An uncommon chamfer plane using a chisel - 100% made by hand.
In this video I want to show you how to make a hand plane. This has the particularity that it's made to be used with a chisel and its utility is to chamfer the corners of the wood.
For making this tool I have only use hand tools.

  • I recently made myself a round bottom hand plane for use on chair seats as part of the project had quite a few 45 degree chamfers to do. I ended up just using two lines and a block plane to do them but something like this would be far better and consistant. I'll be adding this to my list of projects to make, and will be a good use of the extra tool steel I had for the round bottom plane!
