I purchased this last year when it was released. I own a couple other Varvatos fragrances and, wary of its performance, opted for the smaller bottle of this. Even though this isn’t a winter fragrance, I still wore it then and as I near the last few sprays, I’m kicking myself for not purchasing the larger bottle. Fantastic fragrance with good performance and am always complimented when I wear it, especially now in late spring. Will without a doubt purchase again. Great review, Jeremy.

Love this fragrance, my wife got this for me on our anniversary last month. My only complaint is it doesn't last long, it's not an all day fragrance but it does smell amazing!

I just got this sample in the mail. I am in absolute awe of this! It smells like an exotic CHAMPAGNE! Best summer scent I have smelled yet.
Very nice citrus blast in the opening, fueled by the usual bergamot petit grain combo. Instead of neroli, it’s lemon and orange, but the effects is still the same. Very refreshing, sour, bitter green citrus fruits. The base is soft and woody with just a little of the bright green opening hanging on. Seems like a great summer scent. Perfect for casual but it’s also refined enough for some formal wear. Projection is good during the first couple hours then it settles down on the skin. That final phase lasts up until 4 to 5 hours. To me it’s a must have just for the mesmerizing smell of it alone. But I guess to each their own when it comes down to this fragrance.
I have to say that I absolutely LOVE this JV. Compliment getter every time I have it on!
Long lasting?
I am a purist , love the original And Artisan Aqua is a refreshing scent for the summer. But the Pure version has the best of both worlds.
I love most JV fragrances. I received 2 compliments on the first day I wore JV Artisan Blu. I also own the original JV, Artisan Acqua and Dark Rebel. The only one I tried that I didn't like was Dark Rebel Rider.

This fragrance has already become my favorite. The opening is very bright, fresh, and evoking, but the most beautiful beautiful part is in its dry down, after 1 hour mark. And the bonus is in its longevity. I got solid 8 hours easily on my shirt and about 6-7 hours on my skin.
Projecting?
This smells so good. So fresh. It smells like every part of an orange tree. Including the flower blossoms. Girls seem to like it a lot but not adore it. Thank you my friend. Because I discovered it thanx to you.

Jeremy love your style especially your sense of fashion, you never see this guy walking out and about in some Ole T Shirt, shorts, gym shoes or flip flops. I'm working to get my wardrobe to your level. Like your brand of fragrances... it would be very appreciative if at times you gave the brand of your clothing you're wearing, example like in this video it appears you're wearing a black shirt, white pants & suede black shoes. Thanks to you, I'm currently wearing Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gio Profumo to work many compliments.

Authenticity. Jeremy you're the best !
beautiful, well-made, rich and high-quality ingredients, relatively cheap to buy, no coughing or synthetic notes in it and all this with a new DNA: "woody/citrusy" Sour/bitter smell that needs the heat to turn it sweeter and stronger, easily casualy to wear, but sadly not very versatile, but very unique. This is not a 10/10 masterpiece like your Savauge/Aventus/ADG/ADG Profumo, but also not your typical cheap cologne. A safe buy imo and worth having for a change of pace.

After going thru this review on 18th June , I immediately placed order thru my favorite online store. Wore it today and I'm loving it, its fresh and lasts the whole day ( office wear) . I'm glad I've purchased Artisan Pure.

I am with ya! I would be so nervous to walk up to people and get them to smell a fragrance. Jeremy is a good looking guy so obviously nobody is hesitant to be in his company and let him pitch his scent survey. I'm actually jealous these random people get to meet him, where as someone like myself would love to meet him. I have tried this one. It is very nice and although designer, it certainly breaks into niche territory. Nice review as always!

Ah la promenade des anglais. I used to live not far from Nice, near Menton. I tried this in a store in London last month, I thought it was delicious & refreshing, really something special going on there, one of those scents that you want to keep on smelling (Can't find it here in France though).

I tried this out on a paper strip and wasn't a huge fan to begin with. I sat the strip in my kitchen and forgot about it. When I returned to the kitchen it smelled amazing. I couldn't stop sniffing the strip after that! Haha. I returned and sprayed myself to see how it performed and it seems to have some great longevity on my skin. So I went back and picked up a bottle today. Thanks for bringing this fragrance to my attention.
