Netflix has been killing it lately. I'm impressed
honestly, especially with the release of spotlight
They are on a roll this summer
YEP....this is an outstanding DOCUMENTARY SERIES.......all 6 episodes are great
Damn 4 seasons later
this didnt age well
Im from Germany and i dont know one thing about football, but god damn this documentary looks awesome!
I worked on this. Sweated in the heat of Mississippi for 3 months and some! Learned allot about the culture of football in the south and witnessed the pain and grit it took these boys to put it on line just to get noticed by a bigger school. For some it was all they had. For others it was a second chance. This is the first footage I have seen since we wrapped. Hope you enjoy.
looks great so far
You did a mighty fine job working on this
+A1 I haven't seen the edit version so i hope folks will dig it. It was filmed last year from Sept-Dec with pick ups in Jan.
+Aaron Dude nice!
does what you learned about football culture in general cover the culture of campus rape associated with football culture? i know that alot of these young men are great individuals and only a select few commit horrible crimes against women giving the majority of respectful young football players a bad image. what im getting at is why football culture being a fundamental part of campus rape isnt reported on as much as an actual rape case considering both are the same exact crime regardless of who commits it... just food for thought..
"we graduate everyone who's supposed to graduate" lol
lol
well it makes sense. there are schools and colleges that graduate students just because they have talent. a coach might convince the teacher to let him pass. ive seen it before.
+Bryan P true
They probably graduated with a 1.0
+Bryan P my professors have admitted to doing that because the athletic director twists their arm and I'm at a D1 program.
This show ended up being my favorite show even to this day miss the season 1 feeling
fr fr
Thinking if i must watch it or not, after watching QB1, came to read the comments hehe
I love netflix originals
me too
Netflix is you are listening, as a fan of football. This series was everything. The last season blew but the first 2. Absolutely amazing. Please do another 1
Glad to see you all enjoyed the show. As a former receiver at East Miss, living in Scooba and playin' ball there comes with a lot of expectations. The rich tradition and history speaks for itself. If you enjoy the show, take time to pull up an article that was published in Sports Illustrated. At the time it was released, it was the longest article ever written in Sports Illustrated. It was about our former coach at East Miss and the article is entitled "Bull Sullivan, The Toughest Coach There Ever Was." You'll understand why East Mississippi is such a special place.
Looks awesome, but at the end of the day if you slap Netflix original on something then I'll probably watch it.
pretty much
dude same
Espicially if that if it looks inspirational
Best comment
agree
I'm just finishing up season 1 and about to start season 2. The one thing that I take from watching this is that it's one thing 4 people to care about you but you must be able to care about yourself. My father used to always say that no one can take care of you better than you. I hope that the guys on this documentary and all after understand that people care about them more than they realize. But it is essential for your own life that you love yourself enough to try hard do right and succeed.
just finished watching it. TOTALLY RECOMMEND IT. Very great, intense, awesome overall. great job Netflix.
YESSSSSS!!!!! there needs to be more football movies or shows on Netflix.
Not a football fan, but I am definitely going to watch this
Such a dope series. Half way through the second season. Really recommend it!!
Greatest football documentary ever. Ive watched every episode.
I watched all six episodes.. Well put together, it's fucked up how they took it from them like that.
i enjoyed the show. i really did not like the head coach.
+Ali Abdul-Aziz he was hard on them, he let it be known that no one player is bigger than the team. My high school basketball coach was the same, he didn't care if you was the next LeBron James, his way or you can transfer. His way of coaching is proven. My bad for rambling, but what don't you like about him?
I hear you, but he did get suspend for two games. I, like you had some coaches like that as well, but that was in the early 90s. I have never seen that before. I have never seen a coach get into a fist fight with a ref. I also found it problematic that he was doubting, in a mocking tone, whether Ollie had a concussion or not. I haven't coached for about ten years or so, and when I was coaching, you did not take the kids word for how they felt, you screened them immediately and you had them sit out. It turned out that the Ollie did have a concussion. The other coaches seemed to be a stern and demanding without being complete assholes. Remember when the defensive coordinator called out the coach for the way he reacted after the big brawl?
+Ali Abdul-Aziz oh yeah, i definitely agree with you with everything you stated. & He totally provoked and started that with the ref.
i Think the saddest part is that John Wyatt didnt keep on playing football..
Dang it, from the title I thought this was going to be a new Wii U game.
Ow that hurt
I thought it meant a high school football team
Bruh
Still the best show on Netflix
"We graduate everybody" - yeah I would love to see those college algebra scores
Watched the first season in a day. Outstanding series.
Fave Netflix show...hope they keep following each season
I'm definitely checking this out. I'm a huge fan of sports and sports shows like this. When I mean sports shows I'm talking about Hard Knocks, and others that give your the behind the scenes look at things other than gameday. It seems like there is always shows about football though and there is nothing wrong with that, but I want to see a show like this with other professional leagues like the NBA or MLB.
I'm with you on that bud, I miss blue mountain state. Definitely going to give this a try.
This was fucking amazing. Props to the producers, the filming, directing, content and ofcourse the individuals we got to see and know through this documentrary were all amazing.
Really enjoyed this programme. Just read it's been given a second season too!
Well done documentary! Congrats!
this series is incredibly well done, it is a must watch!!!!!
i saw this documentary this last week and this one, and im in love with it, it is just fantastic and really good.
Looks awesome, looking forward to it!
Fantastic documentary. Even if you don't like american football you will like this. The depth it covers is unreal. Way to go, Netflix!
Just got done watching Last Chance U. Does a damn good job at captivating you and just a damn good series in general. Highly recommend it
oh come on Netflix your taking my summer from me 😂
Soy de Argentina y no entiendo de fútbol americano pero esta serie-documental es muy buena. Es una especie de Atlas la otra pasión. . .
Definitely setting my calendar for this
Gardener Minshew at 0:49 lmao
Dylan Wormuth that’s him? He was mentioned on episode 5 , he was the qb for northwest Mississippi . I was like wtf he’s a beast in the nfl now
Please bring back another season!
Netflix is so damn good at making programs now.
Parabéns Netflix por mais essa produção ANIMAL!
Netflix dipping in the sports docu criteria. I love it
I was at the Co-Lin game that the highlight of number 11 getting jumped over! It was a crazy game that night!
Amazing show. I’m from Finland didn’t know much of American football but maybe should look it more. At least looks very interesting.

We Need Season 2!!!
I'm very proud to be in a state that has its own Netflix series
That's gonna be dope!!!
Stylist looks so good, hope it is released worldwide
I think I'll just stick to reruns of Friday night lights...
Same already on my 5th rerun (i need a life)
You could watch Friday night lights over again? I loved it, but I don't think I could watch a show I finished twice, or anything twice for that matter.
+Mad Brah? Watch The Wire. I've seen that show 14 times all the way through and it's better every time.
+Mad Brah? clear eyes full heart can't lose
this is a must watch I gave it a try and it amped me up for Friday nights its a dope documentary
Coming out on my birthday.. Football all day
My school's football team hasnt been to theplayoffs in a while but with this years new Varsity we hope to make a redemption, and im kinda inspired to make a amature documentaey on it, and yes so far wirh the planning and record it is super hard
This is going to be so good.
Best show ive EVER WATCHED ON GOD
I go to east Mississippi Community college's lineman camp for three years now
is there gonna be a season 2
its on East Mississippi? I live 20 minutes away from there
Hard knocks for college basically
not really, this is nothing like a legit college football team like ohio state or florida state, etc....i still give them much respect because I myself played college football but it would've been better had they done this kinda like the showtime series with Notre Dame this past season
That's a very simplified way of looking at it, but in a nutshell yeah
Community college*
Oregon should of played Nama that year
+Claret Mug fuckn Stanford
Can some one please help me with the music of the trailer..? It's amazing!! Where can I find it?
hey Netflix when will u have the flash season two???
Someone know how i can find the playlist ? Just watch the entire season and i need the entire playlist. :/
its been a while whens the next season?
Amazon just released a documentary series about Football as well. They're featuring the Cardinals though
We needz mo' o dem programz an sheeeit.
Junior College football in the sipp is off the charts.. Back then when I played Hinds Jr. College was the elite program! We could've beat some D1 schools. I promise you!
Mills Cooper The big 3 are Mississippi, Texas, and Kansas. Arizona on the rise as well as Cali, and then there's still some good teams in other states but the most established juco football is in the big 3.
I've just finished this and it was probably one of the best Netflix shows I've ever watched. Did anyone catch the Lion Man ? lmfao
Is there a similair documentary based around Basketball? Aside from the well known stuff like Hoop Dreams
East Mississippi community college is one of the best juco football teams in the nation they have a number of d1 players and nfl players
So this is where Alabama gets all of their players
and Florida st.
Ol' Miss, Memphis, Oregon, Oklahoma, LSU, Mississippi State, Syracuse, North Carolina, South Carolina and so on.....
+Edgar Doumerc so most of the SEC? Basically
And Auburn
Miami Hurricanes.
haha #5 (the guy on the thumbnail) was our Quarterback at South Plantation High School
is there going to be a VOSTFR version ?
Who’s here after watching the BASKETBALL ONE?
Jf3 in it he's auburn qb that's why I'm going to watch it
#FastestQBintheNation!!!
+Rick Hype FSU says you're welcome
Well I don't think Auburn is thanking us seeing as how we probably wouldn't have won the national championship without JF3 running a spot on Nick Marshall offense with the scout team.
Wow wished they had done a documentary when I played there...
I'm a big football fan Looks very cool I'll be watching!
Reminds me of the vice news documentary series last chance highschool.
Yea it was a very cool environment when i went to visit the coach and watch practice. They actually try to make practice somewhat fun instead of just pure hell
Definitely worth a watch
proberly watch it
College of the Desert 07-08 JUCO Studs. Miss those days. Starving, no money, but in the end it all paid off! Juco turns you into a man real quick!!!!
Is there a season 2
Anyone knows what's the name of the song at the begining?
What's the name of the song that plays at 1:22 ?
Does anyone know the song @ 1:22 Thanks..
What song plays in the background?
My Own Lane Freedom
Does anyone know that chant they did when ollie went blood on the grass make it go kill kill
What's the song called at the end ?
Sucks they didn't go to the national championship. I live in Garden City, KS where they won the championship. It would've been cool if GCCC and EMCC played against each other.
I thought the dude at 1:19 was Kam Chancellor for a second! lol
This will be an interesting show to watch. I am a high school football coach in MS. I know some of the coaches on the EMCC staff. I also had an offer to join the EMCC staff at one time. I'm curious to see what all this series will show. I'm sure a lot of it will be truthful and some will be exaggerated.
I hope you take over for the head coach. He really looked bad
He was definitely hot headed but you can't deny he got the team together when he needed. Not too mention you can't seriously think you can judge his actual football mentoring skills just by what the documentary showed. He did win 3 national championships prior to this....
Jordan Golde my argument is that we need to take the analysis further than wins/losses because there is truly so much more to it than that, especially when more modern approaches don't incorporate such old school yell/cuss/threaten them to win. However, you are correct, that you cannot assess the totality of his coaching to what was depicted in the film, but the film does expose quite a big slice of who he was. My high school football team was a pretty strong program, we policed ourselves with tough competition. 95% of the coaches were lifters; they built up a sense of pride in you that made you want to compete more. There was one coach, the defensive end/outside linebacker coach that was a complete asshole. I was so glad to see him go. His guys did not perform any better because of his yelling and cussing. I often reflect on the fact that he was the biggest asshole/bully, but he was also a special education teacher. I hope he did not treat the special ed students like that...? All in all, I absolutely loved the show. Thank you for the opportunity to have a conversation about it.
how do I get into this?
Great show
I’m here cause my football coach recommended this to us
Could you imagine playing football in the heat of south MS? If you can't you haven't been there.
LOL Ms. Cooper....that troll
I don't watch football. But this an awesome series. 5 stars netflix!!
bro the white teacher bro she had a good vibe which i had a white teacher like that she loved and cared about them bro💯💜
The fact that I'm in the band at Emcc
what was the song in this trailer
Anyone know if theres gonna be a season 2?

+Jordan Golde YUSSSS
