  • I really like the fact that the trainer tells them to protect the aggressor against severe head injuries. It is one thing to defend your-self but another to kill or paralyse another human being, EVEN if he or she attacks you. This distinguishes you from the aggressor and should be the reason why you should learn how to fight. Great video, mille gracie

There are former American soldiers who have spilled some nasty stories about what they and their comrades did to innocent people, so I don't believe I can really have an opinion on it unless I've experienced it.

      @ethandonnelly1973@ethandonnelly19733 жыл бұрын
    • @Michael Smith Doesn't matter what does and doesn't work, pushing someones head back in any situation aint the danger, it's the floor bit that's worrying. Forget this maneuver, the two parts I'm talking about is all I'm referring to

      @ethandonnelly1973@ethandonnelly19733 жыл бұрын
    • @Michael Smith Well, again ignoring this maneuver, my general rule of thumb is that if someone goes down you make damn sure they stay down Thankfully haven't had to fight anyone in years, but I'm not about to risk getting the shit kicked outta me just because someone went down for a bit, especially when I never throw the first punch, A solid kick to the thigh or stomach is definitely on the menu at that stage

      @ethandonnelly1973@ethandonnelly19733 жыл бұрын
    • @Michael Smith My guy, you're not really listening to me here are you? I have said multiple times, I'm not talking about this video. ANYTHING you do that results in someone going down or having their head get pushed around is what I'm talking about. If someone goes down for any reason, and they hit their head, it's dangerous. And if someone goes down but clearly isn't out, I'm not gonna give them the opportunity to get back up on sheer principle, I'm not talking about this video or little pushes.

А в реальности каких-то результатов не стоит ждать раньше чем через год занятий. Организм должен наработать новые рефлексы и, а для этого нужна куча повторений.

I doubt anyone in real life would just stand there, arms extended, and let you do your thing after throwing their punch. Of course, in class, you don't want to hurt one another and your learinng technique, but this is how most martial arts classes go I think and you have to start somewhere. Of course, I expect a lot of criticism over my view point. Fine, this is how I saw it.

    • I was scrolling to see if anyone was going to point this out.. I agree with you.. It's no different than Aikido students throwing themselves around.. Muay Thai and BJJ are so successful because a) they're effective and efficient, and b) you actually do the moves when you train.. All this step here, pull this nostril with your left thumb, poke this eye with your big toe while biting this ear and headbutting his balls while keeping side control all within a split second bullshit is just that, bullshit.. Every krav maga nut I've sparred with were clueless, except for the ones with experience in another full contact sport like boxing, kickboxing or some form of grappling - which means what exactly? It means that krav maga is useless AND wearing camo pants and black t shirts doesn't help win you a fight... Nor does breaking your hands and wrists while punching in a real fight btw.. Oh maybe you can get one guy off you and walk away with a shot hand that's now useless, but once his friend comes flying in from over here, what are you going punch him with? Your fucking dick? Knowing krav maga guys, they probably would.. Jesus christ almighty.. 😒

If you're judging Krav by this video, then you really need to watch some videos of guys earning their brown or black belt. These are obviously beginners. I got as far as orange, and spent an hour in the ER getting my lip stitched up after that test. It's a tough, tough form of self defense. • All martial arts (some exceptions) are effective when you train and actually been in a fight or two (not tournaments). You learn very quickly what you are in a real fight, win, lose, gun, gangs, or cops. These days, depending on where you live, you're not fighting one person, unarmed. Such a world we live in these days. Ugh... I love this instructor and his lessons. Awesome teacher and love his explanations. I wish him and his school all the best and thanks to Luca Goffi for this video. God bless

But It doesn’t work like that. It will get worse. Good to know self defense at these end days. It will get worse. NOR for bullying but to protect yourself and your family.

    • +Alexander Braun If someone falls with all their weight, head-first into the ground, they most certainly could die from that fall. Fairly easily depending on the person falling. Punching someone in the face is definitely not as dangerous as cracking your head against the ground. I mean, which is worse? All someone's body weight (100-200 ibs. on average) smashing into the hard ground, or four punches to the face, usually not even breaking anything?

      @jacobbetz9657@jacobbetz96578 жыл бұрын
    • I'm pretty sure that you can easily die because of those punches.

      @alexanderbraun3454@alexanderbraun34548 жыл бұрын
    • Alexander Braun Yeah well, you'd be wrong. How many fights end in death, Professional or otherwise? It's highly unlikely for four punches to be fatal. Busting your head on the ground however, is almost definitely going to end in a concussion and/or brain damage, and likely even death. I mean, look at boxing matches, only a few of those are fatal and that is from numerous strikes to the head, sometimes over the length of 30 min. or more. I'm guessing you don't know much about fighting, nor have you punched/been punched in the face. Not to insult you or anything, just making an assumption.

      @jacobbetz9657@jacobbetz96578 жыл бұрын
    • +Jacob Betz I'm counting at least 6 chainpunches, elbow included, to the back of the head without a chance to let the energy go anywhere else than the brain. He is lying on the ground without any chance to defend or protection. Professional fights are professional fights. The fighters are protected f.e. with gloves or other gear. Furthermore those fighters are trained pretty well. I guess that it's not me who doesn't know a lot about fighting. I attempted strikes where the attacked person lost consciousness instantly. He was even standing and could move his head backward to take away some force. Those punches are definitely suitable for killing someone. Not just because those punches are to the back of the head. Also he uses his bodyforce to connect them. 100% lethal.

  • One thing I'd like to see more of with these technique videos is having the aggressor try to compensate like in real life instead of just letting it happen. I'm not saying it won't work IRL, but IRL the if he already has contact with your chest, the opponent won't just keep going past you when you side step.

    @ffffgggg3304@ffffgggg33042 жыл бұрын
  • Krav Maga tends to work best as what I like to call and "overlay art". On its own its a bit hard for it to be really effective as an art because the training methods and drills aren't super practical. But Krav draws a lot of its techniques from muay thai, judo, jiu-jitsu, Sambo and other arts. If you cross trained in them and learned how to apply them in sparring, translating it to Krav is pretty easy and helps you understand how to make the techniques more "street ready" (i.e. Thai knee to the groin, or throw on the head). You already learned how to apply the techniques under pressure from randori, playing, or rolling, so you know how to look past the slow drills and get to the heart of the technique.
