The judging literally made zero sense here. Strong does a frontflip no hander, hands of quickly and under rotates, takes the lead... Adelberg does the same trick, longer hands off and doesn't under rotate... takes second? Then Strong does it even worse and gets more points!? Then Rob throws it down as hard as he can, full extension and hands off for about as long as you can... and still they put him in second by .33. The favouritism is obvious.
It makes no sense.
Yup judges are a bunch of 🤡
Adelberg got robbed bad, his fronty was miles better executed, picture perfect
I don't understand either robs was way smoother
Adelburgs a fronty tuck, Jacko's is a Front no hander (no tuck) which hasn't been done before.

Not all heroes wear capes!
Saving us from hard R announcers 😮
its honestly a kind of a bummer not to see any real innovation in tricks at xgames.. not to take anything away from these guys, the tricks they're doing are insane, i just always looked foward to seeing the new tricks the riders have been working on all year
It's not a competition anymore. It's a show.
I agree. I remember watching Moto X best trick growing up and it was always INSANE people doing the craziest stuff ever now it just seems like the same stuff every year
Where do they go from here? Its evolved so much in the last 20 years or whatever, it is challenging to even think of things to do anymore
Early 2000s was the best
At least in the 2000s everything was kind of new & everyone threw down knowing they might die. Now it’s kinda watered down & the extension is looking like deegan.
Judging has been off this whole xgames, Strong himself seemed surprised he won. Adelbergs second run had big extension, hands off for a long duration and a buttery smooth landing. It would be interesting to see their judging criteria as it didn't seem to match with what the judges were stating
Jackson comes out of his tuck to throw the hands in the air along with his head which makes it wayyyyyy more difficult. Watch Robs run again he stays tucked in the flip the whole time. Sorry but Strong WINS!!
watching this as a kid used to be insane now its like the same thing every year
I fully agree bro...i remember kyle loza going for the bike flip....the games are not what they use to be sadly
@@Bucky-hendersen-troutguy mfers were doing 360s off the bike or like a superman corkscrew like i just feel like they were more willing to go for greatness rather than getting hurt and losing sponsor money. now its like heres the front flip ive done 1000 times
@@Bucky-hendersen-troutguy i remember seeing pastrana live do the double back and it was like he didnt know if he was gonna land it or not. nowadays they know theyre gonna land and its down to a science. its impressive just not exciting at all
@@paydn202 exactly how i feel...front flips are cool but idk man..id rsther see a 360 lol
@@Bucky-hendersen-troutguy remember when brian deegan tried the first 360 in competition lol that was a huge moment
I remember watching Carey Hart do the first backflip (in competition) at the Gravity Games.. crazy what they pull off these days. Definitely miss the vibe of old school Moto-X/Supercross though!
time flies
@@lugabull It does. I was just a kid when it happened, but the X-Games/Gravity Games in the early 2000s were so much fun to watch.
@@clonedavenger absolutely agree and back in times were much supported and popular than now
It crazy how mundane flips are now....even with tricks while doing them. You can't win without flips now
@@clonedavengeris that when MotoX type riding first started? I feel like there is only so many firsts that can happen on a dirt bike without landing on an air pad.
that comora backflip from Adam was cool af. Awesome to see you still flying Adam !
Rob is stollen gold 😢, more cleaner than strong
Yup. Once again
nope the untucked no hander adds an insane amount of technical difficulty compared to tucked. its also never been done before. jacko deserved it
@@A7XfoREVer531 Too bad his he under rotated every flip and was off axis on his takeoffs - judging was a joke
I can see both sides. One tucked hard, the other didn't but was way smoother and had his hands off longer. Frankly, the no tuck doesn't really do anything for the viewer but whatever, it's a dead heat I guess.
Really thrilling experience, congratulations to all wonderful participants 👌
Tbh I think it’s time to add the new ramps to x games. There really hasn’t been much progression here recently where we’re seeing triple flips and front flip combos at nitro circus.
I feel Rob did it better
I agree, cleaner and hands off longer. totally better
nope the untucked no hander adds an insane amount of technical difficulty compared to tucked. its also never been done before. jacko deserved it
@@A7XfoREVer531 Blink and you wouldn't have even seen it
XGames channel, thank you so much for giving us free live stream coverage of all the events!
The best judges in the galaxy all of time forever ever ever ever ever🎉
I love freestyle motocross it’s dear to my❤
Cool always exciting to see all 3 competitors going at it.
🤣🤣🤣
Why hasn't Rinaldo been in the past couple of X Games? That guy brought the best trick competition to a whole new level with the stuff he was attempting.
Am I the only one who preferred the double backflip combo? I thought that was way better then all the front flips!
Tome pages my hero of tricks
Insanely talented and crazy but it was also literally a battle between front flip no handers and double backflip combos. I actually like the backflip bar hops more.
This is so crazy to watch. These guys are so good now it blows my mind.
I would’ve have Rob 1st Bink 2nd Josh 3rd. Awesome to see the Aussie’s killing it. Pat Bowden should be there to.
Nice win Jacko with the front flip no hander out look extension (untucked)!! got you over the line much love from Australia cheers
Super cool 👍🏻👍🏻😎
Really cool
Thanks X Games Japan for the rad time 🤘🏽
Robs flip was nicer but i guess whoever did it first got it.
robs looked better but jackos trick was different. being untucked is way more difficult and has never been done before.
Xgames your judges destroyed this comp, repair this for July please
I saw Rob Adelberg few weeks ago in Mexico and surprised me with his front flip 👏👏
How does a (under-rotated) no-hand front flip beat a perfect 1-foot/1-hand double back flip?
Taka and twitch coming and riding with me would be a dream come truuu!!!!🤙
Rob adelberg got robbed😢
no jackos trick is way more difficult being untucked and has never been done before
Judging is always weird in these contests. Front flip wins again lol.
Because double backflips combos were the simplest and there was no bodyvarial.
Nice jump bro👍👍🇵🇭🇵🇭
Make Moto Best Trick Great Again!!!
My first time watching motorsports and I kinda felt like that first trick that japanese guy did by completely letting go of the cycle and backflipping was definitely the coolest. I saw that the guys who came in first and second were looking at their bikes while doing the trick so that was probably harder but tbh not very cool looking.
Please start a new rule in best trick that no previous winning tricks can be used cause 7 straight years of seeing double backflip no handers and front flip no handers is getting old
It's hard to watch anymore. I mean, I'm not taking it for granted that we're actually seeing all these fronts & double backs - but christ does it get boring. When FMX is literally down to slowmo frame by frame replays to decide by 1/3rd of a point... I mean, it used to be obvious who won best trick before, because no one was doing the same thing, and a few people were brining actual INNOVATION.
Openworld and Freestyle and MonsterTrucks for Games 💖
Do they in 1st gear along the jump?
what is psyleum husk for 200 that you can buy at your local GNC for $10?
YO XGAMES. WHERE IS THE BMX DIRT? i dont see it. did you really cut it out?
This is terrifying but so cool
Wasn't it last year that blink was head to head doing the triple flip end it was amazing or did I make that up. Awesome
I miss when best trick was about innovation. It's just been nothing but front flips and double backflips year in and year out. What happened to wanting to push the sport? Why isn't x games including new gen ramps like nitro world games that would probably help alot.
Yeah, but some of the raiders (in best trick competition) are doing causal single backflip combos like 15 years ago (in the regular Moto X ride). That's more embarrassing. But I agree, I miss innovation too. That means I miss Pastrana and Pages.
@@Misho-182 don't forget David Rinaldo the past couple years he had came out and done some new stuff that was pretty wild too
ADAM JONES is my hero 🤘
9:18 best trick.
Fan turnout is depressing.I met Adam Jones and Cowboy Kenny in 07 in Billings. Jones just doesn’t age
Adelberg definately was 1st. His Frontflip no hander was held longer smoother and a perfect landing. Jackos trick was to nervous
Да, два раза, обе попытки.
que looookooo 😵
I haven't watched this yet, but my predictions: Jones - dead body backflip Taka - rock solid backflip Adelberg - front flip no hander (gold) Sheeny - double back nac nac (bronze) Jaco - front flip no hander (silver) Bink - double backflip + small variation Everybody else - backflip Indian air Let's see how close I am
Looool a little off but not much. I miss the days when people brought something new and tried different tricks on each run. FMX is so stale even the announcers sound bored. This has to be the only X Games discipline where the same trick wins gold like 7 years in a row.
whoa
Yeah but Rob's front flip no hander landing was much smoother.
Monster energy won this, both rob and jacko had the same trick rob did it better sorry to say I’m a fan of both but rob was cleaner a lot clean monster energy won this!
different tricks. jackos untucked no hander is a worlds first never been done and way more difficult
Somebody just needs to pull a 180 and land switch.
Doubt it would score high enough without a flip
I'm cheering for Strong! 🎉
Worst part of the FMX are the judges.
Taka Higashino fighting on his home ground
I give to Jacko respect, he done front flip no hander raw, but Rob was cleaner, his FF No Handler was ideal for me, two attempts and two nice shots! I don't understand judges decision!
2023 and x games are still behind with their video quality...
I remember when a backflip would not only win best trick, but was un heard of... Now a double backie variation doesn't even guarantee a podium! Truly nuts... And that's aside from what the boys on snow are doing in big air!!! Progression plus
rob easy one that
rob was cleaner but jackos trick being untucked was more difficult and a worlds first
I feel like a rock solid backflip is way more insane than a no hander front flip. Harry and Taka had the best trick in my opinion
❤❤❤
I can't even imagine how it is possible to double back flip a motocycle
I’m an Aussie and love the Aussies but can’t go past taka higashino
You can argue what trick is better than another, but when it’s the same trick, it’s clear Adelberg had way better no handers AND the front flip was smoother than Jackson’s. This Adelberg should contact his lawyer!
not the same trick at all jacko is untucked which is way more difficult and has never been done before worlds first
I feel the commentator was wrong saying taka was the first Japanese FMX rider in x games , daisuke suzuki compete in x games global freestyle moto?
Awesome
Красавцы! Old School. И никто не упал )
I love cali
Man look that he stands, early 2000’s that entire stadium would have been over packed!!
How gnarly would a clean 360 n body varial be?
I love freestyle motocross it is a good American sport with Real American athletes
I don't know about you guys but I feel like the broadcasters could be doing a lot better job at naming the tricks. I feel like they're describing what they're seeing instead of actually naming the trick that was performed. 🤷♂️
They have to do something to spice things up
Adelberg best!!! Strong 2st
❤🎉
Eu achava que os juízes só roubava no Brasil mais caro que tá dando as notas roubando mais do que os ministros do STF😅😅
To keep winning Xgames using the same trick every year is WHACK AF we need better judges!
the winner is rob !!!
Truth is..Fmx is dying..Sad to see...
Has been for years you get the odd crazy new trick but been pretty stale
It’s been dead for a while, all the innovators have retired and now it’s just repeats of the same tricks from a decade ago.
Surely at this point they're just running up against the limits of physics.
the jackson's robb
Guess a longer run in .
Rob Adelberg got robbed. Either of his runs were better than either of Jacksons
I’m waiting for a 720 double
What are the judges watching
Twitch Stenberg singlehandedly started the head shake thing for moto. People without Tourettes do it now lol.
Where's the Big Air competition?
where's the crowd?
X needs a refresh on just about everything. Courses, half the athletes, and broadcast. The old broadcasts were mini movies with the athletes. Now its a lot of dead air and the popular riders in the back of the pack doing the same tricks for the last 10 years.
боюсь, что ничего нового уже не придумать (
Was this from this year or any of the last 5? Also when I was young they at least tried to hide the ludicrous judging decisions but this was just blatant! 🤷♂️
Listen first off, what these guys do is mental. That being said the level of progression is kinda stagnent last few years both these guys have been doing the same trick for the past three years.
funny how MX gets 90-95 first place scores at xgames and skateboarding gets 80-90 scores on street and vert- send them judges HERE instead of these idiots that jank out real gold medal runs with 7th place runs based on names in the sport
Travis Pastrana forever 👍🥰
Is it just be or did the guy that got 2nd place do the trick way cleaner than the first place winner???
im confused with the judgement on this.
so fu-king sad to see that the judges thinks a frontlip seems so easy
They need to make this event like the red bull x fighters. Should be dark with lights and all that. This stuff is too gnarly to be heard in an empty stadium. These announcers arent doing it any justice either. Tricks that are getting 94s and 95s they're just like "Oh yeah thats easy for him. Whats for lunch? "Please save motocross Xgames! PLEASE> Cant keep doing the same stuff every year and expect growth. We need better commentary. Better production. Better set up. Better environment. Xgames lacks what we used to hurry home and wait around all day for. Xgames has turned from a true sport spectacle to something thats cool to be playing in the background. 300k vies in a month? This should be getting 300k views in a week. Call me and i can save this event.
Pretty upset that Big Air wasn't shown.
I don't think there was one crash.. kinda boring now. Not to say crashing is cool just it shows they are really pushing the boundaries. The back flip tsunami @ 3:15 was probably the craziest trick tbh not many people know how hard that actually is.
How tf two flips dont beat one is beyond me
