Imagine when this song came out in Turkiye He got so many critics after another beautiful song called Kuzu Kuzu. After all these negative comments Dudu became one of his best(if not the best) songs in all the world.

Watching this in London where I live for years , and being originally from Turkey, your reaction video made me smile :) I remember travelling between Havana and Varaiedo in Cuba in a local bus and they played Tarkan, as well as seen his CDs being sold at a local street market in Argentina.Tarkan is a true interdnational artist / a national treasure and has a very special place in the hearts of couple of generations in Turkey. And definitely brings back good memories too. Enjoy learning Turkish. I am from Antalya and Dudu is a name in the south of Türkiye. I think it is a aprobiation of Durdu, which means stopped. Until it came to us, it lossed a letter and became Dudu.

Dudu is an expired word and in deep Anatolia, there are still some ladies have this name. In Turkish, Persian and Armenian, it was/is a nice way to call a women. And "gözleri derya deniz" is a kind of weird expression. Deniz means "sea" in Turkish and derya is sea too in Persian. So it means something like "her eyes are like sea sea!". This thing is called "redepulication?" or "ikileme" in Turkish that we repeat the same word twice or replicate it with Arabic/Persian version. I think it also exists in Arabic language. And as example for half Turkish half Arabic version: "ses seda". (voice-voice). Example: Ses seda yok! (There is no any voice).

Dudu is an obsıkete Turkish word for parrot. Sometimes used pejoratively for talkative women. Dudu dudu dilleri literally means his/her words are (like / of ) a parrot. It actullay means he/she repeats the same things frequently. Lıkır lıkır içmeli means one should guggle them. That means (although his or her words are repetitive, they are so sweet that) someone can drink them, and that means the lips producing these words should be kissed.
