Don't show the final product first, it's the anticipation that makes it fun to watch. This is like knowing the ending of the movie in the first clip
I already understood it. I learn from my mistakes. Thanks for the advice Bro !
Is not a mistake...I watch this video only because at the first beginning I saw the picture “after”...so I was curious ....like me are a lot of people
I agree. I like to guess how it's going to turn out. Bloody beautiful finish on this. Great work.
Круто придал новую жизнь вещице которую уже списали!
Круто, вы даете вторую жизнь выбошеным в утиль вещам👍
Another excellent restoration, thank you.
Thanx Mark.
Incredible workmanship
Дал т1аьхье беркате йойл!
Амин, вай массер.
Like a guy with his own metal lathe, nice edit on the prep 👍🏽 👏👏
Brilliant craftsmanship! 👍🏻😊
Great job. As mentioned below, thick primer/undercoat and a rub down would have finished off the paint nicely-but wouldn't have benefited the functionality IMHO. This was a good _practical_ restoration, like most of us would do to get an old tool back in use, and the time and cash you invested were in proportion. The kit used in the restore was what many of us would also have, and that nail gun will be a credit to your workshop.
Dear friend, thank you for such a comment. I fully agree with you ..
Awesome job again....
Very cool restore. 👏👏👏
wonderful work, well done
pointing it up at the beginning was Genial! xD
Great job. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Very nicely done! Great video and skills! Keep the videos coming!!!!
Very good restoration bro 🔥🔥🔥👍👍👍👏👏👏
Great job

una meraviglia complimenti
Yea, brother. Way to go!
thnx Bro!
This must have been the (COOL) project that made you build that nifty sand blaster box.
good job thumbs up
Magnificent. The only thing I would have done differently would be to fill in the pits in the external housing, sand those down & then sprayed a coat of primer then painted it red.
Excellent work! Greetings from Southport UK.
Thank you buddy.
Wait till the end to show the final product. It ruins the surprise. Sweet resto though. Great job.
A nice addition would be a stitched leather handle cover
'Iron Man' Edition - very nice...
🇧🇷😎você é o Cara 👍👏👏👏👏
Very good
perfect
You were doing great, and then I saw this 9:16 . You used your diagonal cutters as a hammer! Oh the shame! Seriously though, this is really good work and I will be watching more. Thanks.
Hey. I certainly do not pretend that I know everything, I do as I know. I have mistakes too. Yes, sometimes I beat those that fall under the arms. Thanks for the comments. It is always interesting to read the comments of adequate people.
Goed gedaan man, Veel succes er mee !
Bedankt Man !
Just subbed to your channel I would watch this stuff all night thanks
Your welcome mate.
Wow nice
Beautiful work.
very nice...the only thing missing was filling in the pores on the body and sanding it to perfection, that would have made it a complete restoration, better than new. Cheers mate
I'm planning to make new video ; how i make Sand blaster , to have better look and it's easier to restore old tools with sand blaster :-)
First & foremost...Great job on a rebuild of an obsolete model (old school Supco?)!! I loved the head (cap) piston reconstruction on the lathe. A couple of words of advice (from one who used to repair these nail guns) 1 -- I would try to find white lithium grease for the o-ring installation (cylinder, piston, etc.). 2 -- I would not put oil on gaskets it because it can erode the gasket material & cause an air leak. 2a -- I also would not put oil all over the safety assembly in the nose, & the magazine rail as it is not necessary for the proper operation (think about a desk stapler for paper) there is not enough friction generated to justify it & the oil will just transfer to your nails in the magazine & the work surface from the safety. if you just put a few drops of oil in the air inlet, each time you use it, it will be plenty lubricated for use. Too much oil IN the gun will cause it to spray oil all over your work surface. (edit) -- & as to the rest of your restoration videos, I can offer nothing other than admiration of the quality of your work since I don't have experience with them..just used to work on pneumatic nail guns
Since you know about these things. I have 2 simple questions. 1. how did he know it was bad. 2. How did he know what dimensions it was supposed to be?
@@unkjason as to your 1st question, there are multiple things that can tell you it's a bad part: the most obvious being it's cracked or broken; there could be visible wear where the o-rings move against it (it would be a VERY old or well-used part to get to that point, but it does happen); if you have a leak out of the top of the gun (near &/or in the exhaust) that is often a part that will cause it; (at the risk of sounding like an a$$hole here) I cannot be sure how exactly he knew to rebuild & replace it since I was not there for the rebuild. for your 2nd question, if he is skilled at machining parts (he seems to be), I am sure he would have access to some calipers or other precision measuring device to get the dimensions--this actually falls WELL outside of my expertise...for me to get the parts, I would order them from the manufacturer; if a part was unavailable, I do not have the experience to be able to fabricate a replacement,...I would leave that to someone who has metal fabrication in their bag of tricks...I hope to be learn a bit about it, but at the moment, I cannot.
Bien Fait!
Merci Ronald
@1:05 Oh wow, an orange hammer. With an air hose connected! 😂 Nice restoration though!
Edgar Matzinger Now that’s funny!

I rather like videos that show the finished product first. If you aren't interested, you don't have to fiddle around going to the end to see if it's what you want to watch or not. Nice job on this by the way!
Parabéns!
Obrigado
Noce job! I subscribed!
Thank you brother. I see you also have an interesting channel. Subscribed back.
@@meanwhileinthegarage I plan to make a more serious channel about blacksmithing and the rural life here in the future, unfortunatly i am notoriously bad at documenting what i do in the workshop... But at least i got my thumb out and bought a camera last month... ha ha.
You will learn by doing, Just Do it dude !!! And then you'll se the results :-) Wish you success!
You should not display the final product first. Other than that, great restoration!
nice
¡Fantástico...! Saludos desde Honduras.🐯👍👏😉😎
Неплохо.
Were the O rings replaced or just used over again? Didn't see where they were replaced and they are one of the things that could cause the gun not to work.
Amazing! 👍👍👍
Great job ! Where are you in Belgium ?
Thnx. In Oudenaarde.
Hi thanks for your videos, I'm waiting to see others, just a curiosity, the paint you use, doesn't need a primer or you wanted to do something fast? I will share your videos and meanwhile ciao from Venezia.😉🔧🔨☮
PS: I've subscribed.😎
Thx for sharing frend. Yes, the paint, doesn't need a primer.
9:26,...9:54 Nail is different.......................
Hi ! May i talk 's ... Ok ! I see , air tool's are very long time's of ages ! ( before electric 's tool's of powers ) ... Air - tool's, are forever's! ( never ban any tool's away!!!! Because.... It are a great present from our great grand parents!!!!( great tools ! Great ideas of gifts)
Cool restauration! But why did you need to heat treat the parts on 5:20?
Thnx Alex. To protect against rust and to get black.
Another thing you dont need to buy from factory :)
Wait a minute!! Did that nail gun actually put a head on those flat trim nails while driving them in?!?!? Very nice for lots of projects. Those look like beautiful round heads on the driven nails you showed. Would not want this for detailed trim work, but cabinet building and other stuff would be so nice! Maybe I just need to read up on my trim nail guns! Haha!
I just noticed that too. And the nails are so old already. He messed up on that part of the edit. I wonder why he did that???
👍👍👍👌
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great job love looking at video's like this plz get a better mask for painting as the one your using is a dust mask not for painting apart from that keep them coming
OK. Thanx mate.

What was the initial problem ? Leaking seal only ?
Have you heard about paint stripper it makes your life a lot simple less scrubbing

nice work but it is better to use gloves at toluol 4:37
👍
6:47 what kind of oil are you using here?
You shouldn't coat your rubber gaskets with oil, it can deteriorate them quicker. Use gasket sealant.

Awesome job, man. Love the lathe work. Anyone who pulls goes to the lathe to bring a piece back is already in the top 1% for effort on their piece. A little high build primer would fill in that dimpling on the body, but that is a small suggestion. Keep going. #throwawaythethrowawayculture

Thank you friend. There are many shortcomings in there that many will not notice. The main thing that the result was good.
@@meanwhileinthegarage The results aren't good. They're awesome. Your work speaks for itself. Just a comment from one tool lover to another. Keep going. We gotta show these kids how NOT to throw away the awesome.
I hope they will understand, after watching my videos, that such things cannot be thrown away. My heart hurts when I see no careless attitude. Thank you. I appreciate your words.

Restoration of old Nail gun - Restoriation of Air Nailer ( Pneumatic Nailer)
When was this nail gun made? what year?
For the love of Mike, man, use gloves! Preferably nitrile as latex aren't very chemical resistant.
How come you put pins in the gun and yet in the wood they were rusted headed nails (which this gun can`t take) ? ? ? ? ?
Don't show the end result at the beginning please. It ruins the anticipation.
You're right. From the next video I will only show the result at the end of the video
How did the nails change from T nails to bullet head nails? i think you swapped guns! good rebuild but fake ending.
Why the spoiler at the beginning??? Don't do that!
4:53. No, you should wear latex gloves. That stuff goes straight through the skin into the bloodstream, leading to severe health problems later in life.
