But there are so many i have seen trainees or ex trainees who said they almost became EXO member. But thats not true bcoz during that time there were almost 150 trainees which were under sm and was competiting with each other for the line up. Being a trainee at that time and being a part of the debut line up (like johnny from nct) is different. Johnny actually backed up after bcoz he wanted to train more or else he would have been EXO's maknae as he is younger than sehun.

He said 2016, but EXO debuted in 2012. He could say he was offered to be in EXO, yes. But even the latest members (Jongdae and Baekhyun) to be introduced went through tight auditions. Then there's also Johnny who trained with Kai, Sehun, Suho for 4 years but didn't debut with them but had to wait to be debuted in NCT

I honestly don't believe that he could have been in exo. Like. Lay has said before, there were around 120 trainees fighting for a position in exo. And the ones who made it are ones who are now here. Just bc an sm scouter was trying to recruit him, does not mean he could've been in the group. There are TOO many trainees to evaluate, and u can't be sure that he woulda been the one. Don't get me wrong, he is talented BUT he wasn't even a trainee to even know/think he could've made it into the group.

It's kpop world. Scouts may be everywhere but you may never get a golden chance again. Only the most lucky ones do. His decision may seem right to you, but may not look the same to him. He already lost his chance at Exo, p101, Mixnine. I hope he does debut and become successful but it seems so unlikely now.

But there are so many i have seen trainees or ex trainees who said they almost became EXO member. But thats not true bcoz during that time there were almost 150 trainees which were under sm and was competiting with each other for the line up. Being a trainee at that time and being a part of the debut line up (like johnny from nct) is different. Johnny actually backed up after bcoz he wanted to train more or else he would have been EXO's maknae as he is younger than sehun.

Then there's also Johnny who trained with Kai, Sehun, Suho for 4 years but didn't debut with them but had to wait to be debuted in NCT
He made the best decision at that time. Everything happens for a reason. If he was with EXO we wouldn't have got Woo Taegyeong 😭❤️
