NEVER start posting until your puppies ears are completely HEALED with no sores or scabs.....just wait until they are healed to post.Also NEVER tape anything tight and NEVER cut anything with scissors after you have placed it on your puppys ears....always pre cut and pre measure before placing it on your puppy..

We used bundled up chopsticks, and the bridge was at the tip to tip , and i left a big cone on for half the time, changed em once a week , came out great. Ive also seen vets use custom cut foam glued on the inside of their ears, seemed wayore comfortable and easy

I finally get to see a crazy puppy like mine is 😂 A bunch of videos that i have seen have these caaaalm and mellow puppies and people post the ears without breaking a sweat... I have to chase my dog around and i am exhausted after i post the ears.. but so is he, so he goes to sleep 😂😂

Even though this video is perfect, I'm a bit tactile and want to see first hand. Both my older dogs ears came out perfect. My new pup is still in posts and looking good.

I love that tape!! I have always used the Johnson Zonas tape. Then you have to use the adhesive remover. Where do you get this type of tape?

Hi ! Perfect timing I’ve got a 2.5 month old Doberman ( just got her yesterday night) I got it from a backyard breeder With ears cropped, I believe the lady(breeder) was from Tj I’m assuming that’s where they got my new puppy’s ears cropped how ever she told me to leave the stitches on for 10 more days and the puppy supposedly got her ear cropped a week ago. I can see the stitches on the puppies ears. It looks like it’s healing right it has a frame that’s holding the ears up how ever she does have a bit of dried up blood on the stitches I will clean her up today I’m just worry about removing the the stitches on when it would be the right time.

My puppy started his ear posting at 7 weeks old. I followed this method a few times, and every time making some adjustments. The issue I have is that the foam pieces keep popping out causing the ears to bend forward. I am using the 1/2 backer rod pieces.

Pretty late for ear cropping…always a risk it will not stand after 10 to 11 weeks of age.

no not at all. ears can be cropped at any age long as its done by a good professional. the older they are, the bigger the two main veins in the ear are, and the more blood they shoot out like jet streams, which is why the shitty vets dont want to do it. Thats a great indicator as to if you are dealing with a great vet vrs one who doesn't know half of what he should. ive seen dogs done at 2 and 3 years old. the lenght of the crop will be the main determining factor as to if the ears will stand on their own once cropped. short crops like bully dogs stand soon as cropped cause most the weight of the ear is gone therefore no longer weighing the ear down. but long crops like dobie and great dane crops likly will not stand on their own so if you have a dog requiring a long crop, you need to have it done while a pup so this taping can be done to hold the ear up while the cartlidge in the ear is hardening. .

You have to wait til the ears are completely healed to post. Anything before that be will asking for a infection or even worse loosing part of the ear.

You have to crop the ears. It's really the whole point of the process. You can't post the ears with cropping them. :)

Ear cropping is considered mutilation, purely to make a dog look a certain way. It has no benefit to dogs and causes them nothing but pain and trauma.

No I think one week is too long. My vet and breeder said every 3 or 4 days or if they get wet???? I’ll rewatch b.c it took me one hour to post her ears by myself. Do you have any videos w one person doing it solo?

My puppy started his ear posting at 7 weeks old. I followed this method a few times, and every time making some adjustments. The issue I have is that the foam pieces keep popping out causing the ears to bend forward. I am using the 1/2 backer rod pieces.

All I can say is i hope my puppy doesn't wriggle as much because I need to do this single handed lol. I think the surface of the table might have been an issue for Drago.

Pretty late for ear cropping…always a risk it will not stand after 10 to 11 weeks of age.

no not at all. ears can be cropped at any age long as its done by a good professional. the older they are, the bigger the two main veins in the ear are, and the more blood they shoot out like jet streams, which is why the shitty vets dont want to do it. Thats a great indicator as to if you are dealing with a great vet vrs one who doesn't know half of what he should. ive seen dogs done at 2 and 3 years old. the lenght of the crop will be the main determining factor as to if the ears will stand on their own once cropped. short crops like bully dogs stand soon as cropped cause most the weight of the ear is gone therefore no longer weighing the ear down. but long crops like dobie and great dane crops likly will not stand on their own so if you have a dog requiring a long crop, you need to have it done while a pup so this taping can be done to hold the ear up while the cartlidge in the ear is hardening. .

How long ago did your puppy have his ears cropped before you posted them like this? My puppy still has stitches I don’t want the tap to pull on the stitches but I also want to start posting them ASAP.
You have to wait til the ears are completely healed to post. Anything before that be will asking for a infection or even worse loosing part of the ear.

You might want a cone to put on your Doberman. That should prevent him from getting it off

You have to crop the ears. It's really the whole point of the process. You can't post the ears with cropping them. :)

Well he shouldn't have had his ears posted right after the crop... your supposed to wait for the ears to heal first

Ear cropping is considered mutilation, purely to make a dog look a certain way. It has no benefit to dogs and causes them nothing but pain and trauma.
