just so off putting. None of the good teams in the EPL are even freaking owned by the English anymore, nor are the best players on the best teams English anymore. With that being said, it’s not that the EPL isn’t something England shouldn’t be proud of, it is there’s and it is the best. However, it is comprised of people from all over the world.
