“I wouldn’t have walked out on Match of the Day” ⚽️ Graeme Souness Up Front With Simon Jordan
Mr Souness is beyond legendary status. And now, working to help helpless kids... what an amazing human being.
Behave.
As a long life Liverpool Fan....Sourness is one of if not the Best signing Liverpool ever made....Hard as Nails and Brilliant Leader....Great Show Simon keep em coming.....I've got Terminal Cancer and this as well as my 1st Love Boxing is 1 of the only things that keep me going....you and Spencer are a breath of fresh air....Thank You
It was a good watch and you maybe right about Souness as he was definitely right up there with the best and would have probably got picked for any international team at that time real world class of his generation , Stay strong Gary your a fighter as it’s the only way you know all the best Mate ✌🏼
Keep going Gary 💪🏻 Keep watching SJ and enjoy 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
@@philbrainy2399 Sir Phil Brainy = Top LAD Proper Clobber ✊ Great seeing Simon getting his own podcast and ask questions we all what to hear.
This guy was hard as nails, took no prisoners, one of the main reasons Liverpool won so many accolades
Legend. Had it all. Talent and determination and intellect. For me one of the best ever 🏴
Souness . An absolute legend. He looks fantastic for being 70.
Especially after his heart attacks and surgeries decades ago.
He’s 62…
@@MOVIEGUY925 he’s not! He’s 70 google it
leg end mate not legend just a Sunday league kicking merchant dirty and average at best fact.
Souness is my favourite player of ALL TIME.... LEGEND
Stop interrupting him, Simon. He's a legend.
Loved this.. The last few minutes were very sobering.. Huge praise to both Graeme and Simon.
Brilliant 55 minutes. Was never quite sure of their relationship, but it goes to show that honesty, straight, talking, courage and intellect cuts through the crap of mediocrity and entitlement that is all around us. Thank you for a quality broadcast chaps.
What's courageous about it?
Courage to not sugar coat something and risk derailing the conversation
@@ljs185 bar is pretty low for being called courageous nowadays huh
55 is a staunch number, for a staunch staunch fellow is our Mr Sounesssssss 🇬🇧🍊✝️ Forget getting tackled by him like!!
@@vp922the bar is low for everything. It's been a race to the bottom for the past 20+ years.
Perfect podcast host is Simon because he doesn't shy away from the difficult questions. Good to see his compassionate side and I'm looking forward to seeing many more episodes!
He was a genius as a player. And his athleticism was 10-20 years ahead of its time. I’m not even a Liverpool fan, I’m a hated rival fan, and he helped ruined my bloody childhood. Maybe the biggest compliment you could give him. Top top top drawer player. Fair pundit. Deserves a Pat on the back.
Awful pundit
He wasn't a genius as a player,Messi is a genius.
@@LouLouPooPoo94 take a hike . Souey was a good pundit. You cant handle or maybe dont understand the truth.. souey didnt complicate FOOTBALL. He even won LEAGUE cup with Blackburn. He was good manager made some mistakes man enough to admit it. Your not half the man souey is.
@@erniescullion8452cmon he wasn't a good pundit. Thinks tactics are not needed, wasn't a good manager. Managed to end the Liverpool era.
@LouLouPooPoo94 he's only awful because you don't have the knowledge he has of the game, and you want to think you do
Something about Souness that’s really engaging. When he speaks I want to listen, as if you know he’s not just going to repeat some over used trope and he’ll give you proper insight
When Souness went to work for Irish TV it was eye-opening. We all had this wrong image of him as a bit anti Irish because he was ex rangers n proud of it.....but he was such an amazing pundit....very fair, frank and so insightful...that he quickly won the hearts of the nation... He also was amazed with what he could get away with saying on Irish TV which was more free flowing than in the beeb or itv. I also remember him as the only pundit to question the trappatoni appointment for Ireland. Dunphy as usual jumped on the bandwagon much later. Great guest n very touching in the end
Graeme is as humble as they come , was fortunate to be in his company at a charity Event Over 30 years ago in a Famous Liverpool hotel 🤔 still have the picture to prove lol Told him he was my favourite Liverpool player to watch as a kid growing up in Liverpool During the late 70,s and early 1980’s 👍
Could listen to the pair of you all day. Both of you say it as it is, and, suck up to nobody. Was a Mufc season ticket holder for years but i have the utmost respect for Graeme and what he achieved at Liverpool. I think he's the best player they have ever had. When Liverpool was dominant in Europe for about 5yrs, it was Graeme that conducted the Orchestra, the whole team revolved around Graeme. Total respect
I loved this interview. Both parties with great insights and showed that they are real people underneath. Subscribed. Thank you.
This was just fabulous. Such a privilege to hear what makes/made a player as good as Graeme Souness tick.
GS paid for 24 hour care for Ray Kennedy and paid to adapt his bungalow whilst managing the Toon and that in itself somes this man up ❤
Vow as a united fan I already held him in very high regards as great footballer but now knowing about his charitable characteristics and like you informed us about Ray Kennedy my administration has multiplied by a million. Respect
Graeme was always one of the pundits who I took seriously because when he speaks you know he is confident in his opinion and experienced enough to back it up. Massive respect for the man, and simon
He says some stupid shite a lot of the time, can tell why he didn't make a good manager. Contradicts himself a lot of the time as well.
Mr Souness is an absolute legend 🙌
Honestly brilliant. Thanks Simon and Graeme. I loved hearing about your charity work also!
Sir Simon = Top LAD Proper Clobber ✊ Could listen to Graeme Souness all day man talks 💯 Facts
Facts 💯
@@GamerFrisco 💪😉👍💯 Facts
Are you ever going to stop repeating that "top lad proper clobber" claptrap? Are you really that boring you can't think of something else to type?🙄
This is one of the best PC out there. If you know of GS and SJ this is a oil and water relationship, but the honest and true emotion and sincerity is what modern sports is missing. Nice job fellas.
Well done Simon for turning the interviewee/interviewer 70/30% talking time split completely on its head.
As a Rangers fan I could be called biased however the thing about Souness is, he’s consistent, he has thought about his ideas and opinions and you know where you stand with him. His recent work with that little girl Isla and the charity overall is commendable. Souness could take the hardest of tackles but that little girl breaks him in two every time he talks to her. Great interview, great man.
Fascinating, well done to you, Simon and Graeme.👏 However, it was way too short. For my liking. Simon, maybe you could schedule another episode with Graeme at some point? He has a very storied career. More details on his playing days and those that played alongside him. And also more information about his challenges as a manager, would be interesting and justified. Graeme, if you happen to read these comments, I urge you to try and stay in football media. I’ve always found you interesting and value your opinions. Please don’t disappear! I was a kid in the 70s and like all my mates could be seen walking around with a fistful of Panini cards and your moustachioed Face was always one that I remember. And all the great achievements of the Liverpool sides of that era, going into the early 80s. Well done Graeme.👍
GS is a legend and always will be in my eyes...a gracious man and speaks the truth...Well done on the charity work too...nice to see sum1 giving back to society 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 YNWA 😍😍
With a packet of sweets and a cheeky smile, souness is a pedophile
Loved sounesd as a player, liked him as a manager, loved him as a pundit. Love him as a person. Great guy.👍
🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
Top class character for me, straight talking, down the line, honest and strong in his opinion(s). Enjoyed his input every time he was on Sky and TalkSport. Probably has some cracking stories of years gone by and off air, I reckon would tell you more so in depth as to what he thinks of how football really is today in comparison. Will be missed by those who enjoyed his input and presence. Great interview this! 👏👏
Brilliant interview........Graham is such a top bloke, can't wait for the next one
Brilliant interview, could listen to these 2 all day.
Wow Gents! So amazing to witness a grown up conversation about the game we love. No agenda's or nonsense politics. Thank you both
Put together , comfortably the most stylish , eloquent and intelligent bloke in the media , with a real man's man , who unlike most pundits today , has impeccable credentials , and you have the most stimulating conversation you could hope for . Outstanding Simon and Graeme ...thank you ..such a pity Mr Souness departed Talk Sport on a Monday , it really was much watch TV via KZhead
I love the story from one of his Scotland teammates who was having a stinker, and getting grief from the fans, and Souness dragged this player through the game. All his ex teammates say he was a proper leader.
He was a Genius player. Too many people think he was just a hard man, but he was an absolutely fantastic player. Made me support Liverpool
Genius? Showreel please?
😂😂😂 are you in drugs?
Fantastic watch!!! Keep em coming Simon!!
Great interview, Graham Souness is THE most knowledgable football man in the UK.
Really really refreshing football chat... thanks Simo for pushing Graham to really say what he really feels... loved it
The world needs Simon in 2023! Everyone knew what Souness meant, Sky are cowards and Graeme should have told them to shove their job, you can tell he is embarrassed by it! Graeme has a pure heart, the last 5 minutes shows that
Great interviews really enjoyed listening good job keep them going 👍
This man takes no prisoners. Doesn’t kowtow to anyone irrespective of the legend he is interviewing. Very rare to see !
As always Graeme Souness at his best. He played as a true honest fighter for his love of football and winning which is the difference in his time and today’s players who only love the money. Today’s players cry at a torn eyelash and wouldn’t last 5 minutes against the players of the past like Graeme. Apart from the football he is such a genuine man. Keep it coming Graeme and come and manage the England team. Thanks for all the fabulous memories both on and off the field.
Fantastic episode with Graeme, could have listened to another couple of hours easily 👌
Forget his brilliant career and everything else, Souness is a legend for still highlighting the lingering effects of Hillsborough
it sounded to me he just used it as an excuse for a bad job he did with the club
Souness gave an interview to the S*n. Not sure he’ll ever be forgiven for it.
Yet he sold his story to the Sun.
Great watch! Absolutely loving this podcast ❤
One of the best interviews I've watched. 2 people who speak their minds. Who talk logical and you get a straight answer. Brilliant! 😊👍👏
True midfield general. Leader, baller, and absolute savage!
.....you forgot to mention that he was a thug......good player, mind, but a complete psycho on the pitch.....
Would still smash Keane and Jones to bits today.
💯
he was never a baller 😂
🏳️⚧️🏳️⚧️🏳️⚧️🏳️⚧️
Love souness and what he represents, a real badman on the pitch. We wanna hear shut his career, give us a part 2
Brilliant interview, you have to respect Souness as a player and glad he didn’t sit on the fence about the MOTD debacle where all of the presenters should have been sacked
You could get a queue of players and managers who would do the MOTD programme for nothing. Particularly if there was a rolling panel of expects.
Loving this new format, brilliant from Simon Jordan again and great to hear the views from the legend that is Graeme Souness 👍👏
Thank you for this. Please could you get Roy Keane on next?
Brilliant interview. Frank and honest interview and Graeme seems a decent humble fella, good job well done.
Great content..... Great insight into the side of football we don't see ⚽⚽
This was better than I expected!! Well Done Simon and Team
What a player and what a personality. We need more pundits like him and Simon. The world is currently wet lettuce's and people's genders are now taken as personalities which is a sad world we live in.
Just ignore all the losers. Because that is what all those people are. Irrelevant losers.
I like this man very much. He's honest, he was a bloody brilliant player and captain and a not half bad manager. He speaks as he finds. Of course he's ex Liverpool but he speaks fairly of other teams. Not many can do that.
Loved this. Souness, what a LEGEND. Simon is fantastic interviewer. Combine the two.... perfection!!
Souey was an amazing footballer, hence why he was "one of only a few" to make it to Italy which at the time had the likes of Maradona etc in Serie A. A leader of men and an honest pundit thanks for Giving it back to Gary Neville. You done well Souey 👌. Happy retirement Graeme. All the best from a Man City fan.
Brilliant interview from start to finish. The last 5 minutes discussing the charity is amazing to see the bond this has given both men.
As a life long United supporter I used to love watching Graham Souness bossing middle of the pitch..didn't enjoy being beaten by Liverpool but kind of admired his tenacity to win like Roy Keane. But I'm now in total awe of him learning about the Charitable Contribution he is making for this worthy cause.Respected as a top notch footballer but even more so for his compassion for these poor young children!!!!
Brilliant work Simon. Enjoying all your media work. Top man!
Mr Souness. I remember being a young lad (born in 76),my dad who is a big Man Utd fan always saying, I wish Souness played at utd. Great player. Not scared of a tackle. Great podcast Mr Jordan, keep em coming sir.
"Not scared of a tackle".....lol That's one way of describing him.....
Great show
Wonderful wonderful wonderful interview. So Much Respect for both of you 👍👍👍👍
What a brilliant interview. Both great guys I right enjoyed it. Good to hear your both doing so much for that charity. Hope it goes well 🙏
Great work. Two top boys 💯
Another great episode; keep them coming, Simon. Got me at the end when Graeme was talking about the work of the charity, DEBRA, whom I’d not previously heard of. I followed this up by visiting their website and making a donation.
👏 👏 Top man
Great conversation !
Excellent that was one of your best.thank you
Souness was such a class and big game player one of my greatest ever players, he will be greatly missed on Sky
As one of your very first subscribers Simon I wholly believe you will hit 100k subs in a matter of weeks once people get wind of you this Chanel will fly. This was a quality interview with Graeme
Doing a sterling job on these pods Simon great guests up front and raw conversations excellent
An excellent interview. Growing up in the 80s and being a liverpool fan, GS was one of my favourite players. I was devasted when he left in 84 for Sampdoria. I watched many games when he was manager and despite the sun story, always supported him. He did inherit an ageing team though contrary to what he said, the team won the league in 1990 and he joined April 1991, and at the time were challenging for the league. He always admitted he made too many changes but people do forget he did also bring through some very good young players. A legend in every sense!
Loved his “interactions” with Giles on RTE, and Redknapp on Sky….he put Jamie on the naughty step more than once…..😮
Excellent conversation.
Great conversation from 2 top guys, really enjoyed this
Can i just say this is the best content out there at the minute. The Humility and emotion in the interview is something. I didnt like Souness before watching this and can say my opinions changed of the guy. Fair play.
He is such teddy bear in real life. I honestly met people who met Souey.
Graeme was my 1st footballing hero and he’s still the best captain of any football team I’ve ever seen. He comes across as a man who’d tell you his truth and you can like it or lump it. I wish him all the luck in the next part of his life and hope to see him do a few more podcasts revealed some stories I’ve yet to hear
Could listen all day long , great interview
Is this Simon Jordan interviewing Simon Jordan whilst Graeme Souness watches? Let the man answer the questions, bloddy 'ell!!!!
You are an extraordinary man Simon. One of the finest human beings alive. And well done Souness. Great content.
This podcast should be called “Squaring the circle, with Simon Jordan”
As a Celtic always disliked Sounness for obvious reasons but you cant help but respect the man. Love his views on modern day football and his no nonsense approach.
Great pod. Loving it
He is a living legend!! Love the guy !!
The two upfronts so far are fantastic. Proper chats to the heart, not creeping to the stars like old Parkie used to do. Looking forward to the next ones.
Really good podcasts... had to subscribe
Simply a fantastic interview.
The world is a better place for people like Graeme Souness and honesty! I watched him as a kid and was amazed with his ability & natural leadership, he was my tutor as I learned the game by watching him. Fantastic interview Simon!🤙
Brilliant podcast. Really appreciate and enjoying these interviews. Only two in. Amazing Simon Jordan 👍
Good interview that !
So glad I've found this channel. I've been binge watching over the last week or so and this was another great interview. Souness for me, along with Keane has been one of the most enjoyable pundits to watch over the last 10 years or so. Says it how it is.
Liverpool's greatest ever midfielder that includes Gerrard
@Rod Peterson There’s a case to be made about that statement.
Great chat Guys. The last 5 minutes was Emotional, thanks for bringing it to people’s attention 👏👍
Sourness was one of the 2 best Liverpool CMs they ever had along with Stevie. I like him and respect the work he’s doing with that charity.
Sourness??
Enjoyed that talk. Thanks guys👍
Damn! Wish more time was spent talking about Graeme's troubled time managing Liverpool. Fascinating stuff. A fine interview, Simon.
The greatest all round player that ever graced the grass at Anfield!
Suarez 13/14
Better than Alf Arrowsmith?
Lololol
At last, someone agrees with me. Been saying it for 40yrs
The best pod cast on football I've heard. Simply brilliant!
Brilliant. Cant wait!
Absolutely brilliant podcast , truthful throughout and heart rendering at the end . I subscribed immediately after .
I can’t wait for this! Loved the first one. A welcome break from nonsense interviews and a discussion of actual facts and characters by a forthright interviewer!
Better than the overlap, what a load of shite that is.
How do I apply
You mean you couldn’t wait?
