  • Diesel and manual trans in the defender allowed it to traverse the obstacles more smoothly. Driver knew what he was doing as well. Driver of the 80 Series was killing me with that constant surging of the throttle. Horrible throttle control if you ask me. I can drive my 80 series much smoother than that. Both are very capable vehicles. Defender looked to have a bit better flex.

    • A very date 'bar stool' reiteration of a fable. Defenders are not unreliable, I have 3 for a reason. It's the same copy/paste nonsense on every thread. A LC is an SUV, remember that, the Defender is a utility truck used by military forces worldwide for a reason. Both capable, but the LC isn't some magical machine that never breaks down - try owning one.

  • Well they both did well ,but i hate to say it .The Landy to me looks fairly stock apart from a lift and tires and maybe some LR accessories ,but unfortunately the 80 series is not an 80 series.Firstly it sounds like a V8 which they never came out with plus about a 6" lift and more than likely different ratio diffs it been modded to buggary !

    @chaquisa1@chaquisa14 жыл бұрын
    • Not a v8 and not 6inch lift and stock gears. Just a little old petrol motor 1fzfe. Just 35 in tyres and 4inch suspension set up for towing. And a little something added to the motor to help it breath. Just have a look at the bottom of the front bar will give you a nice big hint.

    • @@offroad4x462 Righto ,but looks more than 4" lift and pretty fancy looking at that ,but hey did well mate !

      @chaquisa1@chaquisa14 жыл бұрын
    • Funny sounding v8. The 80 has a petrol straight 6 with a angry turbocharger attached under the bonnet. And suspension wise was a hand picked kit to optimise and obtain the benefits of a 4”lift. Front and rear differentials are factory and along with the trans gears are factory also. Gotta be a good driver when people think your car is modded more then what it is👌👌👌
