If the recent Hitman trilogy is to be believed, the world of hired assassins is impossibly glamorous. Therefore, if you find yourself the subject of a professional hit, you could reasonably expect to be killed in an impossibly glamorous way. Hitman is all about freedom of choice however, and so offers plenty of alternative assassination methods that are less glamorous, and more so totally embarrassing that you’d die of shame, if you hadn’t already died of being drowned in a toilet.

I think my favorite part of eliminating Rangan with the fan is that later, you can hear the director tell someone to just keep it in the final film because it'll make for a more interesting ending.

Being induced to be sick through an emetic poison then drowned in his own vomit laced toilet water is what I consider joint worst but most embarrassing way to be assassinated.
Most of the targets had none to begin with.

@Steve N I just went back and checked, and Mike didn't get a No Bodies Found bonus for his kill, so I think the duck was in fact the cause of death - I still can't believe no one else was killed and no one blamed the guy who very clearly chucked somethign after the target, though.

I like that the actress Dawood Rangan was supposed to make out with (even though she REALLY doesn’t want to go through with it) is so unbelievably blasé about the fact that a man just died in front of her. She literally says “Well, I always knew he had an inflated ego. Just didn’t think it would cause lift-off like that.” That line just adds an extra level of hilarity to an already hilarious death.
everybody in the level is heard making fun of him for it. One of the other lead actors, along with the director of the film, will literally say in an NPC conversation that they should keep that in the final film because it'll make a more interesting ending

There's dialogue in the game that suggest Dawood is poisoning the actress' mother so he can ensure that she doesn't leave the country. I assume the actress doesn't know this but it's yet another reason for her to hate his guts.

She wasn't, but chef making that specific sushi was known from his lethal cooking. One of his ancestors fed soap to whole bomber squadron during WW2 just to prove that every serviceman there had completely lost their sense of taste. He was very right about that.

I know it wasn’t a normal target, but I’m surprised Mike’s infamous rubber duck silent assassin kill wasn’t on here. The elusive target was in the middle of live-streaming, when he gets taken down by an exploding rubber duck. Worse still, he’s the only death from the crowd of people that surrounded him. I believe it also counts as a meta embarrassment for Andy, the silent assassin king, who had previously spent ages trying to set up a proper takedown only to get frustrated and off him haphazardly in anger. Meanwhile Mike, Mr. Zero Star himself, whips a bomb at the guy the first chance he gets, and strolls away clean.
I vaguely remember this and would love to rewatch it. Do you remember which target it was?

The funny thing about the Alexa death is that she notices the exposed cable mentions it and then ignores it
I found out that if you drop something, like a propane flask for example, and someone sees, they make a fuss about it and then ignore it. Or at least they will in Sapienza bit of the Patient Zero missions. I was expecting the guards to pick it up or make me pick it up but they didn't. In hindsight, going that route like Mike did was actually ridiculously hard to do and I won't repeat it when I try for a 5 star Silent Assassin on everything.
The same with Vidal in Mendoza when Diana points out the OH&S risk to her.
To be fair, this is also me every time I notice something out of place. "Oh, I should do something about that." *does not do something about it, walks by it again ten minutes later and thinks "Oh, I should do something about that," repeat*

Something I recently learned about the slurry pit, is that after you finish the mission story, you can go talk to Sean Rose, and tell him Penelope failed the test, and that she is by the slurry pit. This causes a second target to just so happen to stand right there for easy pushing (slightly harder this time but still easy)

I live in the northern united States and my grandparents had a farm with a slurry pit, (though we just called it the shit pit) one winter the surface of the pit froze over and my cousin (6) decided to go walking on it. I was out there with him. I was about 10 when this all happened. While walking on it, the ice started cracking and he fell in. You can't swim in shit. If I wasn't there to pull him out, he would have drowned in shit. The funniest part of it all was when we got back to the house, I walked inside and he followed me. His dad physically kicked him back outside because they were getting ready for Christmas dinner and didn't need a shit pile walking through the kitchen. So he was outside and had to be washed off before he could come inside, so they stripped him and sprayed him off with the hose till he was clean enough to walk to the bathroom for a shower. They sprayed him with a hose. Outside. In northern united States. In the middle of a winter cold enough to freeze cow shit. I could not stop laughing.
That is incredibly cruel to do to a kid, but who the hell walks on thin ice on top of a sh*t pit?! I'm just glad it ended up being a life lesson and not a funeral.

The best part about the parachute kill from Hitman 3 is that you can add insult to injury by immediately jumping off the tower and using your parachute successfully, right after their parachutes failed

You can do it with the Knox's if you time Robert's push kill just right. He'll hit Sierra's car, die, and the car will go out of control and crash, killing Sierra.
I liked the Yakuza Lawyer kill where you pose as a yoga instructor and push her off a cliff right after she says "This is a view to die for" a little too much I think.

The therapist snuffing out Silvio Caruso in sapienza is counted as an accident, which inevitably means that the official verdict of death was that he accidentally suffocated himself on his pillow while he was getting comfy on his couch.

Rico Delgado at Santa Fortuna, getting crushed by his own statue was really funny and such an embarrassing way for him to die. Andrea Martinez can also be crushed, but there is a sweet irony with Rico Delgado.

I'd definitely argue in favour of the minesweeper easter egg kill in Hokkaido - place an explosive duck next to the windsock as the surgeon and the console is replaced with a game of minesweeper. Completing it causes all the bombs to fall into the surgery room and blow up Soders. Being killed by a game of minesweeper is pretty embarassing

Speaking of a target falling on another target... I always liked pushing Robert Knox off the Kronstad building, timing it just right so he falls onto Sierra while she's racing by 🏎 it's such a satisfyingly embarrassing kill to them both.

@@ka-mai it's not too hard. Lure Robert onto the 3rd floor balcony by sabotaging the computer/satellite dish. Use the dongle from the desk in his office, and get rid of his bodyguard. When he's on the balcony trying to fix the computer, he will lean over the edge for awhile. Wait behind him, and when you see (hitman vision) Sierra about halfway down the straightway on the racetrack, give Robert the ol' push-arooney. Then sit back and enjoy the show 😉

I'd heard that Emma would do it herself if you took too long. I did the detective method in that one and I guess I worked fast enough because I didn't have to contend with Emma. That said, it took me 3 attempts to coin the detective to the bushes outside the gates and he still saw me before I knocked him out. I just left it at that and did the mission even though it dropped me a start for getting seen.
@@SolaScientia Could be that. I don't want to spoil too much, but as far as I know, you as the player need to fix something before Emma can use it to take care of Alexa. Maybe she fixes it herself if you take too long. That would be an interesting assassination.
@@MSte21 I've played the mission, so spoilers is fine, lol. And yeah, I fixed the chemistry set in the greenhouse to create the poison to compare it to another poison sample. I'd seen the 3 ways to play, so I already knew it was Emma, but I still went around collecting all the clues and talking with each suspect. I think I'd waited till close to the end before I went into the greenhouse to investigate there. I suppose I could get to the greenhouse first, fix the thing used to make the poison, and then just mill about the place until I get the target killed notice. With my run, I'd wanted to actually choke her out, drag her over to a nearby box, then snap her neck and toss her in the box. As it is, I just pushed her over the balcony because I got spotted when I knocked her out the first time, so I loaded an earlier save and killed her how Andy did. The detective seeing me before I could choke him made me get 4 stars on that run. Considering that I had a rough idea of the cinematic after that mission, I'm glad I killed her myself. That bit is also why I chose to kill the Constant rather than give him the memory erasing serum.
15:10 Funniest thing about the slurry pit kill is that after you push Penelope into the pit, you can then go up to Sean Rose, tell him about the set up and he will want to go to the slurry pit too, where you can subdue him and throw him in as well🤣 2 birds, 1 stone or 2 birds, 1 pit in this case

The most embarrassing kill was in Hitman: Blood Money when a wheel-chair guy trying to chase 47 on stairs and insta-dies because of that. It is embarrassing on so many levels.
As a Swede I can confirm that life sized moose's hanging from the ceiling is a common decoration in both public buildings and homes alike. The release of hitman made us all start using stronger cables.
Remember that time when absolutely everyone in that Dubai hotel mysteriously died falling down an elevator shaft except for that one woman who got stuck in the floor and had to be shot? Or was that me?
But what about walking under a large suspended item (preferably an ironic representation of your evil deeds) only for it to fall and just barely miss you and before you even have the time to register how close it was, the frustrated hitman rounds the corner opening fire because it was master difficulty and now they have to restart the level
Better professional than master (or whatever the highest is called) difficulty. I had enough trouble with missions as it is on professional difficulty without all the extra security cameras and other additives of the highest difficulty. Unless you meant the highest difficulty instead of professional. And I definitely just shot a few targets when whatever I was trying to do to them didn't work properly. Half of Mendoza is bugged on PS5, so I had to shoot the last target in front of all his guards because he wouldn't leave the room for either the massive wine spillage or to kill and try and kill Diana.
9:59 I honestly messed up at this mission and just threw the ball at him while he was eating. That's a spicy meatball!
Honestly, I think that the ejector seat kill does cause him to exit the top of the facility, but then the thrusters stop and he's caught by some people at the top, because they ALL knew this was gonna happen.
Well, ejector seats have parachutes in them, so he probably just floated down to the ground.
@@ChibiPanda8888 Funny enough. No! After you kill Jasper knight using the ejector seat, if you stick around after, some people will say like "The recruit wasn't supposed to kill him that way!" Meaning 47 genuinely killed the guy playing Jasper Knight. The ejector seat method is also the canon kill method.

Killed by mike in general without anyone noticing or caring should be #1. Runner up being Jane's poison room that people just ran into one after another.
I recall a rather amazing clip of the race mission where the father was ejected into the race track, hitting his daughter's car and causing it to spin out and flip, killing both in one fell swoop. While more impressive sounding than embarrassing, I'm sure anybody would feel a brief moment of embarrassment having their father's body fall on top of them, before you know, everything goes crash and boom, obviously.
The level-design in Hitman is truly amazing. I love travelling to these beautiful locations again and again to escape the covid-lockdown in my country - and yes, I also do enjoy the "funny assassination" part.

Why stop at humiliating the dead? Personally I'm a big fan of knocking several dozen people out with a fish, stealing their clothes and leaving them in pairs in a bin somewhere. The best part is, since some of the same guards are present in multiple missions, there's a decent chance that some of them have had the same thing happen several times...
I laughed really hard at how you put a bunch of alternate angles for the golf ball kill, great editing lol. The target looks so funny ragdolling away!
Honorable mention : get killed by mike with explosive duck and still get with stealth kill
Some other funny deaths: Being violently juiced or becoming a human popsicle (Tamara Vidal- Argentina). Death by birthday cake (Jordan Cross- Cambodia) Concrete Cannon (Andrea Martinez-Coloumbia) Stabbed by a dead guy (Zoe Washington- Ark Society) Another double fall death (Knox family-Miami) Choo Choo Train (Malestrom and Shah- Dehli).
I did the concrete cannon in Colombia and it was so fun. Same for using the grape press for Vidal in Mendoza. I was so happy the Isle of Sgail wasn't bugged for me and I could do the stabbing disguised as Janus. Sadly, Mendoza is bugged on PS5 and I couldn't kill the second target with the chandelier like I wanted. He wouldn't leave the room, so I just had to shoot him in front of everyone and leg it out of there.
Causing someone to slip/fall into the water in Haven Island, where they then ddie by accidental drowning.

@@kmac169 I tried one in Berlin with sabotaging the wires like she did, but it didn't work for me for some reason. Might have skipped a step or I was in the wrong location. I did take out the ICA agent on that walkway once I'd knocked out the two tech people nearby (yay for knockout chain with the fusebox).

I don't know if it's more embarrassing, ironic, or just plain amusing but I really loved driving a train through the abandoned train station that the Slum queen has taken up residence in in Mumbai. If you set it up right you can get a two for one special and get both the Maelstrom and Vanya Shah with one train.

The one where you rig the car engine to explode while the guy's fixing it after you sabotaged it, has the potential to look quite embarrassing for a supposed expert about cars to apparently die in a repair accident. Like an electrician getting shocked to death, or a fireman dying in his own house that somehow caught fire.
The first game had a dlc mission called Landslide where you can kill the target by having him pee to electrocute himself.
That's #1 on my list as well. The target dies soaked in his own urine and indecently exposed in a public cemetery.
The kills that come to mind for me are: 1) Death by yoga 2) Bin a unique heart that the target was getting transplanted 3) Nearly everything on the wine tour 4) Eat bad spaghetti and fall off the cliff.

The "acting" thing for the starter missions cracks me up. You can just straight up massacre the entire boat and still get a "good job, 47" from Diana for finishing.

A bit disappointed you didn't cover the other Hitman games. I like the one in Blood Money where the target is a performer with pyrotechnics and you can rig them to blast her with fire all at once. After which she runs around stage screaming before jumping into a fish tank the stage was sitting on top of.. that had sharks in it.

One not only did the lady get offed by Mike in traditional unplanned Mike fashion but two Mike got his one and only Silent Assassin that day which has to be even more embarrassing than the family photo electrocution by Jane. You know what speaking of Mike can we get a follow-up list of Mike's top ten Hitman kills.
I can't believe you mentioned hitting one target with another and dropping the lighting rig without mentioning the other fatality in that episode-- getting drowned in a toilet.
With the electrocution death in Dartmore, it gets even better if you puncture a propane flask put it under her chair. Only do this if you don’t mind losing your Silent Assassin rating though.

Goddamn, I had no idea you could cut the parachutes in the Dubai mission. I tried and failed for about an hour before I finally managed it, which made me rage quit the game for a good month or so before completing the rest of it.
Yes, Andy, I agree. I seriously kept laughing at some of this lines. The little puns and just his whole lack of reaction to various things was hilarious to me. I'm a sucker for puns though. For some reason I actually find 47's voice soothing (good job, David Bateson) and could to listen to him all the time. Hahaha. I did the fan method in number 4. I have no idea how the woman also wasn't killed, but I never saw a red non-target killed notice pop up. I definitely didn't wait for the woman to leave since I was worried I would miss the opportunity. All the noticing yellow in number 3 made me so nervous; not sure whose run that is, but I'm guessing maybe Mike's or Jane's, but then again, none of them fully filled the yellow to immediately alert anyone and Andy is good at getting only a little bit noticed. I have to try the hippo method on my next Santa Fortuna run. I'm going to start replaying all the missions to get 5 star Silent Assassin ratings on them all. I don't need to do that for Miami; got that rating on my very first attempt at that mission since the security room is so easy to get into in the parking garage. Sapienza is the one I don't want to replay. Yeah, the targets are easy to eliminate, but destroying the virus is a real pain and when I finally did it is was a big fat 0 for me (3 non-target kills did it, lol; 2 were totally accidental, the 3rd was definitely intentional since I did actually need to exit the mission and the guard was in my way with a gun). I missed my chance with the Paris mission using the fireworks; and I didn't realize that the woman won't go to the railing if you kill the man first. Whoops. I actually liked the Colorado level, except that I could never figure out how to get the Interpol badge and disguise, so when Graves when on her loop, I went and put lethal poison in her drink in the greenhouse. I'm going to see if starting in different locations makes some of them a little easier on me. Colorado is a tough level, but I have a ridiculous amount of hate for Sapienza. Any mission I do there, whether story, side, or whatever, is always a major pain and I screw it up somehow. I tried Mike's method in the Patient Zero part set there, and it was actually far more difficult than if I'd just tried to be stealthy and go after the targets individually, which I'll do next time.
Hitman video from OX, I wonder if Paula Kiesling will have an insightful comment 🤔? You did not disappoint. Between you and the OX crews I'm finding myself interested in way more games than I can afford. (Honorable mention to Eurogamer)

Not too sure how insightful I am since it's mainly me just gushing about the games. The Hitman series really is great. I was expecting to be so fully invested in them since I'm terrible at stealth, but I'm properly addicted to them. I'm taking a break to play some Ratchet & Clank right now though.
