  • I'm a complete beginner (just got my flute 45 minutes ago) and something I had trouble with is making a sound. I struggled for quite a while until I played around with the angle.

  • I was angling the lip plate so it was at a 90/80 degree angle and I could only get tiny sounds.

  • But then I put the lip plate flush with my lips (basically kiss the lip plate and then pull it slightly back so your lips aren't touching it) and that makes it world's easier
