    • Try Golf Sidekick if you want to learn about course management and scoring well for amateur golfers. He’s the best for that, and pretty charismatic too, but with a style all of his own. He played Pebble Beach, which was great to watch, but usually just plays local courses in Thailand. He’s South African, though. Even has lectures, which are good, serious, but a bit tongue in cheek to lighten them up.

  • There is a wonderful feeling of joy, like being a kid and having total confidence in what you are being told by your grandpa or elder, sort of aura about Brad Faxon. Every word makes perfect sense, and his beautiful interaction with you as a person cannot be stressed enough. This is what teachers are like, at their best. Its what the good ones were like when i was young. I wish each of us had a Brad Faxon for every subject in school, and every new skill in life. We would be better off, as humanity.

    • I disagree. Everyone I watch do more than Rick. Golf Mates, Golf Sidekick, Matt Fryer…they all do. I think Rick has done a great job of marketing himself and seams natural and approachable on camera. But he’s a driving range teaching professional, the bottom of the pro hierarchy, and would probably have a 2-4 handicap. He has to be open about his weaknesses as his peers would pillor him if he wasn’t. I could see his reverse pivot and handsy fast arms in his swing from the first few videos I saw, and his mechanical, unnatural uncomfortable putting stroke is obvious to anyone who’s played to a low single figure handicap and better for a while.

    • Take a small notebook and pen to lesson.. Write down the drills and relevant info. Keep the notebook in your bag. Why spend $$ on golf lessons only to rely on memory to practice whats been taught? You can then refer back to it months-years late. Also good to keep written results of training games and stats to watch improvement.

  • One of the keys for any teacher is to be able to communicate well to the student. A lot of instructors- of any subject- are more interested in trying to impress people with their knowledge than in actually teaching the student. Brad seems to be relatable and genuinely interested in having his pupil actually learn something and to improve. Awesome video!

  • That was an invaluable lesson from one of the best putters of all time. The amazing thing was how much we can all take from that even though we weren’t the ones receiving the lesson. I would also say that without even realising it I was amazed how much of that I am already doing exactly like what Brad says. Putting is the best part of my game by far and maybe this is why. So it was good to hear so much fantastic tips from Brad and that he was so willing to share this with everyone. I could also instantly see the improvement in Rick’s putting stroke once he relaxed and followed what Brad was telling him. He definitely thinks way too much while he putts and you can see it all going through his head and he talks himself out of the putt before he even hits it. I hope to see the improvement now if he can follow what Brad told him. Thanks for filming this for us all Rick, it was amazing.

  • Rick: I just wanted to offer you a sincere thank you for this video from the bottom of my heart! This is easily the best golf KZhead video on putting I have ever watched! I can think of no better way to describe this than to say that your interaction with Brad Faxon in this video is pure gold. I am completely wowed by this content. I have been a + 3 handicap until recently, I am now a 1 and climbing... injuries/illness. I am a +5 at putting according to ARCCOS. Even so, I have learned so, so, much from this one video! This ammounts to a free lesson with one of the all time greats, which is somehting that I will never get the chance to do in person. I can tell you with a great deal of confidence that my putting is going to get even better because of this video. Beyond that, and more importantly, I am raising 2 junior golfers who will benefit from this even more than this old, washed up, has been will. :0) Thank you so much for this video!

  • I think the coolest part about this lesson, is none of it was really about the actual mechanics of the golf swing. Because Rick's a pro, he knows how to hit a putt. • Another great insight and as with Claude, everything Brad says makes sense and is in a way far less mechanical and more feel and fluidity. The importance of a pre shot routine for all shots that is consistent is another key thing that you see many people don’t have and loved the tips of making that fluid also through even small movements. Two powerful lessons that must have been great to have experienced but you’ve also done a fantastic job with the team to capture them so that we can all take something away from them. • Wonderful. I always forget that putting can be improved in so many different ways .. some technical, some mental, some physical, etc. Brad seems like such a nice guy to be around.

  • Honestly, this is the best putting video I've ever watched. I've just saved huge money but more importantly, learned a lot about the approach to putting. This can help so many people. Thanks for being the test subject Rick! I got the same feeling as that time you gave EAL a swing lesson. Thanks!

  • I really like the gentle way in which Brad shared his knowledge of dos and don’ts with Rick. I loved the screen shot of Guy’s face in one of Ricks fluffy putts. I really laughed with you 😂. I like Brad’s philosophy on thinking about my putting. Very worthwhile watch.

  • I am definitely saving these 2 lessons from your Florida trip. I think both would be great to come back to every couple weeks. What a treat to hear how that caliber of a teacher approaches the game.
