I love how they added a loft but just kept the murphy bed on the main floor instead of, like dividing the loft into bedroom and library. This sim must be super attached to their books to sacrifice even their privacy!
Thats what i thought too lmao Imagine the whole loft being just a library space argghhggghggg i live for that fantasy But then again mybe itll break the rule of 3 floors 1 room since doing that might make it into a bedroom? Also head canon that with that many spaces between the few shelfs it might be their storage space too so the ground part of the floor can be minimalisticaly stylish clean
As a book reader myself, I would gladly sacrifice a whole room for books. My friend already has a book nightstand (she has so many books that she was able to stack a bunch of them and use them as a nightstand)
You don't really need privacy in your bed when you live alone tho. Books over privacy 👌👌
I get the vibe that this sim lives a solitary life out in the woods in this cabin, i doubt they have to worry ahout privacy too much.

I love how their builds actually have variation in the style, colour scheme, decor etc... As much as aesthetic is satisfying and everything I love when people push the boundaries and experiment a bit more, I believe there is beauty in all different kinds of styles like when they did the steampunk room before haha.

it's baffling to me how open you are to challenges. like that one time you had to make every room 10x8 and now this. i always reroll when i decide to do some of these for fun, yet you really read "3 floors 1 room" and just do it somehow? it's admirable, honestly

I would love to see a rainbow house! Like one room that is monochrome, not just accents of this or that but REALLY saturated in that colour. And the whole house is just different colours! You could do pastels, darks, brights, etc, just colours in the rainbow
They have a video similar to that where they build each room as a different colour, it turned out great!

Girls! I totally tried to build an A frame house after this video, and I could NOT figure out why my Sim would not ascend the stairs but would descend to lower levels. I rewatched and noticed my booboo, I put the roofs too far out! Thank you so much for being so thorough in your builds so older builders like me can relearn ❤

Red and Green are naturally complementary colors, and I think you both pulled off a very cozy atmosphere by striking a good balance between the two, as well as leaning into the warmer/woodsy-er shades of brown. Sometimes opposite color compliments can feel a bit jarring/difficult to use since so many iconic characters, logos, holidays, motifs, etc. use them and draw various associations to themselves unintentionally, but as long as you work towards a cohesive composition considering the palette as a whole, it can feel a bit less intimidating. 🎨
love the build!! 🥰 i think it would be a good “twin” challenge if you guys would build separately under the same concept then at the end you guys will see how similar or different the builds are, idk if its a good challenge or what 😅
I think it would be pretty cool if y'all did like townhouses where you each separately decorate and then reveal to each other. It would be so cool just to see how truly different your building styles are
I mainly play with A-frame houses since they are such a hack to Tiny Homes. It's cool to see you guys build one! Love the loft.

I think it would be neat if you guys did a video just on the various tricks and "hacks" that you use in your builds. It's always nice to see ya'll describe how you're doing something in your videos, but I keep finding myself going, "Wait, what was that one trick/cheat code that Caryn and Connie used again?"
My one note is I kinda wish the library opened out to that back balcony, like can you just IMAGINE walking out there with a book n a cup of tea in the morning where there's like a light fog but it's still sunny out. That would add so much magic for me. I adore the build tho, y'all were so right about the string lights in the shelves. So much that I'm defo doing that irl for my next bookshelf

Its terrifying to me that the ladder doesnt go into the floor above, it goes into the hole in the floor. If you just climb up normally you fall back down face first, you gotta parkour and turn to get onto the ground next to or behind you

I have an idea! A house where each room is a different ‘holiday’. Eg. Easter, Christmas, Halloween ect. You could also use the seasons. For the holiday ones, try holidays from different cultures as well. Like Diwali and Chinese New Year

Challenge Idea: Create a basegame starter-home where you roll for the amount of rooms you get say you get a 4 then you have to fit your kitchen, dining, livingroom, bedroom, and bathroom into those 4 rooms and then you also role for the size of each room. It's challenging but do-able. You can ignore the basegame or the starter-home part if you so choose but it would be fun to try!
