i watched it in slow mo and noticed a sniper bullet had made its way to that guys head already and looked like another sniper was next to him prone firing his gun.

He was aiming alot lower then what you would of had to with the rifle on the beta. Must have way less bullet drop or higher bullet velocity.

Glad someone's on the same page with a great idea for a class system. If only DICE developers looked at this list. What's weird is they technically had this lineup way back in 2005 with "Battlefield 2: Modern Combat"

So essentially Battlefield 2. I really liked that game. 2142 simplified this and it carried into the next several BF games and it works well. 2142 had lotsa cool gadgets and things but always had a base class that could only use specific ones. They coulda just done that and i think it would be way better. I havent played this yet but having to choose between different characters instead of customizable classes just doesnt sound right

Honestly the specialists will make things interesting and keep em interesting. If you don't want specialists then play bf3/bf4 or BF Portal. There are quite a lot of us looking forward to experiencing battlefield in a new, refreshing way

Portal will satisfy the veterans while the modes with specialists will peak the interest of outsiders. A well thought out plan on their part

Sometimes we have to learn to walk away from things we love. The battlefield franchise is one of those things for me. Lost its luster and I'm okay with walking away from it

@@mr7911 It ruins the immersion of what battlefield is. The thing that people used to like about battlefield is that you can be a standard soldier. So adding in specialists ruins the immersion for a good bit of the community. I personally don’t like specialists and would prefer them to only be in hazard zone (which I could see specialists being in). I’ve been playing since BF2 (2005) so I’m always used to just regular old grunts. But I guess we shall see what steam says at launch.

I can’t wait to set up a portal server with 1 of each specialist allowed in the server at at time and everyone else playing as bf3 or bad company 2 soldiers or maybe even bf2042 soldiers if they get added to portal

Actually, the more they add specialist, the better it is…the specialist themselves become more unique. Well, that is, if they have original ideas for each and every specialist. It still won’t be better than the normal soldier style but at least, it’d be something.

Mabe its funny maybe its not we will se at the Start of the game. Specialists are an unique decision to bring in to the game. Mybe the will bring in an normal soldier like recruit in R6.

tbf, one of the main issues with current specialists (in the beta, atleast) was the lack of variety. people felt like they were playing a hero shooter like overwatch or even siege, and not BF, because everyone was just running around as the same 4 people. with more variety, it'll fix a lot of issues people have currently with specialists. I just hope they balance it properly and give us enough free cosmetic options to make them look like regular soldiers.

In previous games when I picked medic I could use only some of the gadgets, and weapons. It was locked for a class. If I wanted ammo I went to my friends who played support and he went to me for medkit. But here he can play support role with medkit and sniper rifle in his hands. The whole role system loses the point when everyone can pick everything. In this bf role '' medic'' written in bio of specialist is only as info, same as info of his country origin.

Oops, i can't, gotta stay with the - surprise - lackluster PDWs and SMGs medics have had ever since Battlefield 4. I want to mess around with carbines, gotta play engineer - and have to deal with the fact that the survivability of teammate tanks is solely on my head. If specialists are so hated and should be removed, why did the poll they make about them have an overwhelming amount of votes in *favor* of specialists? Both specialist reveal videos (this one and the old one) have a larger amount of likes to dislikes. Just go play Battlefield Portal or go play Battlefield 4 again since y'all just want the same copy pasted game with no new mechanics whatsoever

Atleast we are able to disable them in portal. Hopefully everyone is just gonna play portal with real classes.

@@Guggan90 that's my hope as well, after this trailer I hate the specialists. Used to be 50/50 on them. Not anymore. Wall hacks, grenades that lock on to air targets etc etc. This is just dumb. Portal mode is the savior but watch when most people play that mode, EA will find a way to monetize it somehow either by locking content behind paywalls, portal BP that has weapons, vics, or gadgets in the paid tiers. Was excited for this game, now I'm just worried about it.

Except Apex legends characters' abilities are pretty balanced. There is a "wallhack", but it does a huge expanding circle that reveals you and the ennemies stay visible for like 1 second. I don't mind the idea, it's just completely broken here.

Should be like an instant scan. You only get a short glimpse of where people are at and only the direction your looking at for a short distance. Still op but not as much as people being marked for a period of time. It’s actually spotting people that shoot you that annoys me the most. Spatial awareness and sound should be enough. Cheaters were annoying enough in previous bf games, but now they have an actual wall hack character…smh

Or she can just scan ppl nearby in a small timespan like 2-3 seconds and a way longer cooldown would be enough to balance

these are all quite reasonable though. I can see a few problems with the threat scanner but other than that these are just a cool extension of the gadgets we're used too.
