HOW TO LEASH WALK YOUR BELGIAN MALINOIS | STOP LEASH PULLING | YOLO PUP LA

Correct dog pulling on leash with tools from dog behaviorist and trainer, Landy Angeli. Ryka the Belgian Malinois and Mom Jillian turned to Landy for guidance on how to master the art of proper leash walking.
Working dogs often pull ferociously on their lead. It's important for dog owners to teach how to walk properly during leash walks. Train now and it will pay off when they are adult dogs.
This video covers how to stop your dog from biting the leash, how to stop your dog from pulling forward, and what collars are used (Martingale collar, Prong collar, and Regular Collar). Effective tools to help train your dog.

  • I'm a new mom at 57 .my name is Donna. I have subscribed. VERY informative of all the ones I've watched . SHE STARED in biting . I had to do something ,it actually worked . Hot Tabasco on my finger . ONCE. SHE hasn't bite me again . Nor my other dogs . It burned and it also stopped her from hurting us like with the quickness . It may be a short fix . But it worked . SHE IS about 10 weeks . SHE caught a bike THIEF this morning. So she is great . I'm going to do this leases exercise today with her . She tends to lag . But it's because the people I got her from KEEPED her in a crate the whole time . So her legs are sore . Weak . But one day at a time .her name is MELANIA. Mel,lani,lan .lol .

  • Well done, guys! Glad you found the right way to teach Ryka not to pull. Even a regular collar can be a dangerous tool in the hands of the wrong person. It’s always about being able to learn how to use it correctly. Landy looks like a great dog trainer 👍

  • Really useful video! I work at a kennel and this one Belgian mal comes for daycare. He is unwalkable right now. I really think with practicing these techniques in a yard will defiantly help him be ready to walk the trail, and give his mom’s shoulder a break

  • We are about to foster a Malinois/Shepherd mix for a while and hoping to adopt, but the owner confided she needs more leash work as she has had free run of their property. We really want this to work for our family, so appreciate the tips!

  • What do I do when mine keeps biting. Like for one time we could be petting him and then one minute it turns it’s head around and starts to naw and bite (not aggressively) but still and sometimes he starts to bite a little bit aggressively when it gets worked up

    @sykesfor3142@sykesfor31423 жыл бұрын
    • Mine too, and "no, don't bite mommy," doesn't work. Neither does turning around and ignoring him - he just bites the back of my shirt or pants and pulls. Yelping doesn't help either - it makes it a game and gives him attention.
