He would skin them and had a thing that stretched them out while they dried. He made a couple hundred bucks a week, sometimes more. Is there any money in pelts? Just curious. Famous Raymus

It’s only damage when it impacts human activity negatively. Some states are trying to reintroduce them to improve habitat that our short sightedness screwed up. That’s generally in more rural areas with less impact on the people though.

Thats how the mountain men got it done! If I didnt have all this rock bottom up here in TN Id do it the same way.
A Beaver pole dance. Who would a thunk it! I had a friend in Seattle that used to trap in the Seattle area and would get Minks as well as Otters and Beavers. He would skin them and had a thing that stretched them out while they dried. He made a couple hundred bucks a week, sometimes more. Is there any money in pelts? Just curious. Famous Raymus
Today is my Dad's funeral. I am gonna miss him so much.
Great video as always brother David 😎🇺🇸 I'm learning a lot about beavers and what kind of damage they cause. It's great you are out there restoring the balance for these land owners and farmers. Hey what are you getting your wifey for Valentine's Day? Just curious. God bless you and your family 🙏💯🇺🇸😎
It’s only damage when it impacts human activity negatively. Some states are trying to reintroduce them to improve habitat that our short sightedness screwed up. That’s generally in more rural areas with less impact on the people though.
Flowers probably
A job well done with those 🦫
Chain chain chain, chain of the Lord
Very good at setting traps
Yes sir mister !
I’m just gonna let you know it’s Sunday afternoon. I’m watching your video but guess what? I’m watching the San Francisco 49ers playing in the Super Bowl. See you later Dallas Cowboys lol brother
Imma bengals fan 😂
@@DavidEllisYawtYawt keep on trapping my brother you do a heckuva good job
Amen brother
If you get a thousand comments from people giving you what for, that's a thousand opportunities you get to educate others on the importance of land and wildlife conservation. You will never make everyone happy, David. After all, you're not a taco C'mon! 😅😊😊😊😊
you the best
David, do you ever use a hog caller to catch hogs that escaped from your traps? If so, does it work?
How much does a beaver pelt go for these days? Back in 1980 we got about $4.00 per pelt. I used to trap when I wore a younger man's boots. They grind them up to make felt.
Yawt yawt do you sell the pelts and if so how much does an average beaver pelt fetch you? Great videos keep’em coming.
20$ average
Hey David, just a question from a city girl. About what is the “average” weight of these beavers? They look pretty big to me. I just love all your videos!
Average around 35
Good stuff
Appreciate it

Well I really hate to see the end of beaver season coming. I'm also a beaver trapper but I like watching people trap them. I tried to learn something new
