Tory Party Chairman admits local election results do not look good for the Conservatives | LBC
The Conservative party are facing troubling results from the local elections, after Labour won a by-election in Blackpool and gained the 'home of the British Army' while Reform saw a surge in votes across the UK.
Labour swept to victory in the Blackpool South by-election, securing a majority of 7,607.
It was the third biggest swing from the Conservatives to Labour at a by-election since the Second World War.
The party also took Rushmoor - known as "the home of the British Army" - despite it being run by the Tories for the past 24 years.

Crossing the Channel is reckless, and desperate, not illegal. Setting foot on UK shores without the correct papers or without claiming asylum is illegal. There is no obligation for asylum seekers to remain in the first safe counry. The French have offered to set up an asylum claim processing office on their national territory, Sunak and Co declined. Why would Ireland take pur asylum seekers unless it was profitable for them? If its profitable for them, that would mean it would be less costly to us if we just kept them here. Why lose money to get rid of people!? It makes us weaker.
