  • Probably one the best bows I've ever seen made from scratch and certainly the best arrow I've ever seen made from scratch.

    • Humans are much more intelligent than you think. It's the civilized ones who are dumb: relying on machines, buying fake food from the store, and believing all kind of lies from a rock that glows.

    • They are really impressive indeed, they certainly have some ingenuity. The only thing I’m wondering is if you hunt with poisoned arrows, won’t that carry over to whatever you’re shooting at? (and eventually eating)

    • Not all Africans are tribal. I really wish western nations would stop teaching their people ignorance. Not every dark skin person is tribal. Should it be taught that every white skin person is a colonizer? Every continent including Europe has tribal people, but not all people on every continent is tribal.

    • I guess its an argument over the word survival. Might have been better stated as "hunting skills" but then youtube would restrict the views due to the word hunting. As far as the tip goes. If its not barbed then the arrow may simply fall out whilst the prey is running and you never find you arrow. Your going to eat the animal anyway (I assume) so you can simply cut the surrounding flesh and remove the arrow. I do agree though that its certainly not a "survival arrow head"

You dont see obesity and heroin addicts in this tribe like we have in the west. I know their lifespan tends to better shorter but I would argue for those years they live a healthier more sustainable life. I love how they use the materials around them for their housing and don't overharvest their natural resources. Us in the west would have taken ownership of those resources and sold them until nothing is left.

  • Making a bow isn’t as hard as one would think, lots of stuff that’s flexible enough to make one. It’s the arrow that isn’t so easy to make fly straight. Takes practice to straighten shafts and fletch a vain with a proper twist.

Obviously not all of them are but it looks like a lot of them are. Theres a lot of marketing around perfect "bush knives" and in the past iv always kind of liked using the thin kitchen knives that I find laying around. It would be pretty cool to know their doing what they do best with standard kitchen knives.
