The main issue with Ex Diris is its internal cooldown. It suggests not shooting it too frequently, but it also has a perk that encourages more frequent shooting, making its use somewhat confusing. I've tried the Moth build with the Arc, Void, and Strand subclasses, and the Void subclass is my favorite due to the Devour synergy. This is where Buried Bloodline comes into play with the Strand subclass, allowing you to trigger Devour and weaken elites or bosses. Additionally, the Artifact rewards you for using Ex Diris to gain multiple charges for your grenade kickstart mod and enables you to equip a primary Strand weapon to switch between Ex Diris' internal cooldown and unleash Unravel on enemies.Furthermore, having a third charge of your Moths isn't particularly relevant, so you can switch that to give your dodge the clone option, allowing you to spawn more threadlings and increase your safety while using the dodge.Regards!

I've been using mothkeepers alot, It's great with strand, especially this season, but your cooldown is so good, there are better aspects for a more well rounded build. Ex diris is great with the gauntlets. Focus the build into making tangles and shurikens and unraveling rounds. Rufus's Fury, demo and hatchling, or a really good strand weapon. Be conservative with special ammo when needed or with red bars. Be generous with your grenades. Throw them often and build for grenade regen. Don't throw both unnecessarily, but typically not keeping two fully charged. Compliment with a heavy ad clear weapon.

I think the internal cooldown + rapid fire buildup perk indicates that it’s meant to mainly chunk tough enemies like majors. Its small aoe also adds to this.

@@kelvinbradshaw8338 Yes! I really hope they reduce the internal cooldown of moths to spawn to zero. I think they haven't done it yet because of the aggressive tracking of the moths. Hopefully, they will either buff the internal cooldown or increase the speed of the moths. Either change would make the build much more enjoyable and viable

I think you’d love the amazing invisible cricket build that revolves around the Final warning exotic, the sixth coyote and enemies not being able to see you! The annoying part of threaded specter is that the turrets will focus fire on your specter if it's in range. It would be awesome if Bungie fixed that somehow. I use it for my strand assasin's cowl build, which also slaps.

7:48 for some reason rocket sidearms count as primary damage, and since the buried bloodline counts as a rocket sidearm and is exotic, it creates more ammo

I have a fairly interesting build that even i was shocked works amazingly. Super: Deadfall. Abilities: Gamblers dodge, Triple jump, Snare bomb, Scatter grenade. Aspects: Trappers ambush, Stylish executioner. Fragments: Echo of persistence, Echo of expulsion, Echo of starvation, Echo of reprisal Main weapon: Tesselation. I pair this with a rampage killing tally hammerhead and a mykels reverance or any other strand primary to take advantage of some of the extra artifact perks. Exotic armour: Orpheus Rig. Helmet mods: Special ammo finder and scout, harmonic siphon. Arms mods: 2x void loader and focusing strike. Chest mods: 2x void reserves (not needed just a preference) and 1 void resistance mod. Legs mods: void scavenger, innervation, void weapon surge. Cloak mods: Powerful attraction, Reaper, Bomber. Gameplay loop, use your heavy or primary to generate super and then when using your super, use tessalation to consume your grenade and fire on the enemies trapped in your super, almost always get your full grenade back to recharge tessalation instantly and get a MAJOR chunk of super as well. I use the fragment that reloads weapons off of grenade throws with this build. This makes it so you can mag dump without reloading during DPS.

I noticed a glitch today you may want to know about. also - CT-7567 Setup when it happens for me: Mantle of battle harmony with solar super charged(on well of rad for me), solar surge mod on legs, have solar weapon in energy and heavy(sunshot and apex), have armor charge to proc the leg surges, get a kill with solar weapon to proc battle harmony surge x4 After that, if you switch between solar weapons(sunshot and apex for me), the 10 second timer for the surge x4 will refresh every time you swap weapons as long as you still have armor charge. I use this trick between waves in onslaught to keep the 4x boost to start the next wave and to keep the buff up when I use my super at the bosses(get a solar weapon kill before popping well). I don't know how this works on other subclasses and weapons as I don't have much time to test things.

I adore mothekeepers. Fav exotic. I typically use: -verglas curve the exotic bow -anything else u want, i use the slammer with eager edge for skating but it's up 2 u -stasis -whisper of shards (to have like 10 second grenade cooldowns on grenades) -conduction, chains, bonds and refraction -shatterdive & grim harvest mods don't matter too much but i like to run 3 firepowers so i can throw all my moths at once get elims with bow (at least 2) the spawn the stasis crystals and shatter them. WoS can last up to 10s with each crystal giving 5s. If u have 100 discipline u get ur greande back on 2 crystals

I have been glued to this build since Cross put out a vid on it. You 100% have to use the Rufus with it, the threadlings hit hard and also proc Demo so you got constant orb generations and grenade energy for max moth spam

I always double special bloodline. It has enough reserves to basically function as a primary. Run scatter signal for bigger bois and to tack on unravel rounds.

Fun fact: If you are on a Arc subclass you can make your Arc-Moths will stun both Unstoppable Champions AND Overload as well because you can make them cause Jolt. So... radiant with current season artifact, or a Shield Champion mod, you have all 3 champions covered requiring only 0-1 gun-based champion mods. :)

I use this build with Fatebinger or a Kinetic Tremors primary and I swap Widows Silk for Threaded Specter (i like having an "Oh shit" button). Use Buried Bloodline to get devourer, then swap to your primary for add clear. Use Buried Bloodline and a machine gun for elites and majors. This build is great for team survivability and utility.

Alr I may have cooked a build that uses arc hunter's tempest strike with lucky raspberry, IK it's crazy but it really surprised me with how strong it was. I'm just not sure how well it'd do in endgame content but from wave 1 to 50 in regular onslaught it made every wave look like a joke. I came out on top with 813 kills and 260 orbs created it does some solid boss dmg but really shines with its ability uptime and its ad clear potential. If I ever get to try it out in legend onslaught and it works out, I'll send a dim link to the build.

You can also choose severing burst from fragments in subclass and any weapon will emit a severing burst ! Does not need to be a strand weapon .

I’ve got a warlock version of this going. Mindspun + Wanderer. Transmutation. Warding. Fury. Generation. Perpetualis/Rufus/Round Robin + Buried Bloodline + Hammerhead (or a rocket - Crux / Apex) w/ necrotic grips. 20-100-70-60-20-70 stat distribution. I’m sure you can get better stats than me 🤷 Shackle or Grapple grenade. I only use the grapple for not serious content. It’s actually insane how much poison spreads on that melee combo.

i made a arc hunter build for onslaught and i got to say its quite good for dps, ad clear, and all around. super: gathering storm aspects: flow state, tempest strike fragments: amplitude, discharge, instinct, ions abilities: gamblers dodge, combination blow, arc bolt grenade star eater scales, and trinity ghoul are must haves, i like the hullaboo heavy grenade launcher with volt shot and chain reaction. armor mods (recovery and resilience is good): head: harmonic siphon, as many as you want. gauntlets: 2x impact induction, heavy handed chest: any resistance mods, i like charged up legs (star eater scales): 2x arc weapon surge, recuperation cloak: reaper, utility kickstart, powerful attraction. (when using this you want to make sure your lightning rod on your trinity ghoul is always ready, and just have fun running around making hundreds of orbs and using your super every minute, also since orbs are your only healing make sure your always making orbs, play aggressive, use tempest strike a lot to, it helps. i like to use the tempest strike on a hoard of enemies when im low on health so heavy handed makes an orb and heals me after i dodge.) please let me know what i can improve on!

The event that you did not find out the synergy from 14:14 when moth keepers wraps are equipped the detonation from Ex Dires Will actually spawn a second moth. It can be a little hard to see amongst the chaos. But it does. Lol

Clones had a relatively easy time aiming as their visor had a wide range of view, while stormtroopers had a very limited range of view as their visors were very small leading to why they couldnt hit the broadside of a barn

I literally mixed the buried bloodlines with warlock threadlings build. Start devour, swap to hatchling rufus, tangles make threadlings, super makes threadlings, rift makes threadlings, grapple makes threadlings, just go nuts while threadlings kill others and reset devour as well as heal

Build Idea: Stasis Titan Weapons: Verglas Curve Choice of solar special (I personally used the Eremite and Explosive Personality, but a good Retraced Path or Acacia’s Dejection would probably work well) Chain of Command Exotic Armor: Cadmus Ridge Lance Cap Barricade: Rally Barricade Grenade: Glacier Grenade Aspects: Tectonic Harvest Diamond Lance Fragments: Fissures Shards Chains Rending (I occasionally swap for Bonds or Conduction) Rime Description: This build is centered around creating as many stasis crystals as possible and maximizing glacier grenade up time whilst also keeping up survivability with Whispers of Chains and Rime and taking advantage of the strength of Diamond Lance. Also make sure to take advantage of all of the Stasis artifact mods as well as the solar weapon ones.

If you wanted to make as many crystals as possible hoarfrost-z is far better, plus no over shield leads to very low survival ability on an aggressive subclass. If you want a better build just go to aztecross and look at his stasis titan build, ran several full legend onslaught runs with it + diamond lance is ass so gl using it outside of a patrol

Build idea: Lucky Div Subclass: Strand hunter Primary weapon: Wardens law- preferably fourth times the charm and vorpal Secondary weapon: Divinity Heavy weapon: Machine gun or linear fusion rifle Exotic armor: Lucky pants Aspects: Threaded Spector and whirling maelstrom Fragments: Binding, continuity, generation and warding Grenade: Shackle grenade Armor mods: Slot any armor mods of your preference This hunter build is based around burst of dps when needed, along with debuffing higher tier enemies and bosses. Ad clear is great when paired with a machine gun like Fixed Odds but use whatever you'd like. I use divinity, once I use my lucky pants damage buff. This build is i made for onslaught, however i found good success in other content as well like gms. The main purpose for divinity in onslaught is for quick work of the tormentors, especially if your team has precision based weapons. I hope you try this build out and it works for you like it did for me, thank you!

Omg Mac!! Our 3rd member of our fireteam is STILL trying to get the crossbow drop!! RnG HATES him. So feel your pain!! Mmm, so I enjoy the Moth GL, but as a build point, for higher tier content it would be nice to have devour for the health gain, but for all content doesn't devour grant grenade recharge? Stack that on top of the strand recharge with the demo auto and you should basically have a nade at all times?

@Mactics, the point of devour is to get more grenade energy on kills so you can use the moths more frequently.
It is wild to me how often he misses things like this.

The main issue with Ex Diris is its internal cooldown. It suggests not shooting it too frequently, but it also has a perk that encourages more frequent shooting, making its use somewhat confusing. I've tried the Moth build with the Arc, Void, and Strand subclasses, and the Void subclass is my favorite due to the Devour synergy. This is where Buried Bloodline comes into play with the Strand subclass, allowing you to trigger Devour and weaken elites or bosses. Additionally, the Artifact rewards you for using Ex Diris to gain multiple charges for your grenade kickstart mod and enables you to equip a primary Strand weapon to switch between Ex Diris' internal cooldown and unleash Unravel on enemies.Furthermore, having a third charge of your Moths isn't particularly relevant, so you can switch that to give your dodge the clone option, allowing you to spawn more threadlings and increase your safety while using the dodge.Regards!
I've been using mothkeepers alot, It's great with strand, especially this season, but your cooldown is so good, there are better aspects for a more well rounded build. Ex diris is great with the gauntlets. Focus the build into making tangles and shurikens and unraveling rounds. Rufus's Fury, demo and hatchling, or a really good strand weapon. Be conservative with special ammo when needed or with red bars. Be generous with your grenades. Throw them often and build for grenade regen. Don't throw both unnecessarily, but typically not keeping two fully charged. Compliment with a heavy ad clear weapon.
Ex Diris is so underrated though.. it bullies large enemies and groups.
I think the internal cooldown + rapid fire buildup perk indicates that it’s meant to mainly chunk tough enemies like majors. Its small aoe also adds to this.
@@kelvinbradshaw8338 Yes! I really hope they reduce the internal cooldown of moths to spawn to zero. I think they haven't done it yet because of the aggressive tracking of the moths. Hopefully, they will either buff the internal cooldown or increase the speed of the moths. Either change would make the build much more enjoyable and viable

The annoying part of threaded specter is that the turrets will focus fire on your specter if it's in range. It would be awesome if Bungie fixed that somehow. I use it for my strand assasin's cowl build, which also slaps.

7:48 for some reason rocket sidearms count as primary damage, and since the buried bloodline counts as a rocket sidearm and is exotic, it creates more ammo

I have a fairly interesting build that even i was shocked works amazingly. Super: Deadfall. Abilities: Gamblers dodge, Triple jump, Snare bomb, Scatter grenade. Aspects: Trappers ambush, Stylish executioner. Fragments: Echo of persistence, Echo of expulsion, Echo of starvation, Echo of reprisal Main weapon: Tesselation. I pair this with a rampage killing tally hammerhead and a mykels reverance or any other strand primary to take advantage of some of the extra artifact perks. Exotic armour: Orpheus Rig. Helmet mods: Special ammo finder and scout, harmonic siphon. Arms mods: 2x void loader and focusing strike. Chest mods: 2x void reserves (not needed just a preference) and 1 void resistance mod. Legs mods: void scavenger, innervation, void weapon surge. Cloak mods: Powerful attraction, Reaper, Bomber. Gameplay loop, use your heavy or primary to generate super and then when using your super, use tessalation to consume your grenade and fire on the enemies trapped in your super, almost always get your full grenade back to recharge tessalation instantly and get a MAJOR chunk of super as well. Had 3 back to back supers in one round using this and it hits like a truck to boot. Brought to you by Pete, Eater of the elderly#1501
I use the fragment that reloads weapons off of grenade throws with this build. This makes it so you can mag dump without reloading during DPS.
I noticed a glitch today you may want to know about. also - CT-7567 Setup when it happens for me: Mantle of battle harmony with solar super charged(on well of rad for me), solar surge mod on legs, have solar weapon in energy and heavy(sunshot and apex), have armor charge to proc the leg surges, get a kill with solar weapon to proc battle harmony surge x4 After that, if you switch between solar weapons(sunshot and apex for me), the 10 second timer for the surge x4 will refresh every time you swap weapons as long as you still have armor charge. I use this trick between waves in onslaught to keep the 4x boost to start the next wave and to keep the buff up when I use my super at the bosses(get a solar weapon kill before popping well). I don't know how this works on other subclasses and weapons as I don't have much time to test things.
I adore mothekeepers. Fav exotic. I typically use: -verglas curve the exotic bow -anything else u want, i use the slammer with eager edge for skating but it's up 2 u -stasis -whisper of shards (to have like 10 second grenade cooldowns on grenades) -conduction, chains, bonds and refraction -shatterdive & grim harvest mods don't matter too much but i like to run 3 firepowers so i can throw all my moths at once get elims with bow (at least 2) the spawn the stasis crystals and shatter them. WoS can last up to 10s with each crystal giving 5s. If u have 100 discipline u get ur greande back on 2 crystals
* also for verglas curve using ur bow to shatter the crystals alows u to get more stasis arrows
Dude, this build is legit. My mobility is nonexistent so I swapped Refrac for Torment to lean more in grenades. A- just gotta figure out survivability on my end.

I have been glued to this build since Cross put out a vid on it. You 100% have to use the Rufus with it, the threadlings hit hard and also proc Demo so you got constant orb generations and grenade energy for max moth spam

I always double special bloodline. It has enough reserves to basically function as a primary. Run scatter signal for bigger bois and to tack on unravel rounds.
Buried bloodline is becoming one of my favourite exotics in the whole game! It’s ammo economy is amazing and it works so well on almost any build
Fun fact: If you are on a Arc subclass you can make your Arc-Moths will stun both Unstoppable Champions AND Overload as well because you can make them cause Jolt. So... radiant with current season artifact, or a Shield Champion mod, you have all 3 champions covered requiring only 0-1 gun-based champion mods. :)
i submited a similar build a while back and tbh after using it and screwing with my build a bit, mothkeepers actually surprised me alot it still needs some love imo but it has alot more of a use case than i thought and its also just quite fun

So many build to choose from on hunter. I running two of your builds currently and they performed extremely well in the onslaught.
I think this is why I've been enjoying hunter a lot more recently. Feels like they have more variety in terms of builds/flexibility and still feeling effective/viable.
I use this build with Fatebinger or a Kinetic Tremors primary and I swap Widows Silk for Threaded Specter (i like having an "Oh shit" button). Use Buried Bloodline to get devourer, then swap to your primary for add clear. Use Buried Bloodline and a machine gun for elites and majors. This build is great for team survivability and utility.

Alr I may have cooked a build that uses arc hunter's tempest strike with lucky raspberry, IK it's crazy but it really surprised me with how strong it was. I'm just not sure how well it'd do in endgame content but from wave 1 to 50 in regular onslaught it made every wave look like a joke. I came out on top with 813 kills and 260 orbs created it does some solid boss dmg but really shines with its ability uptime and its ad clear potential. If I ever get to try it out in legend onslaught and it works out, I'll send a dim link to the build.

It’s a great auto rifle that synergises amazingly with most strand builds, but the gun itself feels great to use. It beams and shreds all in one.

You can also choose severing burst from fragments in subclass and any weapon will emit a severing burst ! Does not need to be a strand weapon .

I’ve got a warlock version of this going. Mindspun + Wanderer. Transmutation. Warding. Fury. Generation. Perpetualis/Rufus/Round Robin + Buried Bloodline + Hammerhead (or a rocket - Crux / Apex) w/ necrotic grips. 20-100-70-60-20-70 stat distribution. I’m sure you can get better stats than me 🤷 Shackle or Grapple grenade. I only use the grapple for not serious content. It’s actually insane how much poison spreads on that melee combo.

Think about using Indebted Kindness with Permeability to change it to a strand weapon on dodge. Pretty interesting.
i made a arc hunter build for onslaught and i got to say its quite good for dps, ad clear, and all around. super: gathering storm aspects: flow state, tempest strike fragments: amplitude, discharge, instinct, ions abilities: gamblers dodge, combination blow, arc bolt grenade star eater scales, and trinity ghoul are must haves, i like the hullaboo heavy grenade launcher with volt shot and chain reaction. armor mods (recovery and resilience is good): head: harmonic siphon, as many as you want. gauntlets: 2x impact induction, heavy handed chest: any resistance mods, i like charged up legs (star eater scales): 2x arc weapon surge, recuperation cloak: reaper, utility kickstart, powerful attraction. (when using this you want to make sure your lightning rod on your trinity ghoul is always ready, and just have fun running around making hundreds of orbs and using your super every minute, also since orbs are your only healing make sure your always making orbs, play aggressive, use tempest strike a lot to, it helps. i like to use the tempest strike on a hoard of enemies when im low on health so heavy handed makes an orb and heals me after i dodge.) please let me know what i can improve on!
I tried it out. It’s not that bad. Usually I’m not an arc main but the build surprised me. Definitely a really good arc build.
I paired a build similar to this with the strand sidearm and grenade launcher from RON both with paracausal affinity. It’s INSANE!!!

This really is a fantastic build. I've been mostly playing a warlock threadling build, but this is right up there. And yeah, buried bloodline f*cks HARD.
The event that you did not find out the synergy from 14:14 when moth keepers wraps are equipped the detonation from Ex Dires Will actually spawn a second moth. It can be a little hard to see amongst the chaos. But it does. Lol

The best thing about Mactics' build vids isn't new builds (tho they're great). It's that it's way easier to send blueberries here than explain why their "special and unique" double-primary + Darci build is destroying your soul.
I've been running a similar build, enjoying running the sidearm / heavy GL from RoN for a passive damage boost.
BUT replacing the buried bloodline with the hive boomer exotic is straight synergy.
I saw the original title, and thought it was a build so powerful that KZhead couldn't keep up 😂
Buried Bloodline is my favorite gun, full stop. Also I feel like 3 moths is overkill. Add on the dodge dummy, then you have so many toys it's crazy.
@mactics I've always wondered, does the Discipline stat do anything with Mothkeepers? Since it overrides your grenade cool down?
Clones had a relatively easy time aiming as their visor had a wide range of view, while stormtroopers had a very limited range of view as their visors were very small leading to why they couldnt hit the broadside of a barn
I literally mixed the buried bloodlines with warlock threadlings build. Start devour, swap to hatchling rufus, tangles make threadlings, super makes threadlings, rift makes threadlings, grapple makes threadlings, just go nuts while threadlings kill others and reset devour as well as heal
Build idea: the snapper. Exotic: claws of ahamkara, Solar warlock Well of radiance Phoenix dive Optional glide, Incinerator snap Firebolt grenade Aspects: Touch of flame Heat rises Fragments: Eruption, char, ashes, searing, Gun: sunshot Helmet: hands on x2 and ashes to assets Gloves: momentum transfer, impact induction, Melee kickstart Chest: optional resists Legs: invigoration, innervation, stacks on stacks, Class item: outreach, bomber, utility kickstart, Notes: this build is centered around snapping enemies to death over and over. activate heat rises then start using incinerator snap and if low on hp use phoenix dive, if you run out of melee kill some enemies in the air with heat rises, Enjoy 😊
@mactics how many runs of warlords did you take you to get the exotic? I am on 47 and still have not seen it drop
Felt the bad luck on Buried Bloodline... took me 53 clears for it to drop. I've got 54 total clears. 54th run was for the catalyst, and I haven't been back in Warlords since! 😅😅😅
Been using a build like this for 2 weeks. It’s nutty. I don’t have Rufus Fury so I farmed out a Rewind Rounds, Hatchling Old Sterling. I destroy everything
Build Idea: Stasis Titan Weapons: Verglas Curve Choice of solar special (I personally used the Eremite and Explosive Personality, but a good Retraced Path or Acacia’s Dejection would probably work well) Chain of Command Exotic Armor: Cadmus Ridge Lance Cap Barricade: Rally Barricade Grenade: Glacier Grenade Aspects: Tectonic Harvest Diamond Lance Fragments: Fissures Shards Chains Rending (I occasionally swap for Bonds or Conduction) Rime Description: This build is centered around creating as many stasis crystals as possible and maximizing glacier grenade up time whilst also keeping up survivability with Whispers of Chains and Rime and taking advantage of the strength of Diamond Lance. Also make sure to take advantage of all of the Stasis artifact mods as well as the solar weapon ones.
If you wanted to make as many crystals as possible hoarfrost-z is far better, plus no over shield leads to very low survival ability on an aggressive subclass. If you want a better build just go to aztecross and look at his stasis titan build, ran several full legend onslaught runs with it + diamond lance is ass so gl using it outside of a patrol

Ad clear is great when paired with a machine gun like Fixed Odds but use whatever you'd like. I use divinity, once I use my lucky pants damage buff. This build is i made for onslaught, however i found good success in other content as well like gms. The main purpose for divinity in onslaught is for quick work of the tormentors, especially if your team has precision based weapons. I hope you try this build out and it works for you like it did for me, thank you!
Whilst devour is active it generates grenade energy on kill as well, you're meant to proc devour and spam nades
Picture this: D3 launches and we are able to play as a cabal or eliksni. The traveler has given them the light because of their feats of bravery alongside humanity against the witness. D3 leans into the mmo rpg concept by giving each playable species certain passive and non-passive abilities. You can play as any combination of human/cabal/eliksni and hunter/warlock/titan
go Mykels in kinetic slot and switch mothkeepers to mechaneers. the 100% buff on the bloodline is very sweet

You finally got Buried Bloodline! I love this build, but Aeon Swift for 40% debuff on Champions and some Mini Bosses OR Orpheus for 400+ orbs are INSANE

Omg Mac!! Our 3rd member of our fireteam is STILL trying to get the crossbow drop!! RnG HATES him. So feel your pain!! Mmm, so I enjoy the Moth GL, but as a build point, for higher tier content it would be nice to have devour for the health gain, but for all content doesn't devour grant grenade recharge? Stack that on top of the strand recharge with the demo auto and you should basically have a nade at all times?

Great build, I think I would just change wardens to scatter signal for the synergy with strand.
I went with riptide to cover all champion types.
I think the extra moth with ex diris comes from the catalyst but not 100%
frenzy perk would have made ur wardens law so good with the reloads
this build also goes crazy with quicksilver, even after its nerfs. (for anyone who doesn't have bloodline yet) also for Mactics, 7567 buddy. ;)
With how fast you get your grenade back, I'd go for the threaded spectre over windows silk
Played Warlord's Ruin for the first time yesterday and got Buried Bloodline to drop. Dude we were playing with got it too but he was said he lost count on the clears he's done. LOL! This game's RNG is nuts.

Dude try round robin with subsistence and hatchling the threadlings from robin trigger subsistence. I hardly ever have to reload and I get so many orbs.
