Some corrections, DICE confirmed a 5th season months ago, and Discarded is not the final map to be reworked. Hourglass hasn't been reworked yet, but I'm guessing they won't release that until season 5. Which would make sense because that map needs the most work out of all of them.
Hourglass could've been so much better. It's currently my second favourite map in the game, with only one aspect dragging it down... The lack of a really cool levolution event where the sandstorm actually builds up the sand on the map, so when it passes the ground is essentially way higher up. To be honest, this wouldn't really effect gameplay very much, but I just think it would have been so cool to watch... Maybe vehicles would get buried in the sand?
they should add atleast two more to even out for all the class, with this specialist wed have 4 recons and assaults but only 3 supports and engineers

Umm... When was the last time you played the game? You do realise that they brought back classes, right? There is virtually no excuse now to dislike specialists, since we technically did have them in bfv and bf1, but people didn't care back then.

@@Flakfire at least theyre doing discarded first attrocious map, hourglass' zones are at least fun to play on just feels too spread out even with vehicle play

What about PORTAL? It's like it's just forgotten, the potential could single handily bring in players curre tly playing past titles.
DICE did drop the ball with Portal for sure. Not one single map has been added. What a big tease. Why even add something like this to not even add shit to it. And then giving up on Hazard Zone as well. DICE/EA just give up to easy at times. Same shit they did with Firestorm and BFV.
@@jcaashby3 theres also the fact that the last time i playes it when it was put on gamepass, it felt completely souless compared to the older battlfields. It runs better than the beta but still isnt worth $20 for me personally

Missed opportunity to make the last character Recker from bf4. Maybe that’s for the better.

I’m getting close to purchasing this game… I was SUPER turned off during the beta test and launch with not only the feel, performance, and general direction of the game, but also Dice’s rhetoric.

I think i now have to use 5 bucks to buy the battlepass... bought a legendary weapon that i really wanted with some of my free points. The battlepass actually gives alwasy something to grind. So giving a 5 bucks for around 30 hour gameplay time i guess it's worth it.
They should add recker in season 5
That would be cool. I don't know if they would do it ever. But it would be cool if they added default soldier Character models with the ability to switch both equipment slots. If you get my drift.
I'm expecting a Breakaway type rework for Hoiurglass making it feel like a new map kinda. Hourglass has always been my favourite map because of its style and setting, but absolute garbage in terms of gameplay. I've got high hopes for that one. BTW go back and have a look at the the concept arts for BF2042. there you can see what Hourglass was originally going to "maybe" look like.. it's nuts

@@theboyscorner9712 I hear you. I'm taking every step in only when the foot comes down. I am very disappointed at amount and quality of the maps, but season 5, if it comes, is one more updates. Maybe even a map. Vault weapons are next to useless most times and content is lacking. But I'm enjoying what's here.
Last specialist sounds good, but hopefully we’ll still get unique gadgets unlike what we’re used to.
It’s nice to see they are adding real world weapons that look futuristic
I read the title, but I just see ‘Battlefield 4’ … I ve not touched this game or have any interest since it came out .. just waiting for the next attempt, hopping they listen this time.
I hope those Specialists never come back to a Battlefield game. The class system doesn't work at all with them.

2042 = THE MOST ANTI-TEAM, ANTI-CLAN TITLE IN BF HISTORY! No clan representation and restricted to staying and playing on servers with only 3 friends or 1 squad !
It's getting better, but the maps still suck. It's also not possible to play just the maps that you like, and I hate that. Give us a server browser with filters and also community servers.
All they’ve done is make the game that should’ve released on launch. I have yet seen anything that has made me want to download it again.

STILL MISSING! 1. NO CLAN REPRESENTATION! 2. No server browser 3. No squad mgmt 4. No Factions/Uniforms 5. No staying & playing on a server 6. No map rotation 7. Restricted to playing w/ 3 friends 8. No “assist count as kill” 9. Can’t FULLY edit load out before game start
I reinstalled the game, updated it. Customized the classes. Entered a queue for conquest. Just as I joined the map was over. And for some reason you can't stay on the server for the next map. So I queued for another game. Got in, played for fifteen minutes. Alt-f4:d out of it and uninstalled again.
Yes you can stay in the server,after the Match is over do not press return to menu,u can't Toutch any Button untill it takes you back
The specialist system is a fucking joke, they just tried to cod, battlefield
BF was always a ROLE based game, specialist are just different in that aspect even in contrast of COD its more closer to TF2 mercenaries than anything else
You sound like someone who has not played especially since the Class system was added back. The shit just works great IMO. Best class set up of any BF ...in my opinion. Way more options with each class.

It's starting to feel a little more like a battlefield. Although There are still not enough gun restrictions for each class in my opinion. I'm starting to enjoy it a little more. Like you said. The devs are starting to find their rhythm. Hopefully the next release will be more like a original battlefield
Honestly I’m still really upset at how this game launched but I think they really are trying..I still get the feeling that after 5-6 seasons the content will be pulled for the next Battlefield. But whatever that is…That’s dices last chance..They CANNOT launch this next one like BFV or 2042. It has to release like one of the older games without the bugs. It’s the only way this franchise will have a chance

I had 0 doubts about future of this game on launch. Upcoming seasons will only make game better now. 3.2 was a big Win.
I had many doubts it's definitely as good as it's going to get. I still have frustration though towards this game in general but that doesn't take away what they did do. I just hope it doesn't happen again with the next game.

It has. Next game is most likely to drop in 2025 and we can just hope that the future is brighter than the past.
I really hope this game gets a second year of support. They could just port models from BF4 and I would still be happy.
I've looked into other "major updates" to bf2042. There are hacks that people made for battlefield 1 and 5 that still work and don't get you banned 4+ years later. They've lost my business.

Hopefully it's the last specialist in the Battlefield franchise entirely.

Idk, we only have one non-binary character and not a single neo-gender like clown gender or fish-gender. Are they transphobic? Also, how am I supposed to play any of these characters when I don't know their sexual orientations? Am I supposed to just run around and shoot stuff in the game? It is current year after all!
I mean yea that is hundred percent accurate 5 out of every 14 infantry soldiers are woman it's not like they are 1 percent in the army and 0 in special forces

Recons are the only ones that have access to TUGS, Drones. Besides the q-spotting no other class has spotting gadgets?

@@jcaashby3 my bad, didnt play that much since 3.2, but firing a gun should not put you on minimap, so still plenty of spotting for everyone
