Thank you for your review Sam. I was eagerly waiting for it since launch. As for me, I don't ever use wireless charging, because I mostly stay next to my desk and all the ports, and I rarely ever capture photos, and in times that I do, I don't really bother myself as much with great quality. And I don't play games, so Nothing's light AOSP software skin along with smoother animations with 120 Hz for me is decent enough.

I love your videos mate but this is harsh on the camera.. the phone is cheaper than the Galaxy A35.. and that camera is absolutely rubbish. The camera is fine for 99% of people. I wouldn't call it a downside when its the same price as an iphone 11 from half a decade ago..
This is a great phone. My only complain is the aspect ratio. Wanted it to be narrower.

Ok so... Is better than most of the phones for the price range, and the battery is good, cameras are ok, no wireless charging (Not a problem for me) and sometimes lags (I think the lagging issues can be fixed on a Software Patch but ok)... I think it works for me, i'm buying one

bought one online and after a few days returned it. Exchanged it for the same price a55 which is already the 12gb ram model I get so much better battery life/performance and overall phone feel with the aluminum frame i never thought an exynos would fair better than a mediatek

Yeah. I really agree that its camera performance is the biggest drawback. I also resorted to gcam, and I hope there's a gcam in the future that can utilize the 50 MP camera hardware. Nonetheless, it's still a great phone.

Im still waiting on my white phone 2a from jb hi fi aus. They have stock of all the other phones just not the white. And i dont want the black due to fingerprint issues.
The reviewer forgets most of the time how mutch this device costs and what we get for the money. From my experience with it: 10 points from 10. For the phone, not the reviewer.

Ig it is unfair to compare the camera to the lights of the flagship give that it isn't one, for the price i feel it well and truly justifies the camera, also with time the camera processing will only improve ( phone 2a user)

I hope this design remains ONLY for their A phones, rather than spreading to the rest of the line. Saying they look like an iPhone, when everything is a glass sandwich is just absurd to me (and IK sam isn't alone in saying that). I also just really like the design of the Phone One and Two.

I can't really understand why Nothing keep making phones bigger and bigger, 2a have oportunity to be small factor phone like default iPhones. I will buy it immediatly, hate Nothing(1) have giant screen.

lemme tell you this... nothing is aiming for the indian market with this one. i own nothing phone 2 and its an expensive phone amongst my friends and it even goes as fligship phone among my friends. in india "midrange" is the price at which 2a is at right now.

i know they used plastic on the back to save money but they should have made it frosted so it doesnt pick up fingerprints and scratches that quickly, and youll still be able to see the underside bits too
I got fed up with the expensive fruit ecosystem and sold my iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch to this. Honestly, best decision i ever made in years. A lot of ppl would regret it, but not me, who is now happily embracing minimalism.
If you're in US then yes this phone is pretty good for the price, but on other place where Xiaomi, POCO or IQOO exist then this phone is not worth the price

While you are judging this phone like a flagship one, remember this is a mid ranger targeted towards normal to moderate users. Also the less you pay the less you will get, so i guess you can get down of your high horses and review it like a mid range😂
Wireless charging (really plugless charging) is a totally unnecessary luxury feature. I don't get why it's such a big deal that it's not on their budget phone... If you want luxury features buy the luxury model...
In your settings menu, I notice the background looks AMOLED pitch black whereas on my phone 2 it's grey. Is that new in an update?

Got it at 260$ in India for 8gb+128gb base variant & for that money all is well. Cameras are definitely on the weaker side but can be improved via software updates. Optimization game also warrants an upgrade. But for that price, it's the best phone for stock Android lovers😊

Issue with this phone is the Pixel 7a, A55, One plus 12R, and just a used year old flagship makes this device awkward. I seen the horror stories with their awful customer service. So you can either gamble on a no name, or have a little more security with a known brand like Google. Google takes care of their customers. When I worked wireless they were the only ones that did and they sent a lady 3 Pixel 7 Pros within 3 months cause she just had bad luck and kept getting defective units after the warranty period expired.
Oneplus 10t - flagship performance, mid range price. Definitely outperforms the nothing 2a for around the same price

even the pixel 6 pro or 7 are an enormous upgrade over this all show no go phone. both of which can be found under 350
same, got mine 2 months ago at 340. phones are getting so good to be able to last 6-8 years if treated right, if not just change the battery for the most. It really doesn't make sense getting a mid/low end phone if you can get and 1-2 year old flagship that these days have 5+ years of support
In the US, Nothing is non-existent. We don't have them. The carriers here don't carry them. You can get it unlocked but it doesn't support most 4 & 5G bands.
The only big compromise for me is UFS 2.2.... Seriously carl pei

Nothing 3 is rumoured to be nothing's first flagship. Unfortunately the price for that will be closer to $2,000 aud if you don't care for the price then go for it.

Sam I'm now sure how much the Nothing costs in Oz but here in Cyprus it's €380 (night not include shipping or import duties). For that money I can buy a Samsung A35 which not only looks as good but has a superior display, superior cameras, superior CPU, superior warranty, tons of accessories on the market, and local walk in 1 hour repairs. I'd say Samsung has a very strong game on this year in the budget segment and I think they're aiming to see a big increase in sales. Oh I almost forgot, 4 years OS updates and 5 years security. That applies to all their phones. In Jerry's teardown you'll see that the fancy patterns on the phone, especially the bottom, is just a plastic insert. That's not a real data cable and 100 cosmetic. Underneath it's a generic Chinese bulk production vanilla phone. I can find a case online with those patterns for a Samsung (and many other phones) if I really want that look. What they should have done was put alot more effort into the cameras. That's really the weakest link in this segment of the market. That's why Samsung has a strong game because they have the best cameras in the budget segment. And they even do 4k video, even on the selfie. The 2a should realistically have been priced at no more than €300 including shipping etc. but I suppose they needed a money spinner and this will do the job well. If I was them I'd get a gcam port, hack it to get the code, and adapt it to work with my cameras rather than try develop my own camera software. In fact this is where Google lets Android down. If they would make gcam available to all OEM's to use and adapt to their cameras, ALL Android phones could have Pixel level capabilities. That would instantly destroy 1 of apple's pillars. Yet they don't do this because Google are asleep at the wheel
