I've been told that Mojang made an offer to sp614x years ago but that he declined. Not sure if true, or if so, the details though.
To simplify it, Mojang wasn’t willing to allow optifine capes in vanilla MC. In addition to not wanting to implement the entire mod, and rather wanted to pick and choose.

I don't get why when i installed it and when i look at the Launcher it says that it Compatible or something. It could be because my Laptop is bad or something.
@@MariusBoss11458 The new launcher gives you a warning when you have a modified version installed, like Fabric or Optifine. You should be fine. If the error is different, let us know.

This is a blast off joke
To anyone using a somewhat strong laptop but still getting like 5 frames: for some reason when you run Minecraft with optifine your system will start using the integrated graphics instead of the graphics card. So you need to go to the Nvidia control panel or whatever and force the system to use the graphics card for java applications. This fixed the issue for me. Hopefully this is helpful to some people.
Posting a link for assistance. You have to locate javaw and the java runtime (that might only be if it's post 1.17) and tell those to use the gpu You can easily find information by searching "how to run minecraft on gpu"

The BSL shader allows you to set world curvature to negative values. This makes terrain bend upwards, and my god it looks stunning

What does Motion blur and Dept of field do?
@@edoardove.1316 Motion Blur blurs motion, it's in the name, really. If you're running, stuff at the side of the screen, which you're moving past, will be blurred. If you spin, everything will be blurred. It's kind of realistic, but it sort of assumes where you are looking, in real life you might be able to see something better if you focus on it. Depth of Field blurs stuff that is far away. Which, if anyone think is realistic, I'm sorry to tell them, but a life of staring at a phone screen destroyed your vision. You need glasses. Even TV and PCs can do that, I need glasses too, but phones are the worst, they are too small, you have to have them very close to your eyes.
@@rodsk8dude731 depth of field blurs everything outside of the distance of the block that your crosshair is pointed at. if you look far away, blocks closer to you will blur. blocks in the distance only become blurry when you're looking at something closer to you. hold something close to your face in real life, look at it, then look at the wall, then look back. as one becomes blurry, the other becomes clear, both ways. that's depth of field, and that's what the shaders do.
@@crab6203 Yeah, that. But it still assumes it knows where you're looking at though. If I'm currently staring at a corner wall trying to see where that enderman is, I'm FOCUSING my vision far, but the crosshair would be on a close block.

@@screamingblackhole He (AHS) probably should have pointed it out that he was referring to the edges. I feel like as soon as people discover about how render scale, resolution and anti-aliasing/supersampling work; they just start to accidentally assume everyone must know this already. ALSO: Higher render scale/downscaling and Super Sampling all look better than blown up images suggest, it's hard to do it justice because the effect is subtle in still images, but very noticable when moving/turning/looking

@@exggz1846 you need this weird file app on Xbox and need to load up a website (I forgot the name of it but I’m sure you can look it up), and then you can download shaders, but you have to use the file app (which is a 24h free trial unless if you want to pay 8 bucks), and put the shaders into a file. I think the youtuber with the name of “JustHK” made a video on it, and the process does work since I did it a while ago

Suggestion: How to turn Minecraft into a lovecraftian game.
3:58 i love this combo! i always liked the style of bare bones
Previously i had been using the anti aliasing setting under "Quality" in the video settings. It made the edges less pixelated and a lot more smooth however they heavily impacted my performance. After i watched this video and found out i can just increase render resolution and anti aliasing under the shaders menu after selecting (internal) shaders, my fps is now sky high, like im hitting 400 fps with a render distance of 24 chuncks, whereas prevoisly i would only hit like 100-200 with a renderm distance of 16, and the image still looks super sharp. 6:27 it's the debugging option for developer, it isn't intended to play with, and it's called z-buffer in most renderers, it shows the distance between a point the pixel represents and a camera using grayscale.

Thanks for showcasing Bare Bones! Regarding the sky being broken when combining it with shaders, OptiFine breaks custom skies with shaders, so turning off the custom sky in OptiFine settings will fix it

This guy reeeally knows his 3d graphics terminology. I'm proud! Also: talking about the "depth buffer" effect (black ground and white air), this effect is actually a common rendering mechanic for a lot of different things; the closer a pixel is to the camera the more black it is, while the farther the more white. Hope to taught something new!

Actually, lowspecgamer proved that using a resource pack would lower your performance even more, as it uses system resources to load the game AND the textures itself.
i would suggest badlion or lunar client, they have something called fullbright which makes everything brigth whenever u want and u can obviously turn it off, but it increases performance by just a tad if ur struggling, (as well as ur ping)

I always use sildurs volumetric lighting, it’s my favorite shader and every single time I’ve ever tried switching I’ve always come back to it. Even if some shaders can be good looking, they should come that way out of the box like sildurs.

For people who don't know, a depth buffer (also called a z buffer) is the system most non-raytracing renderers use so they know what to render in front of other objects. Without this the renderer would not know (for example) if it should display the wall or the blocks behind the wall.

i personally use a whole mess of resource packs with the Builder's QOL shaders shader thing. i do not have a great computer, and i run an average of 30 fps, which is good enough for me, especially the fact it looks great.
