I always thought that this piece of music is taken from somewhere, when i first heard it in the famous tv series Mr. Bean. I was very surprised when I found out, that it was really compsed for the show with one amazing detail not clear from the simply hearing this music piece, which is the text. Ecce homo, qui est faba means bohld the man, who is a bean.
Performed on musical festival BTZ(Bělotín's week of singing) by choir made of it's participants.
Conducted by great musician conductor from city of Brno, Pavel Koňárek. Organ part played by Petra Andrlová.
Recorded by Martin Vágner, you can go to his channel for full concert:
• Závěrečný koncert XXVI...
Loved the acting that the conductor was doing to get in character
Yes, he is very good actor as well :D
I don't know if I should cry or laugh! Cause this song always made me cry! And this guy's acting is hilarious!
I know what you mean amigo, stuff like this starts the waterworks I've always loved old style church hymns sung in Latin there's just something about them, I always thought as a kid this was an excerpt from a hymn I was surprised to hear it wasn't.
One of the most difficult song especially if your conductor is in a Mr. Bean mask and prancing about like him. It would be very hard to keep a straight face. 0:37 is an evident example of this. They did not start at the same time. I don't blame them. 😁
yeah, we had quite a hard time with this XD
This song make me always cry😢....ill be never forget the legendary..Mr bean😊
The song of the Heaven!
tears fell from eyes so nostalgic thanks Mr Bean for make us laugh 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Salute the choir not laughing while singing 🤣
yes, we had really hard time singing on XD
as you can see, the poor ladies standing in front did laugh. However this choir isn't meant to be strictly ultra conservative. It's meant for humour and there is no harm in laughing.
Props to the conductor for getting in character to lift the spirits up! 😆
He used a prop and you giving him props! 😅
As a huge Mr Bean fan I spent years trying to work out what the choir were singing in the Mr Bean intro! It wasn't until very later on after doing some internet research that I found out it was 'behold the man who is a bean' in latin!
yes, it is kind of inside joke form the creators
I've often wondered actually if Howard Goodall came up with that line himself when he was composing the music or if it was someone else who thought it up and he just composed the music.
I can't explain 2 ways action: - I was cried a lot. - 1 people dislike and very few people like this masterpiece.
The holiest song
best tribute to bean theme ever
Sing along: Ecce homo Qui est faba Ecce homo Qui est faba Vale homo Qui est faba Qui est faba Qui est faba Vale homo Qui est faba Vale homo Qui est faba Qui est faba
How the hell is the choir not laughing when this started? Great control.
we had a really hard time not laughing, especially because conductor didn't tell us he will be pulling such act
@@hawran5433 This reminds me of the Christmas episode where Bean was conducting a those people on the street.
@@XXLSSBBW yeah, I think our conductor studied that episode o prepare for th concert

That bean is a spy
Der Chor ist zu groß, zu viele Brummer dazwischen.
I don't really get conductors' necessity to do that stuff. Every time an orchestra plays popular music, it's the same thing. If they play the Star Wars suite, the conductor switches the baton for a lightsaber, or they don a brown fedora when it's Indiana Jones. I wouldn't be surprised if they tried conducting Schindler's List in an Amon Göth costume. Now they might say they're just having fun and trying to lighten up, but my suspicion is that deep down inside, they're just humorless elitists that consider movie music to be below themselves.
I agree, in a lot of cases conductors really are like that, but this is not the case, this was for the amusement of people and of course so it is easier for them to recognize the theme, it was also kind of trust towards us, because he never told us, he is going to do it, so he had to trust us to be able to sing although we wanted to laugh a lot However, in general, I agree with you.
Ain't funny 😢
