that little girl sobbing about her dog who has passed hurts on every level. five months, three two weeks, and six days ago I said goodbye to my dog of 14 years. I got her when I was 14. The hole in my heart is hard to repair. My new pup has huge pawprints to fill.

Does it get easier? It'll be six months next week since I said goodbye to my little black Chow Chow/Keeshond mix at 14. I've had her for half my life and every time I see a remotely-chow looking dog, I start crying. I don't care if it's a photo, it hurts. I really want to share this story and you seem like someone who would listen. My birthday was two months ago, and I convinced my brother to take me to get ice cream (my car's broken down) and we were walking out of the shop when a little orange head appears in front of me. I stopped dead, and asked, "Is that a chow chow?" and the owners said yes, he was a mix. I started crying and told them how I'd lost my girl, and it was my birthday, and for the first time since I was a teen she wasn't here. I asked to pet the cute boy. They said yes. I was stroking his soft orange head and crying and asked his name. Get this: his name was Toby. Tobi is my nickname. I started laughing hysterically while still snotty crying and my brother had to explain why. When I got my composure together I said it had to be a sign that on that day of all days I ran into a Chow Chow. I showed them a photo of my girl and they told me a bit about their fluffy boy. It made my day. We probably only talked for five minutes, but it make a huge difference. They're not a common breed here, by any means. I've seen maybe three including my own. But to run into one with my name on my birthday so soon after losing my girl? It just... little Toby will stay with me for a long time. Before you ask, I do have another dog. Two weeks before I lost Miss Nikki, I adopted a husky-APBT mix. She's great. She's about a year old and she loves to run and snuggle. It's made things easier a little bit, but I think what helps the most is that while they have the same personality, they look nothing alike.
So sorry you lost your girl. Look, To answer your question, does it get better or easier. No. I don’t say that to sound harsh, but I believe that only a few people or pets will touch you profoundly in your life. I also believe that grieving that loss and never really getting over it is ok. My Greta has been gone 4 years now and I still talk about her like she is just outside or something. I am sure my family is tired of me going on and on about her, but I don’t care. Her name was Greta but we affectionately called her Choo choo bear or just Chooch. Don’t ask me where the name came from. But with the story you told, thank you for taking the time to write all of that. Just goes to show you how much your dog meant to you. Never feel weird about how long you take to grieve. I am an old 50 yo and will probably grieve the rest of my life for her. I am all right with that. You are young, you will move on at some point, but I know you will never forget her.

That little sister and her brother was so emotional it reminded me of my little brother and the little girl crying about the mother dog and caring for the dog's puppy man it touched my heart my kiss to all the sweet kids in the video and of course to the man's best friend 😘

You reminded me of a book I read with moose in it. Ofcourse it was written in fun, but they were calling the moose moose's. It was a good story.

Sorry, but the plural of goose is geese, not gesses.
WHen people are talking, the background music needs to stop. It is much lower than before, but the episode with girl reading the card, the music was just loud enough to make understanding her soft voice impossible; and the English mother was hard to follow, not because of her accent, but because the music is distracting. Please just fade out all background music if people are going to be talking and fade it back in afterwards. Their words are what matters, not the music.

no it is not. it is a message from Heaven when animals we love leave us and tell us that we will meet them at the rainbow bridge when we die. you must not send grieve cards or Mass cards to people who leave loved ones as well. I feel sad for you.

No, it would be unnatural. Animals eat other animals. Humans are omnivorous animals. It's natural to eat meat.
@@givensurname1296 I am from the USA and learn since I was little of the value of animals and what they do for us. you can be a rancher, farmer, hunter or first nation person (an american indian), you give thanks to the animal who gave their life for you so you and your family and friends can eat and not go hunger.
