Look, I love Rainbow Six Siege, and the new Operation Dread Factor has had many fun additions like Fenrir and the Grim Buff... but that isn't an excuse to not do ANYTHING Ubisoft, this midseason patch for Rainbow 6 Siege is honestly a huge joke as it doesn't really have any substance to it, and doesn't address the few but NEEDED changes the game needs.

for thorn: remove the one hit kill, shorten the time that the bloom goes off, and make it so that the op that is hit has the same effect as with the upcoming frost "nerf". the op that got hit by it can limp around, but he can also stop and just like with lesion, he can pull out the razors. imo it keeps the gadget deadly and it can still be used as area denial

I don't understand the Nokk change. If defenders want to hear Nokk coming there are things they can do. Play frost, castle, or aruni, or use barb wire, Nokk has to make noise to bypass these gadgets. Lesion Gu mines work too. Or simply barricade doors.
Kapkan too, Nokk on their own doesn't really have a silent way of dealing with those mines.
But with attacker repick you would have to play one of these ops every single round by your logic. Also wooden barricades suck because they limit your access into your own site. By your logic you could just say: oh solis isnt OP stop complaining just play IQ EVERY SINGLE ROUND, such fun

it's funny how Solis is considered so strong at the high levels but is very rarely seen and utilized at the lower levels, except for dealing with Jackal.

I really want him to keep the 1,5 He's a really fun anchor with it because you cannot ying/flash him out of a position...also he's one of the few ops that still have a deployable shield which makes him a really nice pick Also they either need to make bigger/more changes at once or realize multiple patch notes... It's always frustrating how few the changes are...

As the only Nokk enjoyer during her launch this is worst nerf they made. Even when she wasn't great you could always have fun with her sneakyness. When they buffed her and didn't give her the rework I thought she finally was in a right place and now they take the one thing I love about her. I don’t know what they were thinking, what’s the point of nokk if you can’t be stealthy as an attacker, like, her invisibly to cameras is useful but the times where she comes in as real handy is during the early game for unexpected pushes or at the endgame to come out of nowhere. My best guess as to why the mid season patch is so lacking is because they know how underwhelming Season 3 might end up. (It's just Frost Rework and Quick Match 2.0, that's all we know right now) so they don't want to make major changes now because they want to pack Season 3 with major balancing changes to make the season stand out more.
And dont forget they will get so much hate for the Frost change. Nobody asked for it and pretty much nobody likes the changes. Imagine if they spent their resources in a meaningful way, I dont know, maybe ffs already making some changes to BB for example.

@@fancho123f you have Vigil’s ability active and are moving through a Lion scan, you won’t be pinged, but drones will see the distortion effect that you get while shooting/sprinting. The real nerf was making him distort while sprinting.

Bikini read the whole paragraph for Vigil, he only gets ping once but the Linger Ping effect doesnt pursue when he shoot or impact or reinforce, his gadget no longer gets deactivated, it works like Nokk, its more like a buff
Just the fact that a gadget that’s supposed to make you invisible to other gadgets can’t do so for certain specific ones is a nerf, even if they allow him to shoot now. To be honest it should always have been that way anyways

Thorn doesn't need a 1.5x scope because the gadget needs some work. Either increase the blast radius so people are more likely to get hit for at least some damage, or decrease the trigger delay so people have not as much time to react, or simply give her another razorbloom if they don't want to tinker with how the gadget performs. I do believe you misread the Vigil change though, it says activating his gadget prevents getting pinged (down?). Unless this is some eggregiously poor wording/mistranslation Vigil should still be functionally immune to the effects of Lion's and Grim's gadget as long as he uses his and the change is just some shuffling of the game's internal logic to achieve the same effect.
What if they did the same thing they did to frost where It Downs you but you can pick yourself back up or something like lesion where you can pull out the fragments
I think Vigil should be buff ERC-7 as a small mute jammer to disable some kind of electronic gadgets like claymore , air jap to become a well roamer.

As someone who actually plays thorn from time to time, I can just say, that the 1.5 is definitely not what thorn needed. Her traps are just so easily dodged unless combined with something like a melusi banshee or maybe lesion gus. I think a nice thing would be to make it instant explode, but not instant kill?

Lol, nerfed Nokk, Vigil, did nothing with Thorn and added QoL to Oryx. Great job, Ubi, add bonuses for the hard work! Nokk's ability is used only for her sound suppression, cause gadget denial is so situational, that it's almost useless.
So instead of Warden losing 1.5 to nerf him because he's just the new Oryx with fragging, or buffing Sens when he's the least picked attacker, they nerf Nokk when she's in the middle grounds and make her one of the worst attackers, and give a 1.5 to Thorn because they think that's a good idea for buffs nowadays instead of actually helping her abilities or any characters. Just hand people higher zoom sights or 1.5 and call it a day
As a Nokk main i am in now suffering from severe depression... First they took the 1.5x from my favorite defender kapkan and now they removed 1 of the 2 most important aspects of Nokk. Ubisoft that is NOT how you balance operators.. They arent even picked that much.

Ive been waiting since Sens' release for Ubi to make the POF a good gun. There is no reason for this gun to have such abysmal statistics on an operator that has such an inconsistent gadget. There are so many other issues like this (Razorbloom ineffectiveness, Warden, the power of Valkyrie and Solis, and the aforementioned POF). The devs honestly need to be FAR more aware of how their game works, the operators within it, and how their changes affect them.
I think a decent way of buffing sens would be to make his gadget either damage people, slow them down, or live ping them when they walk through it. Plus, buffing out the POF. No reason a gun should be that... Inconsistent

Vigil is actually still immune to lion and grim, the change ia that you can see him glitching on the drone if he's in the bee swarm or if he moves during a lion scan, he won't get pinged

As Nokk player I think it would be good to just replace her frag nades with EMP nades.
Right now the issue with Thorn is the delay between when an attacker walks into her gadget's radius. An attacker walks into the radius, there's like a one second delay, it triggers, then another couple seconds, and then it fires. What they need to do is just get rid of the delay before it triggers. Also get rid of Warden and Mozzie's 1.5x's while they're at it
The delay is fine, because it can get the attackers into a worse position (as they would walk further into the range often) if there was no delay her gadget would be even worse

Don't get me wrong, I think Thorn can be a useful op and the majority of people don't know how to play her in a useful way, but with how long the delay is, it makes her basically useless unless you use the gadget in very specific spots, and it necessitates combining it with barbed wire, Melusi, or Clash. Otherwise, most of the time attackers are going to safely walk past the trap before it even triggers

There are so many passive gadgets that would detect nokk even with her ability active, if say her previously suggested buff was active then yes remove the silent step because ignoring gadgets is very powerful but how she’s just vigil with a useless shotgun (trust me I’ve tried to use it)

About Thorn buff why not make the razor blum activate range shorter and keep the kill range the same so if an attacker activates it the have less time to react to it and if the escape it the are easy kill's for defenders.
They should’ve nerfed solis. With the vigil nerf, they’re just eliminating her competition. She has a gadget that lets her clear drones in prep, she can counter anyone who drones and anyone who has active abilities (lion, finka, nokk, jackal, etc), and on top of that, she has the perfect kit to back up her playstyle.
Vigil’s gadget is designed to work for cameras, Lion’s drone is a motion scanner. It doesn’t make logical sense for vigil to be immune to lion

The vigil change seems fine. If he moves in a lion scan theyll know youre playing vigil but you still dont get pinged as long as the gadget is active. Makes it the same as cav/jackal interaction.
So if you have the vigil ability active, move around when a lion scans, then the lion player will get a notification that he has spotted someone but won’t get a red ping on vigil? If that’s the change I guess it’s not so bad.
imo, thorns weapon needs to get another kind of buff. give her the old damage and remove the extended barrel. and i really love the 1.5x sight, but i never felt like i need it for thorn. now that i have it, i will miss it, when they take it away..
I can understand ingoring certain operaters as they might get addressed later down the line but the Vigil nerf was highly unnecessary imo. Especially because Solis is much stronger and can fulfill a similar role. Was expecting a buff for him if anything. Giving Thorn a 1.5 is also a bit random, Kapkan wasn't broken with it by I'd rather they address her gadget. Forcing an attacker to move from a certain position is strong but you'd still need to capitalize on that, and her gadget almost only has killing potential when combined with different utility.
