The Gunnars are pretty big now, having scored deals with Activision for Diablo 4 and Ubisoft for AC Mirage.
I have two pairs. Although I'm not a gamer, I'm an I.T. admin, staring at screens all day long. I spend 60+ hours a week in brightly lit offices with flourescent/LED lighting and Gunnars are truly a godsend. I put them on as soon as I get to the office, and have another pair on my desk at home. If I had the money, I'd invest in Gunnar in a heartbeat.
I don't understand every computer and android screen has an option or filter to block out blue light. Glasses are irrelevant at that point
@@justbeingreal2299Yes but you have to turn it on/off again and again. With these glasses, you want to see something without the filter, just pull them down a little bit. It's a huge convenience.

The Nexersys has been profitable and the debt was all payen off in 2019. The company is profitable as of 2023 making 5 million per year, and has launched many different products that even appeared on Cobra Kai show.

lol the sharks reaction to the Omni, is crazy! Obviously they have never used the oculus because this device actually SAVES space, lol. I love it! I will buy one of these, the entire purpose of using the oculus (at least for our family, which love gaming) is that you get a work out with these games, you're fully immersed in the game. My problem really is that I have too much "stuff" in my house and I'm walking into furniture all of the time 🤣 I love everything about this, I am a 45 year old mom with 4 "children" (almost grown out of the house!) We all love the oculus and for us, this would be an add-on device for it, I'm looking for aftermarket add-ons that help make it easier to use. No, gamers are not lazy. Understand your market better sharks, you totally failed to understand it this time around. This company had a poor valuation, you could have made a deal but choose to think you know better in this market segment, being old and rich, out of touch of your average gamer.
Nexersys now pulls in 5 million annually with a net worth of 4.2 mil.
I think the big deal-breaker on that last one was when they tried to make it sound like it was $399 for everything. When it came out that the headset {key component} and that goofy little toy gun were each another $300+, I knew they were toast. I'll address that "gun" separately.
That 1st one was weird that the Sharks were criticizing him for "nickel and dime'ing" but they congratulate other entrepreneurs for getting the best deal they can. The guy did his best to negotiate :\

It was rather dumb of him to try and get it down. Lori has a lot to offer for his company, so the fact she even made an offer at all, let alone gave him a new one is huge and shouldn't be taken lightly.
Well this entrepreneur already diluted his ownership taking on investors. You’d think he’d be in a better position, and not in need of the added help. There was additional risk. Plus it is shark tank.
I felt bad for the first guy. He got bullied and pressured into a deal. All the sharks said he was nickel and diming. He was not! 2.5% equity of a company with a 7 million dollar revenue is not the same as 2.5% equity of a company with a 70 thousand dollar revenue. To top it all off, it was not a straight equity buy in. The $750k turned into a loan! Any equity Lori gets is just icing on the cake! He should have stood his ground. The most he should have done is $375k cash and $375k loan for 5%.
He was full of crap. His initial ask was for five percent than he tried to backtrack.
With 1.5 mil in debt. And that extra 2.5 would be what gets diluted in the next round.
It was 5% for 750k, not as a loan with interest. Two very different things.

This isn't exercise. Its immersion and gamers spend all day playing games. They would be all over this. If it worked for good games. Not just those vr on the rail shooters. That are all the same. If it worked for call of duty or apex legends. Those players would be all over this.

As not a plus size gamer… I guarantee the last product would be fricken awesome. And complaining about $900 system? That might be a little more than a console but compared to what people spend on PC that is cheap.
I agree, I was surprised that the sharks were surprised and seemed to assume $900++ spend on gaming is steep. I'm not a gamer but I definitely see people willing to spend on gaming stuff. I think that was a wasted opportunity. Also, it would be great in arcades/gaming arenas.

I actually used one of those Omni things at a go-kart place in Charlotte a few months ago. It was pretty cool, but they didn't have those slick shoes like this guy though.

I've had blue light filter on my prescription lenses for a decade now.
The omni gaming thing has a more realistic feel when gaming with it but I know something/someone will knock this off the shelves before they can make a return but it's vest for home use than commercial
The whole smashing of gamers in last one, "gamers dont want to exercise" fast forward, and sandbox VR warehouses are pretty big business.
The sharks do not understand vr or gamers at all.

@KonaWolfe To be fair Blue Light filtering tech doesn't really have sciencitific validation any more so Gunnar's main benefit isn't really "there" so their marketing is a bit sketch. Simply use proper glasses or simple reading glasses to achieve the same "effect" and do eye fatigue mitigation strategies, better long term solutions.

They look yellow because they only let yellow light pass through.

They "are" yellow because yellow light is the primary color passing through. It filters out a lot of light at the other color wavelengths. If the light of those colors does not reach your eyes, you do not see that color. I'm no scientist, and I probably garbled that, but it's basically how I understand it as a layperson.

every guy who played with windows or his monitor, knows how useless those gunar glasses are lol my monitor has a built in option where it simply disables blue leds, which is infinite more efficient than them glasses who are basicaly a yellow filter aka "night mode" on windows lmao night mode is far superior, actually, you can tune it to 65% like the glasses or whatever you want. every tablet and smartphone has a blue light filter app on its app store. dont waste your money.

Or about Robert's comment about, if people want to move around, they can just go outside, - VR got a lot of sales during COVID, because people couldn't go outside, lol.
Last one shows how out of touch theyre with gamers of today lol, fitness apps are some of the highest grossing on VR headsets. Only reasonable one is mark. He was destined to fail no matter what, the average age of sharks on shark tank are 55 lol.
