i just want to make a dua for all of us, i really pray for every single muslim non-muslim to be able to really connect with Allah (SWT) and the Quran, i really really pray for that to happen, and for our hearts to feel deeply engaged with the word of Allah, because let me tell you something that im currently going through, sadly i don't have the connection with Allah that i once had, and it's the most depressing thing ever, i wouldn't wish it for my worst enemy, i only pray that none of you EVER go through that and that you get closer and closer to Allah every single day. may Allah guide us to the right path, Ameen.
I’m currently feeling the same. Start listening to the Quran regularly. I think I lost my connection because I stopped doing that. Do it and you will see a change insha’Allah. Try listening for as much of the day as you can and even play it while sleeping(the healing effect works even during sleep). It will reconnect you to Allah insha’Allah. Check out OHA recitations.
Also if you have any sins that you know you are committing, especially new sins around the time you started to feel a disconnect, then stop those and make lots of istighfar.
salam alaykoum ameen and for you the same. i have been going trough the same thing and me it is about influence. i got evil i didn't even realize it; im shocked of myself sometimes and i ask 'since when i started doing this? when did i start talking like this;' then i see that i got this from familymembers because i can't break family ties. and from people outside and in videos im watching . i also struggle with depression so i don't feel pleasure in the acts i do everything is heavy. im being influenced silently if you understand, my own body is working against me and i lost my beautiful character. i feel like im doomed to become bad again. while i don't want too. the more i fight the tired (depression) i get and i get more evil. but if i stand still i get worse too because of influence. i feel trapped. wish you all so much luck. take care. salam alaykoum.

Depression is from shaytan. Hopelessness is equal to kufr. Believe in Allah. Believe he is with you listening to u. And recite qul frequently to keep away negative thoughts "waswasey"
I swear I’m over here using words and never noticed what they meant. I’m arab and in my head al qiyama is judgement day, i didn’t look at the fact that it literally says standing, or that falah has to do with farmers even tho my grandfather was one and we use the exact same word for it. 19:02 Wallahi visited Jumuah Khutba first Friday of Ramadan and I was in tears and so was the person next to me. And it felt too powerful and the next one there were so many people they had to sit outside and it felt like Eid literally Eid.

Thank you for this amazing series which I have binge watched over the last few days. I had no relationship whatsoever with this surah(can count the number of times I’ve read it in my life) and was kind of disappointed when I saw that the Ramadan series was a Surah that I don’t connect with, but it was great, amazing insights and much needed reminders. I love all your lectures and khutbahs where you point out how we’re making the same mistakes as the Israelites and where you remind us that Allah is talking about us/to us and not them.

Happening in Malaysia. A gov body in charge of Islamic affairs decide what to say during Friday sermon. And it's devolved into advertising for relevant government bodies or government celebrations. If there is an Islamic topic, they just stay on the surface without diving deep and explaining to the people what Allah is saying.

DAJJAL AGE & HIS ONE EYE INTERPRETATION|Revelation came down from the Allah, Most High, in which He denounced Jews and Christians of precisely such a sin: “They took their Priests and Rabbis as Lord-Gods beside Allah; and (they did this in respect of) the Messiah, the son of Mary (as well). But they were not ordered other than to worship and serve one God. Glory is to Him. He is far and above the Shirk, which they commit.” (Qur’an, al-Taubah, 9:31). When this verse of the Qur’an was revealed, a man came to the Prophet (sallalahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) and protested that the Jews and Christians did not worship their priests and rabbis. How then, he asked, could the Allah, Most High, accuse them of such? The Prophet (sallalahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) responded by asking rhetorically: Did they not make Halal that which Allah had made Haram? That, he declared, was Shirk. Then he asked: Did the people (i.e., Jews and Christians) not follow them in it? That, he declared, was their Shirk (Blasphemy). Among the Haram (prohibited) things which were declared to be Halal (permissible) were gambling and lottery, the consumption of alcohol and the consumption of Riba (interest on loans). In some cases, the Torah itself was rewritten in order to make them Halal. It is clear from the above that modern European civilization is the civilization of Gog and Magog, who are Khazarian Romans Freemasons Ashkenazi Jews and Christians cemented by Zionism And so, the World Order that now controls the world in its iron grip and which is waging war on Islam is the World Order of Gog and Magog. It is Gog and Magog that explain the indestructible power of the ruthlessly oppressive, corrupt, decadent and essentially godless rulers of the modern world. Gog and Magog also explain the strange phenomenon of globalization in the modern world. Godlessness of modern European civilization was plainly apparent in its choice of ‘materialism’ to replace religion’s spiritual interpretation of reality. What this meant was that Europe no longer recognized the existence of any reality beyond material reality. The resort to materialism was itself the logical culmination of the adoption of a new ‘one eyed’ epistemology (Dajjal sees with one eye) that adamantly insisted that knowledge was derived from only one source, i.e., external observation and experimentation. The other ‘eye’, i.e., internal intuitive spiritual insight that comes from the heart, was rejected as a means through which knowledge could be acquired. DAJJAL sees with one eye interpretation that he has only external knowledge, and he is blind in his right eye interpretation . He doesn't have spiritual insight knowledge, which leads to spiritual blindness. Spiritual blindness happens from disbelief, wickedness, and oppression.
