  • You’re crazy to think that Frozen Empire is the nail in the coffin for Ghostbusters. It’s awesome! Plus, thanks to its $45 million opening weekend, it made Ghostbusters a billion dollar movie franchise. There’s no stopping now.

    • I loved it. I understood how they were giving the fans a lot of callbacks but what I see the most of is how many critics wanted someone to die or be dismembered in some manner. You have two completely different generations interacting and having to work together. I am astonished they were able to put so much depth into the lore and importance of keeping the firehouse. It is shocking to me how the trailer tells you exactly what you can expect and yet suddenly when the movie comes out critics feel it's time to completely change their overall opinion of the movie. I liked this way more than Afterlife but at the same time ended up liking Afterlife even more because they finally showed how both the old and new generations can work together to solve problems. We are living in a culture filled with hate. We get instant harsh reviews of movies online months before they are released. That's why KZhead had to get rid of the negative comments thumb counter. It's like catnip to the non believers or cynics. This is not a perfect movie by any means but I am definitely seeing it again.

    • @@mediamadnessreviews been a fan since the 80s, been cosplaying since 2010, I’m telling you, critics were furious on rotten tomatoes and the studios virtue signaling had no effect. 2016 was a giant mistake and ironically not inclusive by excluding male ghostbusters. It was the most retarded move ever and fans let them know. Just like they do anytime a studio uses a diversity check list. Go woke, go broke.

    • Bombing is no longer a derogatory word. Hell blade runner bombed and people talk about it more than almost any other scifi movie. At the very least the 2016 tried to have JOKES. Its Supposed to be a comedy. Sadly there are WAY too many outright crazy americans who think 'characters' are REAL PEOPLE and get pissed when you messed with them.

  • The problem with critics being negative of this movie with this channel critic being no exception is that they all make the same mistake which is they constantly make comparisons to the first two movies that starred the original actors. Yes this movie does have a number of the original actors in it but their inclusion does not mean this movie can be compared to the first two because as soon as it is done, the movie becomes trashed because nothing is going to able to compare to the first two movies. The original actors are old, they no longer have the acting abilities they once had when they were much younger starring in the original movies and yet I feel this is not taken into consideration when reviewing the movie. It is a fun movie, movie goers will like it. Unfortunately the negative critics are wrong.

In short it wasnt bad not at all. Like The Real Ghostbusters some episodes are better than others but watch it and enjoy Ghostbusters as we did when we were kids.

  • this's an interesting perspective, having seen the movie last night your withering criticisms and those of many other critics didn't ring true. I can see the potential for criticism though, but for things no-one seems to be talking about. Like, I think what's wrong with the movie is that it's a bit of an uneven patchwork of different genres that's a bit obnoxious in its presumptuous and is sort of foisted on the audience unannounced. I think the movie starts off very well and did not find all the characters who weren't Dan Akroyd uninteresting the way you did at all. I like them very much, thought they were lively and fun and do not know what you are talking about at all when you say Dan Akroyd was the only one who was really trying. What I do find a problem is - ok, so the filmmakers collectively decided to take Ghostbusters in a new direction, a family values drama with a homespun moral parable about teenagers sticking by their family unit, that's what this film is really about - that's fine, I can go with that. What I do have a problem with is this went on too long - nearly half the film with very little action in that time with the pace slowed right down after what was a very lively start and then a by comparison rushed conclusion with a big beastie they didn't explore anywhere near enough they seemed to hurriedly tack on to the end as if they thought, "oh shit, the fans want this, we'd better give them something they actually came for at the end to keep them satisfied!" So overall the movie was imbalanced and that detracted from my enjoyment of it. The way the trailer for the movie is put together it's like what happens in the last 25 minutes is the entire movie - which it kind of actually should've been - which it wasn't and is kind of really misleading and irritating. However what was there I did really enjoy and though the movie is not without its problems, mainly this one, there was a lot to enjoy, I thought it was really nicely made other than this pretty gaping flaw and otherwise found those elements really entertaining.

  • Honestly bs opinion. You said all the negatives and pushed the positives away. You were to harsh on the film it wasn't that bad and a huge step up from afterlife. Here are my changes though. More of bill murray Get fire master to fuck More of slimer Less of that weird probably lesbian girl More of podcast Stop telling 2 stories and focus on the god story Melody was useless all they needed to do was detach her from that match but they let her trick them Slow the story down it all happened to fast. Use more of new York there was only 3 or 4 sets Make the battle longer and make it more intence and use the characters we dont want just 1 kid saving the whole world Even in 1 or 2 scenes they could have made egon a ghost But ray carried tbf but that doesn't make it bad just because someone had to carry. If the fortnite sweat carries to a victory royal you still get the win

I just want movie to go back to normal were there is no DEI involved in the writing or the casting of movies and TV shows but either way no skin off my back there are plenty of 80’s and 90’ shows and movies to keep me entertained for the rest of my life I refuse to support or buy in to a society and culture that paints me as the enemy simply because of the color or lack their of in my my skin
