This is brilliant !
Genuine thinking outside the box! Fabulous location, too.
Great project. Any plans to stack three or or more high? I guess you'd need a larger base to compensate. What about doing custom versions with square, penta, or even hexa shape allowing for larger internal area - even covered atrium? So many possibilities here. I hope you create some alternative designs to share and attract interest and investment to scale up this project - go global! ;-) Personally, I'm interested in floating cities and seasteading. Thank you for your efforts.
Would be fantastic for retail
Oh, this house adopted an energy-efficient heating system called "Ondol" by spreading water pipes beneath the floor, which is originated from Korea. Actually, Ondol had been used by Koreans for several thousand years up to date but still, only Koreans use this excellent heating system in building houses. Then, do residents have to pay the local government for the use of water space?
I love the fact that they call this affordable... You can get housing for 50% less than the price they charge for these. I don't blame them, this hasn't been a cheap project. The houses are exclusive just don't brand them as affordable. They charge 7500kr excluding utilities. You can get rooms for 5000kr i Copenhagen.
economies of scale apply + working out problems in new ideas costs a bit more than hiring people to build traditional housing. IMO, this technology could be cheaper to build over time ... plus if efficiencies are correct, then maybe some cost saving from lower heating bills.
Sure, living in 20 m2 part of shipping container -_-
Stupid idea......massive concrete structure for a few tiny apartments
