How to Upgrade Your F30 BMW Screen + Apple CarPlay & Android Auto

MMI Prime (Apple CarPlay/ Android Auto) bit.ly/3iZiays
8.8” Display for F30 & F32 bit.ly/2HcSjFQ
(In the video we used an OEM display from a scrapyard)
F30 BUILD kit.co/JUSTINBUICE/f30-build
In this video we upgraded the tiny 6.5” “peasant display” to the larger 8.8” display. In my opinion, this is the screen that the 340i should have come with.
We also installed the BimmerTech Multi Media Interface (MMI Prime) which allows you to use both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as install a backup camera if your car didn’t come with one.
Huge thanks to Bryan at Kies Motorsports for the parts and installation!

  • I'm just getting into cars and I'm considering getting a 2016 328i. I'm watching these videos to learn more and also see what mods I can do in the future. I just wanted to what exactly the MMI Prime is and why it's required. I know that it's a multimedia device but is it impossible for you to just get a standalone screen or is this method just better. Also, are there any cheaper alternatives?
