Converting a Concrete Pipe Into an Amazing Cabin Home
Join us as we feature another talented creator that we feel deserves a little appreciation for their unique style and talent. With demands for more housing in big cities ever-growing, yet space being the issue, alternatives must arise. We love this low-cost, practical and exceptionally designed tiny-home. Built from repurposed concrete water pipes that measure a little over eight feet in diameter. Watch as he transforms a boring piece of building material, into a quirky, cosy home of his own.
We hope you enjoy this review of Amazing Cabin Home!

Just the door alone...is a masterpiece!!!
No two ways about it
Yeah. But on winter days is gonna be a problem
Incredibly talented!!! I feel so lazy watching this 😆
I must admit I am very impressed by the front door concept.
It's stylish, but honestly it's my least favorite thing about the project. It would not be comfortable to use, I think.
I enjoy the love you put in however it needs: 1. Shutters for the exposed glass (solar heat gain) 2. Penetron or Chryso painted onto the concrete (waterproofing) 3. An internal skin which will allow for insulation. You can use timber purlins and bendy-ply All easily achievable and it will help you avoid mould and put less pressure on your A/C. Also this is a lounge that you can sleep in- not a micro-living unit.
Pretty amazing project! Love all the woodworking and that bamboo flooring. However.... there's no insulation around that and cement is really cold in the winter. Also, there's no running water, or toilet. And while those fish in the window are a cute idea, they're gonna freeze in the winter and the glass will break from the pressure of the water expanding so better drain that before the first freeze. This would make a nice hideaway place if you had a normal house on a fair bit of property. A really cool design and great workmanship!
Our winter temperatures hardly go below 10 degree centigrade.so fine for us.but a toilet would have been nice
Why do you assume that it freezes everywhere in winter? You sound American, and believe it or not, America is not the world.
@@Connor-zy6kl Probably because there is snow on the ground at 1:35...

@Keith Robertson exactly. Plus it is hard to get a true understanding of person to space difference.
So glad you mentioned that the interior was not shown. Thx
I agree.

Totally
Unnecessary, dude. 🙄😁👌
Weather might make the wood swell, creating some trouble
These pipes would be great if you incorporated them in a underground homes, they would be good for connecting sections and make good storage space, and a entrance hall.
That's a really beautiful piece of art but I can't help the fact being worried about water intrusion, lack of isolation and wood rot. Other than that, amazing!
Yeah I agree on top of that its ability to cool down would be bad. So if it's a hot summer it's going to be so hot in there on top of that there's mold problems because cement can absorb mold
Hot in the summer, cold in the winter, moldy, yeah all that. Cute tho
@@joec3537 I suppose you can solve it by dumping bucket loads of paint on it or paint That's meant for cement. But it's heat dissipation is going to be a major issue during the summer.
insects & rodents, too. It looked very "invade-able."
I was thinking it needed to be buried, like an artificial hill, to help with temperature regulation. That'd also help prevent it from rolling (which is a non-issue in some areas, but a possible concern in others). But yeah, it seems more like a fancy playhouse or guest room than a mini-house (no kitchen, no bath, no toilet, no sink).
The entrance door is one of kind, I have never seen before. Amazing..

The talents this young man possesses. This is beautiful!
WOW! imagine a whole center populated by pipe micro houses of former homeless people!!!
I was in Cairo Egypt in the early 80's, and the USA had started a new sewer system to combat the chronic disease problem. They dug huge trenches, and stacked the equally huge pipes 3-high by the side. The city thanked the Americans, saying they'd finish the job themselves. Within months the holes were filled with rubbish, and all the pipes were being used as houses, complete with numbers, mailboxes, and electric lights, pirated from the local supply. Very resourceful!
In nevada, they just opened a tiny home community for homeless people. While they aren't water pipes, the idea behind them is promising
The door is such a highlight! 😍

Amazing that's real cute and so neat how it's a repurposed pipe part and the man who built the inside and that door is epically amazing 😍 great job!!!
I wonder how long it last before it falls apart.
I do have two big things to say about this house though. 1. The issue with heating it in the winter, I don't see a way to do that without central air, and yes I know they have other types of heat sources my house uses gas, but then comes the issue with ventilation. My second issue. It clearly gets cold enough for it to freeze as we sawn snow, so those fish are gonna die.
@@youtubestuff683 I suppose a Buddy Heater may work but would need a ventilation system...
If he got a U section or two L and U he could make an underground section too or a T and a U and a T and a - he could have an upstairs and a downstairs.

This isn’t a living space, really - it’s a piece of art. From that perspective, he hit it out of the park! I know what sections of massive concrete pipe would be good for; storm shelters! Half-buried in the ground or anchored to something buried in the ground. The shape is ideal for strength and the sheer weight of concrete is definitely a plus. Hmm, something to think about.
