Matias entrena en Mexico con Mexicanos, tiene un estilo interesante de pelea mexicana y boxeo boricua. Es un orgullo tanto para PR cm para Mexico, creo q tiene ambos paises cm base de fanaticos y apoyo, ya veran cm lo comienzan a trepar y a hacer $ por eso. Si sigue asi llegara lejos pero q suba un poco mas las manos por si a caso.

@@TM--87 he mistakenly went out to bang with Matias started fast for ponce but ended fast as well😂 gigantic mistake he made trying to bang with Matias I knew by the 2nd round Matias would stop him in round 5 or 6 Matias also starts slow so ponce coming out firing gave him a false sense of confidence was funny watching him stand up in the corner only to get stopped in between round 5 and 6 round he learned his lesson the hard way 🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷
Hawkins came to do what most fighters do in today's boxing: jab, move around, shoulder roll, piddy pad punches, play tag. Matias comes forward, gets in your space at punching range and puts you uncomfortable, break you down and destroy you. Like Chavez, Golokvin, Joe Frazier and others.
Very well put. He's a smothering, punishing pressure fighter just like those other legends you just named: and JUST like them, his punches are hard enough to break bones and make his opponents really wonder what the HELL they were thinking when they decided to get in there with an absolute animal.

Matias will demolish your Boxing spirit round by round, no question about that, he can cause a serious brain damage to any one who tries to step inside the ring with him! He never goes backwards !
Matias is good but if he fights with his hands down against the guys with power he's gonna get knocked out. He got hurt in his last fight. That fight had crazy back fourth punching. He threw so many punches it was amazing. And the other guy threw almost as much as him also. Everyone should watch it. If Matias had defense he would be 10x scarier. He needs to stop taking too many unnecessary hits for having his hands down.
It might seem reckless but he’s aware and sees the shots coming…which is why he’s taking some mustard off partially blocking or rolling the shots by inches….he’s still strategically inviting the opponent to gas out because he’s giving them a false sense of success in order for them to open their guard and continue leaving themselves open …..his awareness is simply ahead of his opponents …Matias is an intuitive fighter poise in that phone booth….but as competition gets better, he will definitely have to appreciate more defense to pace his fight.

See the reason why Matias after the bell has rung keeps looking at his opponent is to see the condition they are in on how much damage he's cause which means his work is working....his opponent looks back at Matias as if Matias is trying to keep staring him down or cause intimidation but if you hear his corner in Spanish it's part of their tactics and techniques and analysis so then for the next up coming rounds they keep applying more pressure until they break him down
