I started activities to regenerate trees that were cut for various reasons.
All logs I use are scrap wood.
There are times when we cut a lot, but please be assured that we collect wood debris and give it to reclaimers.

I'm looking to get a new lathe, and I am curious why you use a Rikon when in the past you used a Vicmarc? Did you get rid of the Vicmarc? What makes the Rikon better? Are there any problems with the Rikon? Thanks!

お疲れ様です(ΦωΦ)ゞ 作品の製作を色々みている中で 細ければ細いほど造形がキレイと 個人的に思ってしまうのですが 旋盤の回転を考えると細くなるほど 強度がなくなるんでしょうね🤔 楕円形は、それほど難しくないとすると 正確な真球を旋盤の回転だけで削るのは やはり経験がものを言ってしまうかもしれませんね 台座の球面と球がピッタリ合わさるのは 見てて気持ち良かったです👍
今年もお世話になりました🙇 細くても強度は意外にあるのですが、綺麗な木をあまり削りたくなくて最近は太めになってしまいます😅 生木製作で手加工なので真円ではないのですが、おおよそ丸になるように西洋の古い技術を生かして製作しています💡 球体作品は、いくつか製作しましたがリピート率も高く大変人気の作品となりました👏 よいお年をお迎え下さい！
