  • If you need a little more weatherproofing, a cheap bottle of silicone will do wonders if you slap a little bit on top of the exposed screws (like on the hinge for the hatch) That is how they weatherproof things like sunroofs in metal buildings and such. Loving this vid! I worked at a plastic manufacturing plant right out of highschool, this is giving me flashbacks!

  • when I built my casting deck, I used metal studs,,,and 1/2" PVC sheeting to lower the weight and I didnt have to carpet it , so even still less weight
