So Cam is Sort of right but also missed the mark here. The reason the majority of your GoPro footage looks bad is because of KZhead’s compression algorithm. Most people are uploading 1080 footage. When you do this KZhead encodes the video with the AVC.1 codec. If you upload footage 1440x2560 and above KZhead will encode the video with the VP9 codec. This is the codec you want KZhead to use. So yes bitrate matters during export but resolution is what triggers the compression algorithm on KZhead’s end. I have an entire video on my channel breaking this down. If you want to see what codec KZhead used on your video go to stats for nerds while the video is playing. So if your computer is kinda slow film in 1080 60p and export your project in 1440x2560 with a high bitrate and that is the real solution. If you have a big channel like AJ and you upload 1080 KZhead will still give you VP9 because you get a lot of views and you are more important to the algorithm. For us smaller channels we are not afforded that luxury.
Yep yep yep. This comment should be stickied. Took me ages to figure this out. For 1440p60 I export at 100k bitrate which is the same bitrate the GoPro outputs (on high)
AWESOME VIDEO!!! Thank you
Great video
Thanks for this, it was proper useful! As someone who has recently starting recording my rides I've been massively frustrated as to why my GoPro Hero 10 was coming out pixelated. I use Premiere Pro so the Bitrate suggestion is massively helpful. Thank you!
Good stuff
Good stuff. Using DaVinci Resolve you can go with quicktime output H.265 and about 80K bitrate, saves a little space and I don't see the difference on youtube.
Sooooo...this all great info. But, I DO use the go-pro app. Any advice on how to get the best results out of the app? I'm a simpleton, not a pro. Just want to put some 2-5min highlights of my ride up. Getting the best out of the Go-Pro app would be helpful. Thanks TMA.
So I have a question for ama you can’t have that or anything on your helmet, so what do we do with the chest mount
How do I get footage from my GoPro to my iPhone so I can use iMovie? Also, does GoPro do software updates? How often? Thanks!
what is the best think to do if you wan to do youtube (I have the gopro and the adaptor for the helmet ) but don't have a really good computer help me please
I think that mount has some safety concerns. Doesn’t even have clearance from helmet to chest. I threw mine in the trash. What about wind? I changed mine from auto after skiing and mountain biking and put on a foam cover instead. Thanks for the video
Great video guys. good hints. What about Capcut Pro... decent ? Filmora ?
I'm sure they work great! We just all use Premier or DaVinci ourselves.
in imovie they are saying that i cant go over 66 mbits and i have a goporo hero 11 and a mackbook air M1. somoene can help pls
lol, bitrate or byterate? I get what you mean, bitrate is king!
Y would i use 4k if i dont even have anything that can show 4k and youtube downgrades it anyways
The reason you cant edit 4k 60 is because you are on a mac, the hardware spec of even the newest mac is ancient. that is just fanboy at its finest and hurting your workflow. Main issue is that you need to upload something higher then 1080p to hit KZheads better codec for higher res content
New macs have their own processor, not Intel anymore, much faster than any pc in the same price range
@@mikeyh701 not wrong, but on windows there is software that is optimized to use your GPU which is much faster then either. Also there are far more options. you can easily edit 4k 60 on a basic windows pc. it has to be software
You keep saying 150 megaBYTES per second. No. you mean 150 MegaBITS per second.
6:31 What kind of crappy advice is that???? You have a Mac, that's the reason your computer can´t handle the 4K 60 FPS
