The Michael Singer Podcast: Ceasing to Be Caught in the Waters of Mind

2021 ж. 28 Мау.

Michael Singer reveals the source of an agitated mind-and how spiritual surrender holds the keys to joy and freedom.
The natural state of the mind is like calm, still water, teaches Michael Singer. The practice of spiritual surrender-to "relax and release" our resistance to whatever arises in our experience-is the pathway to enjoying serenity of mind no matter what the universe throws your way.
In this podcast, Michael Singer uses the analogy of an aquatic bird maintaining its balance on rough water to illustrate what to do and what not to do if we want to stay poised and upright when life gets turbulent.

  • I am 63 years old and I've been miserable for the most part of those years. Two years ago I came to hear Eckhart Tolle and that was my beginning of realizing that this Spiritual Awakening ìdea is the way, somehow, to ĺive, and to live in Truth. Two years later I'm still searching for a way to do this. My life didn't even feel a little bit better. Oh no, if anything I'm feeling worse. Until I heard you speak on KZhead. Michael, I'm just starting to understand that maybe I can learn from your teachings I am hopeful and listening to anything I can hear you say. I do know now I am the consciousness, not the mind. But my mind is insane and I need and want to fix it. I want to find peace and love living. Thank you so much for this much. I'm still hoping. Blessings to you, blessings and love. 🙏❤🙏

  • Feeling so very grateful to Michael for his teachings and to Sounds True for making these available. My 13 year old daughter has be suffering debilitating symptoms relating to a Functional Neurology Disorder for more than 9 months, including paralysis, non-epileptic seizures, vision loss etc. We've had multiple hospital presentations and admissions. This morning I felt drawn to this recording and as I listened to it knew that my daughter would benefit from it. After some strong encouragement she reluctuantly agreed to listen to it and I'm thrilled to report that she was able to talk, walk, see with clarity and hasn't suffered any seizures since listening to it a few hours ago. The messages really resonated with her. This was the key to her recovery journey. I can't thank you enough!

    • Love this! Isn’t Life beautiful, how we grow and expand, learning how to navigate through our journey to be in the here and now, letting go of the roller coaster of our thoughts ~ and having complete trust in the natural unfoldings of Life ~ where we need not push ~ that we can truly open our hearts, noticing the beauty all around us, due to the time we now have, as we are no longer in our minds 24/7, trying to figure out this and that , the why’s and why me’s. When we let go, allowing Life to run it’s natural course, rather than trying so hard to not have this or that happen, or gripping in anxiety, so afraid of what will happen next, or trying to prevent this or that from happening,,, instead, we relax, take a full deep breath, totally letting go, releasing all train of thoughts that are trying to take residence within our minds and body’s, and just be still, look around , and enjoy the moment that is right in front of us. When we do this those moments of stillness begin to grow more and more, placing surprises and delights within those moments that we took control over our lives by letting go of control ♥️ Freedom 💝 Super proud of your 13 year old! What story will have! Imagine all the lives she will touch from her learning to take control of her life by letting go and letting life pass through, holding onto to her joy, her peace, and enjoying those moments of being present ♥️ One day she will look back at all this and be so thankful she went through what she went through (and even more, that she has a mom who loves her so deeply that she introduced to her how to obtain freedom at such a young age) Many blessing to you mom and your daughter and your entire family’ ♥️ Orlando Florida

  • Gosh this is very very profound. I’m really enjoying his podcasts. I don’t care one iota about this world. I only care about my state of mind and how I feel. Nondual teachings like Ramana Maharishi have taught that world is a projection of my mind and yet I have no control over it. All I need to do is become comfortable with observing the different mind states and stop freaking out about the mind’s reactions to the things of the world. It will all pass. I am scared of my own mind and the mind states- that’s why I’m constantly trying to placate other people and change the world so my mind can be quiet. But when I become more comfortable with these emotions passing through, I can become more familiar with the patterns of reactions in the mind and not freak out every time I have a reaction. I can just observe. I don’t need to be scared of the world because what I am really scared of is just my own mind and its emotional reactions. I just need to become more familiar with it and observe my mind as I go throughout the day.

  • I've been on the spiritual path what seems like my whole life, have done so many lectures, retreats, workshops... you name it I likely have done it, most of them calm my mind for few months, at most, then have to go back and take another one again... Reading Michael first book the 'Untethered Soul' felt to me for the first time in my life I've been liberated: like metaphor... as though I have unraveled my stripes, thought all these time I was a zebra only to find I am a horse. Michael's teaching is teaching me truly what a mind is all about....so much wisdom and I am set free... just breathe and release... Thank you so kindly Michael for showing us the way back home.

  • So grateful For Michael Singers teachings. I recently found out about this and hope it will help me to recover from many years of sad litigation abuse in a divorce where my ex did take my house; car; health insurance and all things he had promised when I did meet him when only 21.. his goal was to make me bankrupt and homeless for leaving him. I could not stand up and the it was so painful and disturbing I got very sick for years. His revenge was hard to survive. He did end up with all our community assets, only becuase I had no funds for legal representation in California: I am saved by friends from my home country but with nothing left while he lives early retired from my money too.. A very unfair trail where I almost lost my life prior; during and after . I am listening to this like a candle in the dark… hoping for release and freedom. Thank you 🙏❤️🌺

If my mind wants to create something and I also feel I want to do something, I rather focus on things that are helpful like listening to a podcast like this one, instead of over-analysing and get stuck. And I love being in nature for example, make music, or just sitting on the couch in silence, or lying down in the grass and looking at the clouds... A heart-mind coherence ❤🧠
