This video is about Ertugrul Ghazi's Family tree. This Family tree is about Turks ancestors of Ertugrul Ghazi on Animated Chart from "Oghoz Khan to Ertuğrul". Ertuğrul Gazi was a 13th century bey, who was the father of Osman Ghazi.
He was the son of Suleyman Shah, the leader of the Kayı tribe of the Oghuz Turks. After Suleyman Shah's death Ertugrul was chosen as the leader of the tribe who then laid foundation of the Great Ottoman Empire. All the Great Sultans of the House of Osman were sons of Ertugrul ghazi.

    • Not all people are descendants of Nuh (aws) and Turks are not descendants of rasulullah(aws). At the time of the great flood there were others living around the world. Also i don't think this family tree is accurate.

  • The Turks and Mongols are not the same race, or cousin race as portrayed in the video. But one could say they are the peoples from same language family, known as Altaic, as well as Japanese and Korean. That's to say Turks are a different race than Mongols, Japanese or Korean etc. Rather, the Turks were the only nation who dared to fight against the Mongol hordes of Ghenghiz Khan (e.g. Jalal-al-Din Kharezmshah in 1220s) and then against Hulagu Khan of the Ilkhanids (e.g. Sultan Alauddin Kaykubat of the Seljuk State of the Rum in 1230s and later on Mamluk Sultan Baybars, a Turkish general in Egypt stopped them in Ayn Jallut in 1260). According to some chronicles of the Turkish medieval history (Camiu't Tevarih, by Reshidid-din Fazlullah for example), the grand forefather of the Turks Oghuz Khan sacked the Mongols and forced them to exile to the modern day Mongolia from Turkestan as they refused accept monotheistic Gök-Tengri belief of the proto-Turks, which suggested to worship to one God, a celestial God (Gök-Sky and Tengri-God), a spiritual God, but not an icon, statue or natural things like the sun or moon. Therefore, the Turks before Islam were also monotheistic people in belief, whereas the Mongols have been worshipping nature Gods and spirits, thus they were shamanists and paganists.

    • Mongols and Turks separated ways when Oghuz Khan who is Zulkarneyn in the Quran i kerim brought the message of Allah to worship him alone and the Mongols did not accept this message, they instead chose to fight against Oghuz alongside his father, eventually they were defeated and were exiled to the north of modern day Mongolia or somewhere in that region and banned from stepping foot on Turkestan ever again. That is also when they got the name Mogol/moal. This is what I learned, Allah knows best

  • 1- Osman bin Ertuğrul bin Gündüz Alp (ie Gündüz Alp's son, Ertuğrul's son Osman) is written on the coins minted by Osman Gazi. Therefore, Ertuğrul Gazi's father is Gündüz Alp, not Süleyman Şah. 2 - Turks have nothing to do with Mongols, they have no kinship. 3- The accuracy of such genealogies is not certain. Most are wrong. Moreover, there are very few information-document-resources that have survived even about Ertuğrul Gazi. (Most of the events in the series are fiction. But the fact that the series is fiction does not change the fact that Ertuğrul Gazi is a great warrior, statesman and commander). It is almost impossible to reach other names in the genealogy and obtain an accurate document. The source is almost nonexistent. Therefore, the genealogy is unfortunately not reliable. 4 - Still, thanks for your effort and the video :)
