OVER 200mph in My Ferrari SF90! Autobahn Drive to Denmark | WHERE'S SHMEE Part 23
My Ferrari SF90 Stradale is unleashed on the Autobahn! With a 500 mile (750km) journey ahead of us, that means a lot of time on the de-restricted German motorways and plenty of opportunity for the SF90 to breeze over 200mph!
After an amazing stop in the Eifel Mountains and laps at the Nurburgring with all 3 of the Shmeemobiles; Brad and Tony shared their journey to @TheShmuseum with the Huracan STO and now it's our turn to continue with both of the Ferraris to Denmark. Naturally there will be a visit and update ahead on the Road to Zenvo TSR-S, plus plenty more in the area to visit.
However, the SF90 is a terrifyingly fast car; boasting 1,000hp from the hybrid powertrain including a 4.0l TT V8 and 3 electric motors. Not only does it have the power, but it's exceptionally easy to use and get it moving fast as discovered during this long journey on the open sections of the Autobahn.
Fast forward hours of roadworks and traffic, eventually the roads open up and give it an opportunity to stretch up to 206mph (331km/h), approaching the claimed top speed of 211mph (340km/h), but the reality is that it can clearly go beyond that.

Watch out for the new Danish rules regarding high speeding in Denmark. They will confiscate your car if you are driving more than 124 mph/ 200 kmh on the motorway in Denmark.

That's completely insane. For comparison I once got caught doing 130 MPH on a highway in America in the middle of the night and talked my way down to a warning. One of the very few perks of living in the US 😂

I lived for most of my 13 years in Germany in the Eifel mountains outside of Trier. You're right Tim, the roads throughout the Eifel are some of the best driving roads anywhere!

I love how Tim is so enthralled with the simple basic functions of a Hybrid. I realize that the SF90 is way more than that, but it is things like the engine recharging the battery when you let off the gas or use the brakes that he often talks about. Basic features that any Hybrid has yet he seems to find so fascinating.
The SF90 is certainly a fast and beautiful automobile.

When you are up in the north of Germany you really should visit Sylt! It‘s a nice Island for vacation and also lots of cool cars

Visited Lamborghini Pangbourne last week, what fantastic people, so friendly, and then a week later you thunder past my home town on the A7 just north of Hamburg. If I’d have known that I’d have have waved at you guys from a motorway bridge. Epic videos as always. Enjoy Denmark.

Great footage, especially of the Lusso going past you on the autobahn. Cant wait for you to cross the Great Belt bridge (Storebæltsbroen) and later on the bridge to Sweden (Øresundsbroen). Those are some of the largest bridges in the world!

For me its funny to hear how quiet the sf90 is at those speeds, the V12 is SO SO loud, in the best possible ferrari way of course.

Living in Denmark and driving down to Germany for work on anregular basis, I take that road quite often and I can’t believe how effortlessly he rides well north of 300kph on that stretch. I know that it feels sketchy much earlier in my Audi S1… probably 210-215 is the limit of what is ok comfy with cars around. Shmee just hammers it down to 325kph and chats like he’s having afternoon tea with grandma.

At roadworks on the autobahn you are not allowed in the left lane if your car is over 2m wide and that is measured from where the car is the widest (usualy from mirror edge to mirror edge while specifications often are from door to door).

I think that SF90 seems amazing, the big brother to the new V6 296GTB hybrid with 800 hp. That gas gauge looks pretty low. Big cost to fill both cars up for these high speed runs. But then if you can't afford a tank of gas, you shouldn't be taking two Ferraris on such a trip. The Lusso is a perfect companion to the SF90 for this trip. Although your G Wagen could keep up and have more room, two blue Ferraris are epic.

We have similar barriers in NL, except that they are wider on the bottom. If you hit it, you just drive up the side of it. I did that once, when I had to evade someone driving an old brightly coloured limo. No damage at all on my Coupe Fiat. Quite scary, though...

Looks like you took a night in Kolding 👍🏼 .. maybe the scandic hotel? It’s easy to use when you are traveling on the freeway. Be careful with speeding in my country, they will take your car and keep it forever if you go over 160 kmph or something like that. But I guess you already know about those insane rules here .. 😉 .. I’m really exited about your zenvo project, and I’m looking forward to see next vlog 😊👌🏻

I like this Ferrari, it does fun things and can crawl in traffic in E mode not burning silly amounts of fuel. This in its next generation with double the battery size for the same weight perfect. Would love Tim to address the fuel economy between the two Cars on these journeys.

Interesting about the GPS v speedometer reading. My BMW i3s is the only car I have ever driven where the GPS speed is only one MPH slower than the speedometer and at any speed too. My cars limit is 99 mph on GPS and the speedometer reads 100

Makes me wish we had something like the autobahn in America. Since at least for myself there's not really anything close to that here, it takes away from wanting to own sportscars and makes things like suv's make a lot more sense. That being said, I do own a Cayman S and a Cayenne Diesel but I drive the Cayenne 10x the amount of the CS sadly. If there was something like the Autobahn here I would be so much more inclined to turn the CS and the CD into something like a 911 sooner. That's the current dream at least.
