GL and the corps consist of aliens, space, and rings that make objects. Its a confirmed CGI fest whether the movie is great or shit. Theres nothing wrong with CGI if the movie is good.

Why isn't there a Lantern Corp of two of the most well known and diametrically opposed emotions: Happiness, and Sadness? Like... It's always been a question I've had. They tap into the emotional spectrum, and have hope and compassion? Not joy and despair?

I think the fixation or fascination with St . Walker and "The Blues" is fans' concept or perspective that, those who have to show there strength all the time aren't really that powerful. Those who don't are the truly thorough because they exude some much power they don't have to use it. Most of what you see; isn't really what you see and typically has some sort of subconscious meaning. Especially in books, movies, and comics. That's why I read them along with story archs
Saint Walker is a nice religious man. In comics when SW showed up comics were SO dark and gritty that having a real good character who was nice and not a maroon it was a nice change of pace. He's also religious and some people feel like religion get a bad rep all over the place so seeing a religious character that's not bad and a great person and tough AF is another nice change of pace. That's my take on why Saint Walker so popular anyways.

A lot of love for the Blue lanterns come from The Green Lantern animated series, the blues/saint walker have a nice arc even for such a short series.
One cool thing about the lantern corps is that ROYGBIV, green is in the center. The closer to the center, the more control you have. The Red lanterns and the Star Sapphires are closer to being forces of nature, since they are the furthest from "will", or in other words, self-control and agency. That's why the green lantern ring doesn't change your personality, while all of the others do to varying extents.

The reason why we love saint walker is that when you put a whole bunch of green and blue lanterns near each other they will supercharge each other and that power is stronger than any red lantern

The Indigo Tribe have always been my favourite of the lanterns, taking the worst villains and giving them the opportunity to do good.
The Green Lantern animated series had a story arch with Saint Walker and the Blue Lanterns, so people got a little exposure. In the series he was able to evade a Red Lantern without even using a ring, then defeated a Red Lantern Fleet by using the energy of Mogo and amplifying it with Blue Light, while super charging Kilowat's ring... I can see why people love the dude from that. But comics-wise, I don't understand either.
This is one of those story arcs i regret missing out on, the whole lead up to Blackest Night sounds so amazing. Hopefully one day ill buy up the trades and enjoy the whole saga.

derek96720 That doesn't mean its sorrow...if there would be a lantern corp for sadness it would have to be something dark with loss of hope,but in that case there wouldnt be a latnern corp for sorrow because they would have no will or motivation to keep the corp running.
ULTRAMAN That's the thing though. Technically, sorrow could just be personified as an emotional state that lacks Hope, rather than being an actual emotion.
And black is the color of death, instead of sociopathy (lack of feelings or empathy). C'mon DC

I wished you added summaries of other red lantern character chapters, considering the mention of the red lantern in this 22 minute video could have been cut down to 5 minutes if you were to only explain red lantern origins. Great video still, but in short: Red Lantern Orogin: Atrocitus got beat up by Sinestro when he was still a green lantern. Atrocitus' home got wrecked by manhunters. Atrocitus became the first red lantern and wants to beat up Sinestro. ...Maybe less than 5 minutes.
