Credit to Sheff Utd for putting this out - nine and a half minutes of agony and humiliation for the club. Could perhaps have renamed it 'Extended Lowlights' however.

Don't worry, Newcastle can do this to any team on their day, today was one of those days. They are unplayable when they're in the zone, as Spurs found out last season (& Sheff Wed 20 odd years ago :p). I remember the stuffing of Man-U 5-0 in the late nineties as well as a similar 7-1 against Spurs. And hey, it could have been worse if not for some moments of good goalkeeping and a bit of suspect refereeing (re the blatant penalty on Gordon).
The blades looked good running on to the pitch, and then the game started.
Did you really have to do them dirty like that? Haha
Fair play to Sheffield United. You’ll come out better for it and this Newcastle fan is rooting for you to stay up.

Stop blaming managers when they ain’t the ones kicking the ball. They were completely off form and obviously getting more frustrated as the match went on.

You clearly didn't watch the match, first 10 minutes of the game made it look to be an interesting match up. If 3 dodgy decisions didn't ruin what couldve been a better contested match

The "follow through" was there, it just wasn't a foul that's why you can't see it I wish they included your penalty appeal because I was sat right infront of it and it was typical Gordon throwing himself to the floor Not an excuse on the result but the ref was on one teams side that game, and it wasn't ours

@dc6502 it's nice of you to believe that but it's clearly not true, he gave Maddison everything until he realised he was diving and didn't award a pen for an Oscar worthy preformance. Thankfully Hecky had a meeting with Howard Webb to discuss the disgusting decisions agaisnt us recently, and we can all see how that's turned out Basically don't speak up when the officials are agaisnt you

Respect for posting this video Sheffield United. Your time will come again! BTW I looked at the first goal at 1/4 speed, Gordon accidently skimmed the top of the ball with his hand. Handball, no goal.
You haven't got a clue about the ruling on handballs that came in two years ago, have you? If the arm is in a natural position when hit, it's ball to hand. The only time it will be penalised is if the player who it hit happens to, scores.

The 'foul' (actually a tackle) that led to the Newcastle 3rd goal from resultant free-kick wasn't even shown on Sky New's Highlights .... embarrassing refereeing. Suckered in by feigning injury and Trippier moaning at the ref. Don't get me wrong, we were pitiful but early goals make a big difference to the outcomes of games.

agreed, the players' performance was a disgrace in the end - I don't know if it is the record ever home loss or all time worst loss home or away, but those 3 opening goals knocked the stuffing out of SUFC and they were all down to very dubious refereeing decisions. I hate the way matches in the Prem are refereed ... and I don't know how old you are Tony or John, but if a team was being outclassed they at least used to have the option of a physical fightback on the pitch, that is now out of the question. It wasn't out of play and the handball wasn't deliberate (because he didn't score himself that matters apparently) The rule itself is dubious but that's a different point. The 2nd, he follows through with his challenege two footed. Harsh yellow maybe but defo a foul. Can't remember the third though. Do you think Gordon should have had a penalty or do you think that was the right decision?

I didn't watch the whole game. But by the highlights the outcome could've been a lot different if the ref gave that hand ball on the first goal and the foul on the third. I know Newcastle is superior and would've won, but if it was 1x0 at halftime, they probably wouldn't put 5 more goals on the second half.
